AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher long-rifle # 9790X (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916.  Excellent refurbished to new condition, with 98% or so bluing and sharp and mirror-bright bore. All matching serial numbers, beech stock and handguard has some dings and dents from contact with adjacent rifles. Not import-marked, a very attractive M95 long-rifle. The receiver was numbered to match the barrel during refurb.  In Europe it is the barrel, not the receiver, that is the principal licensed part and thus the barrel bears the relevant serial number PHOTO . . . $625.    C&R    SOLD

AUSTRIAN Model 1895/30 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action stuetzer carbine # 7826M (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr (barrel dated 1918). Near Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with full bluing. CZECH Model vz23 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # N4664 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in 1924.  A refurbished rifle in Near Excellent condition with curved factory address atop chamber. The bore is quite strong but not very bright.  The bolt has been numbered 4664 to match, metal disc on right side stamped 4664. Includes cleaning-rod, buttstock and handguard have some dings and handling-marks. PHOTO . . . $525.   C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 0197 (7.62x54R), mfg. by VKT (Valmet) in 1932 on a scrubbed hexagonal receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent mirror bright bore.  Bolt-body force-numbered 0197 (matching) and has the early "wings" in the connector.  Stock is nearly ding-free and very attractive. Includes cleaning rod and web sling with leather swivels.  Rare manufacturer for the M-27, and is essentially as nice as these come. PHOTOS . . . $1250.      C&R     SOLD

FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 87090 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka in 1940 on a scrubbed hexagonal receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and an excellent somewhat bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 7090 (matching).  Stock has a few minor dings from handling and storage (but no cracks) with a very attractively-figured handguard. Has ski-trooper sling swivel installed.  Scarce. PHOTOS . . . $800.      C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871 bolt-action single-shot Mauser infantry rifle # 5767 (11mm) mfg. by Amberg in 1883. Very Good or better condition, receiver "in the white" (as is proper, though a bit subdued it has not been polished bright recently).  All matching serial numbers, with a very strong and mirror-bright bore.  Lovely buttstock has original finish with a couple initials on the left side and clear cartouches. The triggerguard is made of brass, and it includes correct cleaning rod. Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $1075.     Antique, no FFL required    SOLD

GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 93755 (11mm) mfg. by Amberg in 1888 with 31 1/2" barrel.  An original Excellent-PLUS example, all-matching numbers, full strong bluing with receiver "in the white" and a perfect mirror-bright bore, only barrel-bands show any light wear.  Buttplate has no unit-marking. Buttstock has original finish with razor-sharp cartouches. Only a few dings or bumps in the wood and essentially AS ISSUED. Not import-marked. GERMAN Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1373dd (8x57mm), mfg. by DWM in 1916. A 105 year-old WWI rifle in Near Excellent condition with all matching serial numbers including bolt, bore is strong and very bright. Weimar markings clear, includes cleaning rod with functional rear sight. Stock has original finish with cartouches on right side quite clear, many contact marks and digs in the wood and a ˝ inch split at front of handguard. GERMAN Model Kar 98 bolt-action Mauser carbine # 8071r  (8x57mm) mfg. by Erfurt in 1917.  Very Good or better condition, most bluing remains. No matching numbers. Nice strong and somewhat bright bore.  Buttstock is original beech with an old arsenal repair on left side of handguard. Stock has faint cartouches and expected handling marks from actual use. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7467c (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde (code S/243) in 1937.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% rebluing and intact bold Nazi eagles on right side of receiver, Weimar eagles (with folded wings) on left side. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 7467 to match receiver, bore is strong and mirror bright. Very early solid walnut buttstock has quite a bit of tigerstripe figure with clear Army cartouches on right side and blued flat buttplate. Cleaning-rod is a reproduction with original locking-screws, with original German leather sling with keeper.  Very attractive. PHOTO . . . $850.   C&R     SOLD

GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 52882f (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf) in 1944 Good condition with little bluing on metal. Both barrel bands numbered 2882 (matching), no other parts match.  All Nazi markings crudely ground off.  Bore is strong and quite bright. Laminated buttstock and handguard with unblued cupped buttplate, no cleaning-rod but has locking screws.  PHOTO . . . $425.   C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6236k (8x57) mfg. by Bystrica (code dou) in 1944. Very Good condition with 60% bluing on barreled receiver, less on small parts. Both barrel bands and rear sight numbered 6236 (matching), bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 4088, no other parts match.  Bore is strong and mostly bright, bold eagle / swastika on left side of barrel. HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 908G (8x56R) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG) in 1915.  Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 98% or better bluing. All matching serial numbers except stock, bore is very bright and strong, BUDAPEST stamped atop receiver. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 2407e (7.62 NATO) mfg. by Sauer & Son (code ce) in 1941. Very Good condition with most bluing remaining, but metal has slight pitting at wood line. No matching serial numbers, bore is mostly bright and strong.  All Nazi markings crudely ground off, with small Israeli Star of David added. Later solid beech stock (installed by FN during rebarreling) has very few handling marks and no provision for cleaning rod. Has all milled parts, 7.62 deeply stamped at bottom of stock. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5441d (7.62 NATO) mfg. by Brno (code swp 45) in 1945. Excellent condition with basically full bluing, some fading on barrel bands & triggerguard.  No matching serial numbers, bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Includes original front sight hood, beech stock and handguard has many handling marks and is cracked at wrist behind the triggerguard (easily repairable), no provision for cleaning rod. Near Excellent condition with some bluing fading a bit.  Matching bolt (no other parts are numbered), bore is very strong and bright. Has bold IDF crest at top of receiver. Includes original front sight hood, solid walnut stock and handguard has a few handling marks and no provision for cleaning rod, much tigerstripe figure in the wood. 7.62 deeply stamped at bottom of stock. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action single-shot TRAINING rifle # 1086 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Fabrique National in the mid-1950's. Very Good or better condition with most blue remaining (magazine floorplate and triggerguard turning brown from use).  Bore is excellent, Bolt matches receiver (no other parts are numbered on these). Has bold IDF crest at top of receiver. Buttstock is solid walnut with many handling marks and scratches, number 0.22 stamped on right side. Includes front sight hood, no provision for cleaning rod. SOVIET Model SKS-45 semiautomatic rifle # EL6741 (7.62x39) mfg. at Tula in 1954. Excellent condition, does not appear to be a refurb with full remaining external blued finish. All matching serial numbers, chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Includes cleaning-rod, stock has a few dings and scuffs with bold cartouches on left side, but is otherwise sound.  A very early Century import. PHOTOS . . . $975.      C&R    SOLD

SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 638497 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1941. All-matching serial numbers including magazine. Excellent condition with 90% or better external bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin cavalry carbine # 915682 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1948. All-matching numbers including magazine. Near Excellent condition with 80% bluing remaining and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  VI 48 dated Beech stock and handguard has original finish with the usual scuffs and handling marks. TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 226 (8x57) rearsenaled by Ankara arsenal in 1938, a small-ring Mauser with bent bolt having bottom of bolt knob flattened and checkered. Excellent condition, with all bluing remaining on all external metal. Rear sight, triggerguard and bolt serial numbered 226 to match receiver (other numbered parts not matching). Bore is extremely bright and strong, completely functional, includes cleaning-rod.  Stock is walnut with sling-slot and very few of the expected handling marks.
