AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # A34549 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1919 with 2nd Military District property-marks on left side of chamber.  Very Good condition, with strong and mostly bright bore. Nice early "Lithgow shield" emblem on receiver. All matching numbers, strong cartouches on right side of butt. Some handling-marks, scrapes and compressions on wood.  PHOTOS . . . $325.  C&R    SOLD

AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action infantry carbine # 9324H (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1915.  A rearsenaled shortened rifle in Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing with inscribed bolt. Bore is very bright and sharp, Streaked walnut buttstock with beech handguard has a few scratches and scuffs from handling but very attractive. Includes bayonet and scabbard. PHOTO . . . $150.   C&R    SOLD

CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # C4914 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 26 in 1960. Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with 100+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright near-perfect bore. All-matching numbers, wood has some minor contact-marks but nothing serious. Includes correct Chinese web sling with leather swivels.  Scarce this nice.  PHOTOS . . . $425.     not C&R   

CHINESE Model 56 Siminov SKS black-powder muzzleloading rifle # 97 00002 (.50 caliber) mfg. by Norinco in 1997, literally the SECOND of only TEN ever manufactured.  UNISSUED and literally unfired, with a wood and brass "ramrod" below barrel. Wood has a few nicks in the finish, but is otherwise as new, metal has 100% bluing. This is one of the rifles brought to the 1998 S.H.O.T. show in Las Vegas for display by Interstate Arms Corp, but further manufacture and marketing was abandoned after Chinese imports were banned. Nipple for primer-caps can be accessed by pulling back the bolt, hammer sets off the primer after bolt is closed, SKS safety also works as intended.  Cool as all get-out.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   no FFL required

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 48822 (7.62x54R) mfg. by VKT in 1942.  Near Excellent condition with 80% or better bluing on all metal parts and a strong and mostly bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Number on bolt-knob matching, numbers on magazine floorplate not matching, buttplate scrubbed (as usual). Includes cleaning-rod. Three-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has lots handling marks and a crack on left side near buttplate. PHOTOS . . . $275.      C&R  

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 225649 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1942.  Good or better condition with very little remaining bluing on exposed metal parts. Bore is strong and mostly bright (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, buttplate scrubbed (as usual). Includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece postwar stock (squared finger-joints) is quite nice with very few handling-marks. PHOTOS . . . $250.      C&R    

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 233659 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1943.  Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing on all metal parts and a near-perfect mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle).  Matching bolt-knob and magazine floorplate (both stamped 3659), buttplate scrubbed (as usual). Includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has a bold SAKO cartouche and a couple scuffs and scratches but virtually no wear. PHOTOS . . . $375.      C&R

GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 1293 (8x57) mfg. by Amberg in 1916. Very Good or better condition, with 80% bluing (some of it turning brown from oxidation). Bold markings on receiver, rear "lange" rear-sight, barrel-bands and triggerguard numbered 1293 to match, bolt is a CZ bolt with no number. Bore is strong and mostly bright. No cleaning-rod, buttstock and handguard are from an Argentine Mauser and seem to fit pretty well, however there is a crack on both sides of wrist that looks easily repairable. Not import-marked, looks to be perfect for a re-enactor.  PHOTO . . . $275.   C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4677 (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde (code S/243 G) in 1935.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% re bluing. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 4677 to match receiver. The bore is very strong and bright. Buttstock is laminated with cupped, blued buttplate having faint WaA656 cartouche on right side. Has reproduction cleaning-rod but no locking-screws. PHOTO . . . $425.   C&R 

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6464b (8x57) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 41) in 1941.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% re bluing. Has all-milled parts (solid front band) electro-penciled 6464 to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Buttstock is solid walnut with cupped, blued buttplate. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action 8mm rifle # 2324 with SINGLE RUNE atop chamber manufactured at the MAUTHAUSEN CONCENTRATION CAMP under the supervision of Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 43) in 1943 especially for the dreaded Nazi SS. Russian-captured and reworked from randomly assembled parts with 100% hot-dip bluing, all milled parts electro-penciled 2324 to match receiver, buttstock has been sanded and shellacked by the Russians as usual and shows some of the usual handling-marks with cupped buttplate. Bore is mirror-bright and strong, totally functional. All Nazi markings clear and not pinged. Extremely rare! Authenticity of SS markings ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED! GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 40739f  (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf 44) in 1944.  A reworked (by whom I have no idea) rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% re bluing. Has stamped barrel-bands (each stamped 5621), with a WaA135-marked stamped triggerguard and a 3997-numbered milled magazine-floorplate. Nazi eagles lightly "pinged" but still very visible. Bolt is from a Spanish 1943 Mauser with straight handle numbered Z-9233. The bore is very strong and bright. Buttstock is laminated (red phenolic resin) with cupped buttplate and nearly flawless. No cleaning-rod but has locking-screws. Very attractive, not import-marked.  PHOTO . . . $325.     C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6154d (8x57) mfg. by Bystrica (code dou 45) in 1945.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% re bluing. Has milled barrel-bands, triggerguard and magazine-floorplate is stamped, all electro-penciled 6154 to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry Carbine # SQ7854 (6.5x52) mfg. by Gardone in 1940. Very Good condition, with 70% bluing, bore a bit rough but strong. Wood has some dings and handling-marks, complete with spike-bayonet (a bit loose when folded). PHOTO . . . $325.   C&R  

POLISH Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # BR11366 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Radom in 1954. Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with 100+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright perfect bore. All-matching numbers, wood nearly mar-free, includes correct sling. RUSSIAN Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # BZ1139 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1947. Excellent-PLUS condition with 100% or better bluing on all metal parts and a gorgeous mirror-bright bore. A Yugoslavian rework with 1.TRZ stamped on right side of stock, all matching Russian serial numbers (number on buttplate lined-out and stamped to match, as usual for Yugo reworks).  Includes cleaning-rod, gorgeous mirror-bright bore. SPANISH Model FR-8 Mauser bolt-action tactical carbine # FR8-03914 (7.62x51) mfg. by La Coruņa in 1948. Excellent condition, with 95% Parkerized metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Matching bolt, crest atop receiver a bit weak. Wood has original finish with many minor handling-marks, a 1" x 1" Dutch-type arsenal repair at tang. PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R     SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 172618 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1905 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% original bluing on all parts (magazine floorplate and triggerguard a bit faded from carry). Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/2).  All-matching numbers except magazine floorplate (311) and cleaning rod (unnumbered). Streaked Walnut stock has the expected dings and handling-marks from actual use PHOTOS . . . $340.   C&R

SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 647598 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna  in 1942 with bent bolt and threaded muzzle, includes metal removable flash-hider. Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts (some wear on triggerguard from carry). Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.53/2).  All-matching numbers (firing-pin and bolt-shroud not numbered). Rear sight is calibrated for 100-600 meters. Beech stock & handguard has been lightly sanded, with very few handling-marks since. PHOTOS . . . $450.   C&R 

SWISS Model 1911 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull carbine # 130832 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1925. All-matching numbers except magazine (431561).  Near Excellent condition with most original bluing and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  Walnut stock and handguard has original finish with a few handling-marks from actual use.
