ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # N7255 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1912.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing on most parts (triggerguard, magazine floorplate and barrel-bands browned from carry and actual use), receiver in the white (as is proper). Argentine crest above chamber very bold. All-matching numbers except for cleaning-rod (# N7248). Has mostly bright and strong bore. Dark walnut stock has some handling-marks and dings from actual use, small hairline crack at rear of handguard. PHOTOS . . . $425.   C&R  

ARGENTINE Model 1909/47 Mauser bolt-action cavalry carbine # 011813 (7.65x53) mfg. by F.M.A.P. (Rosario) in 1951.  An Argentine arsenal-rework in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing and black enamel on most parts. Crest above chamber very bold with EJERCITO ARGENTINO below. All-matching numbers, excellent mirror-bright bore. Dark local-wood stock has very few handling-marks (mostly compressions), handguard cracked. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $525.   C&R  

AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action infantry long rifle # 2897T (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917.  A long rifle in Very Good original condition with 70% or better bluing with mostly matching parts that headspace correctly (bolt-head stamped 1303). Bore is sharp and quite bright, wood has a few dings, scratches and other handling-marks but is sound and quite attractive. PHOTO . . . $375.     C&R    SOLD

BELGIAN Model 24/50 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 21172 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1952.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% or better original blued finish.  Bore virtually mirror-perfect, Crowned-B (for King Baudouin) with ABL and date 1952 atop receiver. All matching numbers, includes cleaning-rod and original leather sling. Walnut stock has original finish and only a few minor dings and handling-marks. BRAZILIAN Model 08/34 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 20817 (.30-06) mfg. by Itajuba in c.1950.  Very Good overall condition with 80% bluing (many parts browned from actual use). Bolt looks force-matched (but is matching), bore is mirror-bright with strong rifling. Very bold and detailed Brazilian crest above chamber. Walnut buttstock and handguard with many small dings and handling-marks (but nothing major), includes cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . $425.   C&R  

CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle # G9921 (rechambered by the Chilean military to 7.62 NATO) mfg. by Loewe in 1896.  Near Excellent condition, with 85-90% original bluing on all metal parts.   Chilean crest above chamber is strong and clear, 7.62 N atop back of receiver.  Matching bolt, remaining serial numbers mixed. Bore is a bit dark but strong rifling. Walnut stock has been lightly sanded long ago, 1895-dated cartouche visible, quite a few of the expected handling-marks, scuffs and scratches, includes very worn but sound sling. EGYPTIAN  Model 1879 Rolling Block single-shot rifle # 2598 (11mm) mfg. by Remington in c.1885.  Good or better condition, no external finish (these were finished "in the white" anyway).  Completely functional, with a strong mirror-bright bore. FRENCH Model 1866 Chassepot bolt-action needlefire rifle # N99071 (11mm linen cartridge) mfg. by St. Etienne in 1872.  Fair condition, most external metal heavily pitted.  Bolt retains its needlefire design and is fully functional (though bolt is missing its needle and rubber grommet). All serial numbers matching (including bolt and stock), bore has some dark areas but looks serviceable, sling-swivels frozen from rust. PHOTOS . . . $275.   Antique, no FFL required   SOLD

FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # L43169 (7.5x54mm) mfg. by St. Ettienne around 1950. Excellent-PLUS, arsenal refurbished condition with near 100% Parkerized finish on all metal and a nice wood stock and handguard. Mirror-bright bore, matching bolt, no other parts matching. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 4996  (8mm), mfg. by Bystrica (factory code dou 45) in 1945.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing, all parts electropenciled with number of receiver.  Has an attractive laminated stock with cupped buttplate and all milled small parts, weak Army cartouche still visible. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, intact swastika proof on left side of barrel-shank. Includes repro cleaning-rod but no locking-screws.  PHOTOS . . . $395.   C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 4048c  (8mm), mfg. by Bystrica (factory code dou 45) in 1945.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing, all parts electropenciled with number of receiver.  Has an attractive laminated stock with cupped buttplate and all milled small parts (solid front band). Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, intact swastika proof on left side of barrel-shank. Has semi-Kriegsmodell buttstock, nags held on with screws and no provision for bayonet or cleaning-rod. ITALIAN Model 91 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry Carbine # D2021 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in late 1936 (the XIV year of Mussolini). Excellent condition, with 90+% bluing and adjustable rear sight, has dark but strong bore. Includes folding spike-bayonet and two of the three sections of cleaning-rod in butt-trap. Wood is totally matching with original finish (very sharp 1936-dated Terni cartouche) with some of the expected dings and scuffs. PHOTO . . $325.   C&R   

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # O9552 (7.35x53) mfg. by Terni in late 1939 (the XVII year of Mussolini). Near Excellent condition, bluing nearly intact. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 28, # 94475 (6.5x50) mfg. by Nagoya Arsenal in c. 1938. Metal in Near Excellent condition, with mostly full original bluing and a strong and mostly bright bore. Mum has been ground (as usual). POLISH Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # KB09891 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Radom in 1952. Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with 100% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright perfect bore. All-matching numbers, wood nearly mar-free, includes correct new sling. PORTUGUESE  Model 904/39  Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # J4533 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904.   Near Excellent condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber.  Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore, includes cleaning-rod.  Walnut stock has some subtle tigerstripe figure and appears to have been recently sanded. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.  PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R

SPANISH Model FR-8 Mauser bolt-action tactical carbine # FR8-34816 (7.62x51) mfg. by La Coruņa in 1950. Excellent condition, with 95% Parkerized metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Matching bolt, crest atop receiver as strong as these get. Wood has original finish with very few handling-marks since with nice figure to the grain. PHOTOS . . . $425.   C&R   SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 269314 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1910 with straight-bolt and unthreaded muzzle.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% original bluing on all parts (magazine floorplate and triggerguard faded from carry). Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.502/2).  All-matching numbers except magazine-floorplate (731) and cleaning rod (unnumbered), bolt and all bolt-parts officially restamped to match serial number. SWISS Model 1869/71 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 139948 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in c.1874. Near Excellent condition, all-matching numbers (and every part is numbered). All original blued finish, nearly as nice as these ever get. Bore has a few dark areas but is otherwise very strong and bright with very strong rifling. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having only a few minor handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod, with spare firing-pin in space behind buttplate. U.S.A. Model of 1903-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3888930 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in August 1943.  Excellent condition with all R-marked parts and 95% Gray Parkerizing on all metal parts. A choice example with near-perfect 2-groove bore and lovely walnut stock having very few minor dings, DAS cartouche with FJA initials, OG (for Ogden Arsenal) also stamped on left side of stock. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 3805070 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in May 1945.  Near Excellent condition, with nearly-full uniform dark-gray Parkerizing and a gorgeous mirror-bore.  A very attractive example with all correct parts (including lock-bar rear sight, cut in op-rod), buttstock has clear SA / NFR cartouche and very few handling-marks.
