DUTCH Model 1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali rifle # 638G (11x52R) mfg. by J. F. J. Bar, Delft in 1883. Very Good condition, with an excellent, very bright strong rifled bore. External metal was "in the white" and some of it has turned brown but shows little actual wear, Wood retains original finish with awesome cartouche of crowned W (for King William III, reigned 1849-1890) flanked by flowers, DELFT above and date 1884 at sides. All-matching serial numbers (638).  Mechanically sound (non-functioning magazine-disconnect), includes non-standard cleaning-rod. Stock is sound,  I would not hesitate to shoot it this rifle if I had any ammo at all (.43 Egyptian ammo can be safely used if no Beaumont ammo can be found). EGYPTIAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # D10980 (8x57), mfg. in the mid-1950's by Fabrique National in Belgium. Excellent-PLUS condition with bold "Eagle of Saladin" crest above chamber and full painted finish,  Excellent very bright bore, replacement Italian wood stock looks new, has black plastic buttplate. Rear sight has Arabic numerals. 100% functional, see "The FN49" by Wayne Johnson, pages 81-82 (relatively rare).  PHOTOS . . . . $1750.     C&R     SOLD

FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 47133 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1936 on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% or better bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Bolt knob numbered 47133 (matching), S109 on right side of barrel-shank (Helsinki Civil Guard district).  Stock has only a few minor compressions and nicks.  Very scarce. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 231676 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1943.  Near Excellent condition, metal has full bluing and an excellent bright bore, Would grade better but wartime stock has quite a few handling marks.  Bolt-knob numbered 1676 to match. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 253243 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1944.  Excellent-PLUS condition, all metal has full bluing and barrel has an excellent bright bore,  Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate numbered 3243 to match.  Lovely wartime buttstock (rounded finger joints) has bold SAKO and wagon-wheel ordnance cartouches on right side. FRENCH Model 1866 Chassepot bolt-action single-shot rifle # O10867 (11x60mm Mauser) mfg. by St. Ettienne in 1872 and converted from needle-fire to metallic cartridge by Kynoch Gun Factory - Aston in c.1885-1890.    Excellent condition, with 98+% original bluing and a mirror-perfect bore.  All matching serial numbered parts, includes numbered cleaning rod. Left side of receiver stamped KYNOCH'S - PATENT, right side of barrel stamped MUSKET - 43 - 77 - 380 (indicating .43 caliber bore, 77 grains of black powder, and 380 grain bullet).   From the collection of Jordan Coller (1841-1916)  a celebrated Civil War veteran who donated a large exhibit of his artifacts to the Stephens Museum at the Central Methodist University during  the beginning of the 20th Century.  The stock of this rifle is excellent with a few light handling marks, and has his name JORDAN COLLER stamped in many places to identify it as having come from his collection.  Not import-marked, completely functional and quite unusual (especially is such fine preservation).   PHOTOS . . . $1450.*     Antique, no FFL required     SOLD

GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 2237 (11mm) mfg. by Spandau in 1887 with 31 1/2" barrel.   An UNISSUED example in Excellent-PLUS condition with all-matching serial numbers and a mirror-perfect bore. Has full bluing with receiver "in the white".  Only a few scuffs in the wood, with very deeply stamped cartouches. Unit marked K.A.R. / E.1.148 stamped atop buttplate, but rifle was obviously not ever put into use.   Not import marked, completely functional and basically UNIMPROUVABLE!  PHOTOS . . . $1650.*      Antique, no FFL required  

GERMAN Model Kar. 88 bolt-action Commission cavalry carbine # 8682 (8x57i) mfg. by Erfurt in 1890. Very Good PLUS condition, with 80% thinning and browning bluing (receiver in the white, as is proper). All matching serial numbers, unit marks B.1.U.R.4.58.on left side of nose-cap, crossed-through unit marks on right side of barrel band. Excellent mirror-bright bore (stamped with S).  Buttstock has tiger-striped figure in the grain and is quite attractive. Not import-marked. PHOTO . . . $1150.    Antique, no FFL needed     SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8785i (8x57mm) mfg. by Sauer & Son (code ce 41) in 1941.  A Near Excellent rifle with a bright bore and very strong rifling.  No matching  numbered parts, the triggerguard and magazine floorplate is made of later stamped parts.  Intact but small Nazi eagles with swastikas intact on barrel and receiver, solid buttstock has Luftwaffe cartouche. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6190aq (8x57mm) mfg. by Brno (code dot) in 1944.  At first glance a nearly as-new all-matching 98k with full bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  At least that is what it was represented as in a recent Ohio auction ("book $2800").  In actuality this is a poorly done re-numbered and "humped" 98k with the Nazi eagles having the swastikas defaced with a punch. The beech stock has grasping grooves on the forend and no provision for cleaning rod. It is in excellent condition and functional; except for the safety (with will not engage without some adjustment or outright replacement). This should not have "fooled" anyone (but it obviously did).  Not import marked.  PHOTO . . . $950.   C&R   

