A Russian-capture in Excellent condition, small parts electropenciled 9597 to match receiver, stock re stamped 9597 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright. A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing and bold 1933-dated Mauser Banner atop receiver and commercial BUGN proofs, Mauser address on left side of receiver. Has all-milled parts (except stamped triggerguard) electro-penciled to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Buttstock is solid walnut with faint Army (eagle over H) cartouches and flat buttplate, cross-bolt in stock above trigger. No cleaning-rod or locking-screws. Quite rarely seen variant. Good condition with nearly zero original bluing on metal parts but a surprisingly strong and bright bore, Czarist eagles intact on both barrel-shank and top flat of receiver. Finn property-marked [SA] on left side of barrel-shank. No matching numbers, includes cleaning-rod and 1891 spike-bayonet. American walnut buttstock (with "English Contract" cartouche and brass unit-disk) has a few expected gouges but otherwise few handling-marks from actual use, includes leather (period?) sling. Nice one-piece Russian stock with a faint TULA star and what appears to be a 1935 date below, some marks on wood from handling and storage.
