AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # B58354 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1942 with 9-44 dated barrel, a cadet rifle with yellow-painted barrel. Near Excellent condition with slightly rough but strong bore. All matching numbers, buttstock has clear 1942 and 6/46-dated MA cartouche on right side. AUSTRALIAN Martini Cadet single-shot rifle # 581653 (.22 LR) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in c.1910. Very Good condition with much original bluing and bold markings (including that of a Kangeroo above chamber). Stock has very little original finish, bore is very strong and mirror-bright. BRAZILIAN Model 1908 bolt-action infantry rifle # 478b (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1908. New, unissued, perfect condition with receiver "in the white" as is proper, all-matching numbers including bayonet, with original sling, cleaning-rod and brass muzzle-cover. 100% bluing on the parts that should be blued, with a perfect mirror bore. Stock has original finish and aside from some literally tiny bumps hardly worth mentioning there are no handling-marks. DWM monogram-cartouche in right side of stock a crisp as can be. No import-marks. Absolutely the finest example of its type I have ever seen and literally unimprovable! BRITISH Pattern 14 bolt-action rifle # 41732 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in 1915. Near Excellent condition, a nice example with a strong dark bore. Number stamped on bottom of bolt handle matches receiver. Has nice walnut stock that has original finish with very few handling-marks, front handguard is a beech replacement. PHOTOS . . . $375. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1* Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifle # 85C6769 (.303 British) mfg. in the U.S.A. by Savage-Stevens in 1944. Near Excellent, an all-original rifle with over 90% original parkerized finish, all-matching Savage-made parts, and a gorgeous mirror 2-groove bore. U.S. PROPERTY on left receiver-rail. Number 2-marked bolt-head, lovely birch stock and handguards with some dings and scratches from actual use (but still quite lovely). CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle # F1864 (7x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent condition, with 95% original deep bluing on all metal parts. Chilean crest above chamber is very strong and clear. All-matching numbers (except cleaning-rod). Bore is exceptional and mirror-bright. Lovely walnut stock having 1895-dated Chilean cartouche, some dings, compressions and handling-marks in the wood from contact with adjacent rifles but has not been sanded, includes original leather sling. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 11079 (7.62x54R), mfg.. by Tikka in 1928. Excellent-plus condition with 100% original bluing and near-perfect mirror-bore. FRENCH Model 1949/56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # G23584 (7.5x54) manufactured at St. Etienne in 1972. Excellent-PLUS condition, rifle has full gray parkerized finish and a near-perfect mirror-bright bore. Virtually no handling marks on the wood or metal. GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4327 (11mm) mfg. by Spandau in 1888 with 31 1/2" barrel. A choice Excellent-Plus example, all-matching numbers, full strong bluing with receiver "in the white" and a near-perfect mirror bore. Buttstock has original finish with razor-sharp cartouches (including Prussian stamps) and a faint "fiddleback" figure throughout the wood. Some dings and occasional bumps in the wood and a couple minor abrasions on barrel-bands but otherwise AS ISSUED. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 3500b (8x57mm) mfg. by Berliner-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik (factory code S/237) in 1937. A Russian-captured rifle in Excellent condition with full bluing, parts electropenciled to match receiver. All Nazi markings intact and very clear. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4235av (8x57) mfg. at Brno (code dot) in 1944. A non-import marked bringback in Excellent condition with full bluing and a mirror-bright bore. Has stamped small parts except for front band (which is solid milled). All Nazi markings intact, all parts matching except bolt (which is very close, being numbered 4835av). ITALIAN Model 1870/87/16 Vetterli-Vitali bolt-action infantry rifle # Y1091 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. by Torre Annunziata in 1876. Good condition, with most bluing on all metal parts. JAPANESE Model 99 Arisaka bolt-action long-rifle series 35, # 13561 (7.7x58) mfg. by Toyo Kogyo in 1939. Metal in excellent condition, with full original bluing and a gorgeous, mirror-bright chrome-lined bore, but all bolt-parts numbered 276, ground mum. JAPANESE Model 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 22, # 41676 (7.7x58) mfg. by Kokura Arsenal in c. 1942. Metal in excellent condition, with full original bluing and a gorgeous, mirror-bright chrome-lined bore, matching bolt but mismatched firing-pin, mum has not been ground but is defaced by several horizontal knife-cuts. Rear-sight lacks aircraft-wings, no cleaning-rod or monopod. Wood retains its original finish and has never been sanded, several dings from rough handling on wood. MEXICAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # D4135 (7x57) mfg. by Oviedo in 1925. Excellent condition, with full bluing on all parts. Very Good condition, much of the bluing turned to brown, metal on bottom painted with black lacquer. All-matching numbers with a dark but strong bore and completely functional. SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 289097 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1911 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle. Very Good PLUS condition, with 90% original bluing on all parts. Has a very bright and strong bore (bore-disc indicating 6.50/1), dial-type rear sight. All-matching numbers except front-band & buttplate (no number on cleaning rod or bolt release). SWEDISH Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 689935 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1943 with straight-bolt and non-threaded muzzle. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% original bluing on all parts. Has a very bright and strong bore (no bore-disc), dial-type rear sight (100-600 meters). All-matching numbers (smaller bolt-parts electropenciled rather than stamped) except cleaning-rod (as usual). TURKISH Model Gewehr 88/14 bolt-action Commission rifle # 7101a (8x57mm) mfg. by Amberg in 1892. Very Good condition, most external metal browned. No matching numbers, bolt has Turk markings (but rifle does not), S-marked bore, with cleaning-rod. Excellent strong and extremely shiny bore. Buttstock is original walnut with much evidence of actual use, both barrel-bands have crossed-out unit-marks. Retains barrel-jacket. Rifle is functional and I would not hesitate to shoot it. U.S.A. Model M1-D Garand semiautomatic SNIPER rifle # 2743910 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in March 1944. Unissued condition, an original DCM sniper rifle with SA 1-52 barrel (throat-erosion 2.0). Includes thin-bracket Hart cone flash-hider, leather cheek-pad (MRT / 10-52), WWII era M1 web-sling, scope-case and M10 cleaning-kit in butt-trap. Bedding of metal to wood is so good that it is difficult to remove the action. Walnut furniture is in perfect original condition with nary a dent or scratch. M84 scope # 8842 has small specks of something (perhaps paint chips) inside but otherwise has perfect optics. Excellent-PLUS (unissued) condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Sharp Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All-matching numbers, with stamped triggerguard and magazine-floorplate, knob of bolt has flattened bottom.