ITALIAN Model 1870/87 Vetterli-Viotali four-shot bolt-action infantry rifle # WX9040 (10.4mm Centerfire) mfg. by Torre Annunziata in 1882.  Excellent condition, with full strong bluing on external metal (receiver in the white, as is proper). Bore is mirror bright and strong, and the rifle is 100% functional. Buttstock has very few of the usual handling marks from actual use and has a large oval 1882-dated cartouche on right side,  Quite attractive, not import-marked.  PHOTO . . . $875.*      Antique, no FFL required      SOLD

ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action infantry rifle # QM8958 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1917.  Excellent condition with 95% or so bluing, bore is mostly bright and strong. Has un-numbered straight bolt.  Stock has no markings with a gouge the right side, else sound with no cracks. Includes cleaning rod. Not import-marked, includes one six-round en-block clip. ITALIAN Model 91/24 Mannlicher-Carcano Truppi-Speciale bolt-action carbine # BG1318 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. as a long-rifle by Terni in 1918 and reconfigured into a carbine at Terni in 1925.   Very Good condition with 80% bluing (mostly turning brown from age) and bold markings, magazine has blotchy appearance. Shiny and very strong bore, buttstock numbers do not match (common for reconfigured carbines) with glossy finish. Missing front band, handguard and cleaning-rod,  Not import marked. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action cavalry carbine with folding bayonet # XG7305 (6.5x52) mfg. by F.N.A. Brescia in 1940 (year 18 of Mussolini). Excellent condition, with full bluing on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Left side of barrel has crossed rifles accuracy marking. Matching walnut stock has bold circular F.N.A. cartouche and XG7305 on left side. Bent-bolt is unnumbered, stock and handguard has the usual handling marks and scratches from actual service use. ITALIAN Model 41 Mannlicher-Carcano infantry rifle # AV2855 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1943. Excellent condition, with all external bluing intact and unnumbered straight bolt.  Bore is bright with very strong rifling. ITALIAN Model BM59 semiautomatic rifle # 2243654 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Beretta in the early 1960's as a selective fire weapon based on the M1 Garand, and rebuilt by James River Arsenal on a late 1944 M1 Garand semiautomatic receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% or better original Parkerized finish and mirror-perfect bore. POLISH Model wz29 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 75262 (8x57mm), undated, mfg. by Warsaw between the wars with straight-bolt, arsenal-refurbished by Spain during their civil war in the mid-1930's.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all parts. Bolt numbered 75262 (matching), bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Rifle has no markings other than circled-Z proofs on bolt-knob and right side of receiver, includes cleaning-rod. Bolt root numbered 5740o (matching), bore is mirror-bright and very strong.  Rifle has no markings other than circled-Z proofs on right side of receiver, includes cleaning-rod. UKRANIAN Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # KEE6932 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1942.  Excellent-PLUS refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts stamped numbered  KЯ8682  (matching, with letter prefixes), has bent bolt handle. PU scope numbered 235167 with clear optics and leather lens-caps. Stock and handguard has very few of the usual scuffs in the shellac finish from use and storage and is in quite nice shape.   PHOTOS . . . $1875.*     C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 806604 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1918 (high-umber) with original SA 4-18 barrel and all original parts.  Near Excellent or better condition with most original bluing a bit faded but intact. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright (TE = 2.0, MW = 1.0).  Stock is grooved M1903 type and shows some minor dents and dings from actual service use.  Has all original parts as issued and show no sign of post-war repair or refurbishment (and quite scarce thus).  Not import-marked.
