ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifles # P0436 & P0437 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1912.  Excellent-PLUS condition, literally UNISSUED with 99% strong bluing, receiver "in the white" as is proper. All-matching numbers (including cleaning-rods), bores show no wear or evidence of ever having been fired. Wood has very striking figure (one tiger-striped, the other vividly streaked) with some very minor handling marks and compressions but is otherwise new. Includes non-numbered muzzle-caps. BRITISH Pattern 14 bolt-action rifle # 354708 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in 1916.  Very Good condition, a nice example with much Parkerizing intact and has a very bright and strong bore. CHILEAN Model 1912 Mauser bolt-action rifle # B452 (7x57) mfg. by Steyr in 1912.  Excellent-PLUS condition, literally UNISSUED with 99% strong bluing, receiver "in the white" as is proper, bold Chilean crest above chamber. All-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bores show no wear or evidence of ever having been fired. EGYPTIAN  "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 44683 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1965.  Excellent condition, 85+% original bluing with a strong and bright bore. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 79040 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1896 with Finnish [SA] property-marks on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 95+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle), Czarist eagles intact on both barrel-shank and top flat of receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition with 95+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright very strong bore (counterbored at muzzle), OEWG (Austrian capture mark from WWI) stamped on top flat of receiver. Matching bolt-body, numbers on magazine-floorplate and buttplate not matching or scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod and Finn bolt-type sling-swivels. GERMAN Model Kar. 98AZ bolt-action carbine # 5340r (8x57) mfg. by Erfurt in 1917 and also double-dated 1920 for the Reichswehr after the capitulation of Germany in WWI.  Good overall condition, an original rifle with forward-leaning stacking-swivel  and little original bluing, with all-matching numbers except for bolt.  This is a small-ring Mauser carbine with proper bent bolt having the bottom of the knob flattened and checkered.  Bore is a bit dark with worn rifling but usable. Wood has some handling-marks and a couple scrapes, E 20 stamped on left side. Top of buttplate unit-marked P.W. / 944Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $450.   C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 7198 (8mm) having DEATH-HEAD marking (SS2 above) on left barrel-shank, originally a Gewehr 98 rifle manufactured at SIMSON & Co., Suhl in the mid 1920's (makers markings scrubbed, as is usual with these), commercial proofs on left side of receiver.  A Russian-capture in Near Excellent condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, stock stamped 7198 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, receiver and barrel-shank has some very light porosity.  Bottom of barrel stamped with commercial proofs and 11 42 (date of rework) over upside-down heart. Stock is solid walnut with many handling-marks. Import-marked TG KNOX TN 98K 8MM GERMANY on bottom of barrel. Authenticity of SS markings guaranteed. PHOTOS . . . $950.   C&R 

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 5030g (8mm), having SSZZA4 marking on both sides of barrel-shank. Originally a Gewehr 98 rifle manufactured at Mauser in 1915, reconfigured to 98k configuration but retaining its straight bolt. A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 5030 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, all-milled parts utilized in the refurbishment, with flat buttplate. Import-marked TG KNOX TN 98K 8MM GERMANY on bottom of barrel. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 2 (that's right, serial number TWO with no letter suffix), 8mm, mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde (factory code 243) in 1939.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in excellent condition, with 100% bluing, all parts electropenciled with 2 and has an attractive laminated stock with faint Army cartouches. Bore is excellent and bright, three eagle/swastikas on right side of receiver, Weimar proofs on left side. No cleaning-rod or locking-screws.  PHOTOS . . . $550.   C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 30385a (8mm), mfg. by Mauser (factory code byf) in 1943.  An non-reworked 98k in Very Good condition, with 50% bluing, no matching numbers, all-milled parts with cupped buttplate. Nice-looking laminated stock with thin hairline cracks at tang. Bore is a bit rough and dark, but should shoot okay. Intact Nazi swastikas on left side of barrel-shank and receiver. No cleaning-rod. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 2239 (8mm) mfg. by Sauer & Son (WaA37) in 1944.  This is a rare COMMERCIAL rifle marked A. Seeber with commercial Suhl-proofs dated 11 44 on left side of barrel-shank. A rearsenaled Russian-capture in excellent condition, with 100% bluing, electropenciled parts and an attractive laminated stock with flat buttplate and very few handling-marks. Bore is excellent and bright, no sign of any receiver-markings, barrel dated 44 with WaA37 below the wood-line. Import-marked TG KNOX TN 98K 8MM GERMANY on bottom of barrel. This is the very first commercially-proofed 98k of its kind we have ever encountered.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   C&R  

NORWEGIAN Model 98k rifle re-barrelled to .30-06 by the Norwegian Army after WWII # 62149.  Excellent condition, made by Mauser (code S/42) in 1937 with all original markings intact and very strong.  Original serial number (1847i) lined-out by the Norwegians, with their new serial # (as well as the word HAER, Norwegian for Army) added to a flat ground into the left side of the receiver.  The entire rifle except for the bolt matches the original serial number (even the action-screws, which are also have their own WaffenAmpts), the bolt body re-numbered to match the Norwegian number.  Nicely figured hardwood stock (matching) with a bold LUFTWAFFE cartouche on right side. Bluing is easily 99+%, the barrel mint, proper cleaning-rod present, slight pitting at very top of receiver.  A truly beautiful specimen, one of  the finest I have ever seen.  PHOTO  . . . . $675.  C&R   SOLD

SERBIAN Model 1924 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 256859 (8x57) mfg. by Kragujevac in the mid-1920's.  Excellent rearsenaled condition, with full Parkerized metal. Bolt mismatched but remainder of parts matching. Bore is strong and somewhat bright, stock and handguard look new with deep figure, handguard has some tiger-striping going on. No cleaning-rod. SPANISH Model 1921 Destroyer bolt-action carbine # 25147 (9x23 Largo) mfg. by Ayra Duria in 1955. Excellent condition with 90% bluing and a sharp mirror-bore and matching bolt. SWEDISH Model 94/14 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 20660 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1903 with bent-bolt.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore.  All-matching numbers. Lovely Walnut stock & handguard retains its original finish, with only a few very minor handling-marks and nicks, plain silver disk inlet on right side, with range-chart tacked next to it. Has muzzle-extension. Includes correct sling and bayonet with scabbard in excellent condition. Not import-marked, a most attractive rig worthy of the finest collection. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6566 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1899 with straight-bolt.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/1).  All-matching numbers except bolt-shroud (692), no number on cleaning-rod. Beech stock with Walnut handguard seems to have its original finish, with only a few compressions and nicks from contact with other rifles. PHOTOS . . . $380.   C&R   SOLD

SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 679974 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent-bolt and threaded muzzle.  Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-bright very strong bore (bore-disk indicating 6.49/0).  Rear sight has 100 meter zero. All-matching numbers.  Beech stock & handguard seems to have its original; finish, with only a few handling-marks and scuffs. U.S.A. Model of 1917 bolt-action infantry rifle # 121343 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in 1917. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better Parkerized finish on metal and a somewhat bright bore. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2671778 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in March, 1944.  Very Good condition with much uniform light-gray Parkerizing on metal and having a gorgeous mirror-bore (replacement SA 5-50 barrel with white chamber). VENEZUELAN Model 24/30 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 33717 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique National in the mid-1930's.  Excellent PLUS literally UNISSUED condition, with 99+% original factory bluing, receiver in the white (as is proper) with bold crest above chamber.  Bore mirror-perfect, all-matching numbers with cleaning-rod.  Has milled magazine-follower and flat milled buttplate.  Wood is pretty walnut with very few very minor handling-marks.
