BRITISH No.1 Mk.III Enfield bolt-action rifle # S57589 (.303 British), a "peddled scheme" rifle mfg. by Standard Small Arms in 1918. Excellent arsenal-refinished condition, with 100% bluing and a very strong and bright 4-groove bore. All matching numbers, includes windage-adjustable rear sight and functional magazine cut-off. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action rifle # 22L9770 (.303 British) a Ishapore refurb mfg. at Fazakerly in 1950. Good to Very Good condition, with virtually no external finish on metal. All matching numbers (everything force-matched), with surprisingly strong and bright 5-groove bore and 2-marked bolt-head. CHILEAN Model 1912 Mauser bolt-action rifle # B5529 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Steyr in 1912 with straight bolt. Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all major parts. Has very strong markings (great Chilean crest above chamber) and a strong mirror-bright bore. No matching numbers, missing cleaning rod. Walnut stock & handguard has some nice tigerstripe figure as well as a few scratches and handling-marks with bold Chilean military acceptance cartouche on left side. DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action infantry rifle # 8005E (6.5x53R) mfg. by Steyr in 1897. Very Good condition, external metal browned, bore is excellent and bright. Bolt numbered 1637 (all bolt-parts numbered 37). Wood has original finish, with 1897-dated Steyr cartouche on right side, LW in circle cartouche on left side. Excellent-PLUS condition, rifle is still in arsenal poly-bag (slit open so the rifle could be import-marked). GERMAN Model 33/40 Mauser bolt-action "mountain carbine" # 1503a (8mm) mfg. by Brno Arms Factory (Waffen Werke Brunn, code dot) in 1941 with a mere 19.6" barrel. An Excellent
RESTORED example with very sharp and distinct markings and 98% original blue. All-correct with matching 33/40 bolt and a mirror-bright near-perfect bore. Top of front & rear receivers had once been drilled & tapped for a scope-mount, these holes have been filled-in and the markings nicely restored. Nice matching numbered laminated buttstock with metal kickplate. Includes cleaning-rod, sling and front sight-hood. Rare, only about 50,000 of these were produced at Brno 1941-1943). Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition, with 95+% Parkerized finish and no matching-numbered parts (bolt renumbered by the Israelis to match receiver). Top of receiver stamped with massive Star of David IDF logo. Bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong (looks like new). Wood is new-looking beech with 7.62 branded at bottom, complete Israeli inspection-sticker on left side, with only a few minor handling-marks. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # BL6341 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in late 1940 (the XIX year of Mussolini). Excellent condition with full bluing. Bore is a bit rough but has strong rifling and would likely "shoot clean". Has a straight-handled bolt (from an 1891 long rifle). Stock looks as if it was sanded long ago, bayonet-lug missing. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 20 # 31132 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in c.1942. Very Good condition with much original bluing remaining (bottom of mag-floorplate and triggerguard browned from carry), all-matching numbers, mum heavily ground. This type has the ladder peep-sight with aircraft wings, no monopod or action-cover. Excellent chrome-lined mirror bore, original unsanded finish on wood with considerable dings and heavy handling-marks, handguard has split down nearly its entire length. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 25 # 33176 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in c.1944. Near Excellent condition with mostly full original bluing (bottom of mag-floorplate and triggerguard browned from carry), all-matching numbers, mum heavily ground. This "last-ditch" type has the fixed rear sight, no provision for cleaning rod and wooden buttplate. Excellent mirror bore, three-piece buttstock (separate forend held in place by barrel-bands) has original finish with heavy flamed figure and a few of the expected handling-marks (some gouges on right side), not import-marked. RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 5 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1937. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with 100% bluing on all metal parts and mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All-matching numbers (bolt, magazine floorplate and buttplate stamped-numbered 5 with no letter prefix), includes cleaning-rod. SWEDISH Model 94/14 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 11033 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1901 with bent-bolt. Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore, has added muzzle-extension required for importation. All-matching numbers (033). Lovely streaked Walnut stock & handguard what appears to be original finish, brass two-screw unit-disk stamped 3 / A7 No.73 inlet on right side. Includes correct sling buckle but no sling. Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all major parts, bluing on smaller parts a bit faded. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.50/1). TURKISH Model 1903 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 282 (8x57) mfg. by Mauser in 1906. Near Excellent condition, with mostly full bluing, toughra of Sultan Abdulhamid II (reigned 1876-1909) and original Arabic inscription above chamber very bold and detailed. All numbers mismatched, bore is very strong and bright. Buttstock has some dings and handling marks but seems to retain its original finish. Includes cleaning-rod and sling. This very rifle pictured in three of the photos on page 308 of "Mauser Military Rifles of the World, Fourth edition" by Robert Ball (in the "Serbian / Yugoslavia" section). Not import-marked. Has unusual scope-mount attached to left side of receiver (however no upper mount or scope is present). Wood is a little beat-up with some loss on left side just forward of the mount.
