Excellent condition, with 92% bluing (only slight pitted spots at sharpest edges and at muzzle) and near-perfect mirror bore. CHILEAN NAVY Model 1921 (400) semiautomatic pistol #36858 (9mm Largo) mfg. by Astra in 1927. All-matching numbers, Very Good condition with 80% thinning bluing, some holster-wear at corners and edges and at grip. All-markings are clear, with MARINA DE CHILE on slide. CZECH Model CZ-27 semiautomatic pistol #456775 (.32 ACP) mfg. by Bohemian War Factory, Prague in early 1945 immediately before cessation of hostilities. Excellent condition with 99% military-blue finish, the slide retaining the Nazi fnh-code with Nazi markings. All-matching numbers, black bakelite grips are a tiny bit chipped at front edges and lack a manufacturers marking. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $325. C&R
EGYPTIAN Model 52 semiautomatic pistol #77691 (9mm) mfg. by Helwan in c.1956. A licensed copy of the Beretta 951, marked in English on the left side of the slide and Arabic on the right. Near Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing (some spotting on right side from being "holstered wet"), a perfect mirror-bore, and including one eight-round magazine. FRENCH Model 1935A semiautomatic pistol (7.65 French Longue) #K7179A mfg. in the late 1940's by Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mecaniques. GERMAN Model 1910 semiautomatic pistol #230479 (6.35mm, .25 ACP) mfg. by Mauser at Oberndorf c. 1926. All-matching numbers (and every tiny little piece is numbered), Excellent PLUS condition with a gorgeous mirror-bore, much fire-bluing on trigger and other parts, almost looks as-new. In fitted wooden presentation-case embellished with brass medallion GOTT MIT UNS ("God is with us") on the exterior and Nazi eagle/swastika decal on inside cover (all of which appears to be of the period and not a repro). GERMAN Model 1914 "artillery" semiautomatic Luger pistol #9221d (9mm Parabellum) mfg. by DWM in 1917. Original "bringback" condition, has not been reblued or import-marked. All markings very clear and bold, but is actually a composite of two different pistols, the slide and its components #2476h has all-matching numbers, the lower frame is #9221d also is all-matching. Good to Very Good condition with 80% original bluing turning to plum with some light mostly-external pitting from poor attic-storage. Bore has much rifling, piece is functional though correct wood-bottomed magazine does not hold back toggle on last round. Looks like it has "been there and done that" but is what it is. GERMAN Model 37M Femaru semiautomatic pistol #64942 (.32 ACP), mfg. by Budapest arsenal (code jhv) in 1943. Excellent-PLUS condition, with virtually NO WEAR at all and 100% original bluing throughout. All-matching numbers (including finger-grip magazine). Bore is near-perfect and mirror-bright. GERMAN Model P-38 semiautomatic pistol #3442 (9mm Parabellum) mfg. by Walther (ac-45 one-line code) in early 1945. Original "bringback" condition, has not been reblued or import-marked. Excellent overall condition with 90% original bluing intact, minor wear to sharp corners, some spotting from being "holstered wet", somewhat eroded but strong bore. All markings very clear and bold. ITALIAN Model 1915 semiautomatic pistol #18886 (.32 ACP) mfg. by Beretta in 1915. Beretta's very first pistol, this was one of less than 25,000 manufactured for the office of "Public Security" during WWI. Original "bringback" condition, has not been reblued or import-marked. Very Good overall condition with most bluing intact, that of the left side a bit worn and marred by light pitting from being "holstered wet", initials L.S. crudely scratched on left side of slide as well as on left side of magazine (likely from soldier who brought it home from "over there". Bore pitted as expected but rifling still strong and will likely be a decent shooter and appears completely functional. All markings very clear and bold. AUSTRALIAN No.2 Mk.IV* bolt-action single-shot rifle # D61572 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1942 as a No.1 Mk.III (in .303) and converted to its current configuration in April, 1949. Excellent condition with strong, bright bore. All-matching numbers, empty magazine stamped 22 on its bottom.. CHINESE Model 1888 Commission bolt-action rifle #4P7584 (8x57mm) mfg. by Hangyang Arsenal in August, 1939 (dated Chinese year 28-8). Good condition with much of the external metal turned to brown, bolt not matching, bore rough. Some cracks in handguard and (to a much lesser extent) buttstock, appears to be original finish on wood with cartouche on right side. No provision for cleaning-rod, not import-marked. FRENCH Model 1949/56 MAS semiautomatic rifle #G573 (7.5x54) manufactured at St. Etienne in 1981. Excellent, 95+% dark parkerized finish, all matching numbers and an excellent bright bore. Very few handling marks on the wood or metal, includes one 10-round magazine and rubber #2 buttplate. GERMAN Model Gewher 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle #62223 (11mm) mfg. by Amberg in 1887 with 31 1/2" barrel. A real "attic-relic" in Fair condition