SWEDISH Model 41 SNIPER rifle #228273 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1908This is not one of the more common 41B snipers, the difference being (a) the bolt is in the white like a regular 96 rifle, but with a bent handle, (b) rear-sight is of the 96 type, (c) the stock-disc is of the two-screw unit-type, and (d) used an AGA m/42 scope in a Jackenroll upper and lower mount that were numbered but did not ever match the rifle's serial # (see Kehaya & Poyer, The Swedish Mauser Rifle, pages 173-175).   Near Excellent condition, with 95% bluing (some wear on triggerguard and magazine-floorplate from carry) and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  All-matching numbers (including wood, which is how I found out what the full serial # was) except rear-sight and cleaning-rod, stock-disk reads 1 / A1 / No.243.  Stock and handguard are of straight-grained light-walnut with only a few contact-marks from adjacent rifles but numerous oil-stains (which I am sure will easily clean-up). 1942-dated AGA 3x65 scope is a bit with a three-post recticle and quite decent optics and includes leather lens-covers. Original non-refurbished Swede snipers are quite rare, not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $1250.    C&R    SOLD

SWISS Model 89/11 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull rifle #300868 (7.5x55 Swiss) mfg. at Waffenfabrik Bern in 1903.   Very Good condition, with much of the external bluing turned to plum.  All-matching numbers, bore is near-perfect and mirror-bright, stock has a few handling-marks and a scratch.  Suitable for modern loads and doubtless an incredible shooter (as all of these really are) with a terrific trigger. PHOTOS  . . . $275.   C&R  SOLD

VENEZUELAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle #4604 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in c.1953.   UNISSUED, with 100% original painted finish (stoving) and mirror-perfect bore (literally looks unfired).  All-matching numbers, Venezuelan crest on receiver is extremely bold and beautiful, with slotted muzzle-break.  Very lovely streaked reddish-walnut stock with excellent figure and several BOLD cartouches, a couple of very insignificant handling-marksIncludes original bayonet that came with this rifle, as well as original leather sling. Certainly one of the  finest examples of this rifle we have ever encountered, not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $975.   C&R SOLD
