    IRISH Lee Enfield Mk.I bolt-action "Royal Irish Constabulary" carbine # 2723 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1896. Very Good or better condition with 70% blued finish remaining. A very attractive example, with matching serial numbered bolt with flattened handle.  Bore is very bright and strong, has short (6 round) magazine and magazine cut-off is present.  Stock is sound but has a few hairline cracks on left side as well as many handling marks.  1902-dated BIRMINGHAM cartouche and brass disk stamped 3.04 / R.I.C. / 1432 on right side. Excellent condition with full dark Parkerized finish on all metal, bore is quite nice (TE = 2.0, MW = 1.0).  This rifle was built up as a match shooter, with NM .062 front sight and NM-marked rear sight.  The left side of the receiver has also been drilled & tapped for a M1-C type scope mount (not present).  The receiver fork has been electorpenciled by Anniston Arsenal and dated 9-66.