with much of the external metal rusted. Would be all-matching except bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 22407. Bore is rough after cursory cleaning but would likely "shoot clean" and appears functional. Intact and functional except for one buttplate-screw and fastener for front-band. Wood is of vivid tiger-striped walnut and has large 19 TKP stamped on right side. Not import-marked. ITALIAN Model 1870/87 Vetterli-Vitali bolt-action infantry rifle #KI2238 (10.4mm Italian centerfire) mfg. by Terni in 1885. Very Good "attic relic" condition, with the barrel having 80% bluing and the receiver (which was originally finished "in the white") is a mottled color (mostly browned). All-matching numbers, bore is actually quite nice, strong and bright with some dark areas. Wood is tiger-striped walnut, looks to have been sanded long ago with few handling-marks since. Has side bayonet-mount, with what appears to be the original cleaning-rod. Attached (sewn and by rivets, not easily removable) is an OD web-sling marked T.E.Co. 1943. No import marks. ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry carbine with attached folding-bayonet #G9409 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1936 (year XIV of Mussolini) with accuracy-marked barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 90+% full bluing and an excellent, mirror-bright bore. Bent-bolt is not numbered (as usual), stock number matches barrel. ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Truppi Speciale carbine #AZ9666 (6.5x52), second type with modified front-band, mfg. by Brescia in 1918. Excellent-PLUS with nearly 100% full bluing throughout and an excellent, mirror-bright bore. Bent-bolt not numbered (as usual) with nearly full case-coloring on bolt, stock number matches receiver. ITALIAN Model 91/28 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Truppi Speciale carbine #B9772 (6.5x52), mfg. by Terni in 1929. Excellent-PLUS with nearly 100% full bluing throughout and an excellent, mirror-bright bore. Bent-bolt not numbered (as usual) with nearly full case-coloring on bolt, stock an apparent Gardone, 1938 replacement (stamped FAG 38) with number matching receiver. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle #QA3839 (7.35x53) mfg. by Gardone in 1939. Excellent condition with 90% full bluing and an excellent, mirror-bright bore. Bent bolt is unnumbered (as usual), stock matches receiver with large CAL 7.35 and FAG 39 cartouches. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle, Series 2, #35641 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in late 1939. Excellent condition with nearly all original bluing, some light external scale-type rust from storage. All-matching numbers (#654 on all bolt-parts and bayonet-lug, so likely that is an assembly #), intact mum and original monopod. This type has aircraft-wings on rear sight, action-cover missing, cleaning-rod intact. Excellent chrome-lined bore, wood retains original finish with the expected dings and contact-marks. SWISS Model 1881 Vetterli bolt-action rifle #217810 (.41 Swiss Rimfire), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in c.1882. TURKISH Model 1872 Peabody-Martini single-shot carbine (29" barrel) #332457 (7.65x53), mfg. by Providence Tool Co., Providence, R.I. in c.1885. An emergency reissue for WWI, converted from .450 Turkish. Very Good relic condition, with most external bluing turned to "plum" from attic-storage with some external patches of scaly rust, bore quite bright with some rough-spots. Has tangent rear-sight marked in Arabic 400-2000 meters in 100-meter increments, 132449 marked in Arabic numerals on back of receiver and on rear-sight. Walnut buttstock a bit eroded with somewhat newer-appearing forend and handguard with few handling-marks but has likely been sanded once upon a time. Appears functional, markings on both sides of receiver weak but legible. triggerguard flattened from apparently being dropped, extractor missing or inoperable, screw for front-band missing as is cleaning-rod, includes old-looking hemp rope-sling. Model 1867 Peabody single-shot side-hammer carbine (26 1/2" barrel) with no apparent serial-number (.45-70, I think. . . it fits anyway), mfg. by Providence Tool Co., Providence, R.I. in c.1870. Very Good relic condition, with most external bluing turned to "plum" from attic-storage with some external patches of scaly rust, bore quite bright with some rough-spots. Nice sound walnut buttstock and forend, with few handling-marks but has likely been sanded, 1/4" plug out of right side of buttstock. U.S.A. Model 97 pump-action 12-guage TRENCH GUN replica mfg. by Norinco mfg. in 2002. An exact replica of the Winchester trench gun that the U.S. so successfully used during World War I, with external hammer and allows trigger to be held back and slam-fired. Nicely fit and finished, with barrel-shroud and bayonet-lug, receiver is even stamped as the originals were with U.S. and flaming-bomb marks. New, unissued "in the box" condition, we have heard many positive reports of these (if it was junk we would not sell them). . . $375. not C&R
