    AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action infantry rifle # 4108O  (8x50R original caliber) mfg. by Steyr in 1915.  Near Excellent condition, about 90% original finish remaining.  Bore is somewhat bright and strong. Stock and barrel matches receiver serial #, bolt numbered 7023. Wood is in exceptional condition for these, with only a few minor scuffs. Includes reproduction leather sling, not import marked.     AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action steutzer carbine # 9168K (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916.  Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition, will full bluing and a very bright mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts matching receiver, much remaining cosmoline inside action. Has rifle-length rear sight.     BELGIAN Model 89/16 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # F5783 (7.65x54) mfg. by Belgian Arms Factory in 1889.  Very Good overall condition, with 50% faded original bluing. All-matching numbers except for bolt (as usual), bore is strong and bright. Wood is walnut that was smoothed long ago, faint acceptance cartouche on right side. No cleaning-rod, not import-marked.     BELGIAN Model 1893 Mauser bolt-action saddle-ring carbine # 3223 (7.65x54) mfg. by Belgian Arms Factory in 1894.  Very Good overall condition, with 60% original bluing. Bolt numbered 3223 (matching), triggerguard numbered 3210, magazine floorplate # 10, bore is strong and bright. Wood is walnut that has been lightly smoothed in the distant past, cartouches on both sides very faint. Includes cleaning-rod, no provision for attaching a bayonet.  Not import-marked.     BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifle # A38067 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in 1955.   Excellent-PLUS condition, with over 98% original Suncorite painted finish, all matching numbered parts (bolt, forend, top of butt, magazine and bolt handle) stamped A38067 (matching).   Has a gorgeous mirror 4-groove bore with 1-marked bolt-head, rear sight is of the milled ladder type.  Beech stock and handguards have a very few light dings, else as new.  Includes synthetic web-sling in as-new condition.  PHOTOS . . . $1200      C&R       SOLD

    DUTCH Model 1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali rifle # O987 (11x52R) mfg. by P. Stevens, Maastricht in 1875. Very Good condition, with an excellent, mirror bright strong rifled bore. External metal was "in the white" and has mostly turned splotchy brown and shows some wear from actual use, wood retains original finish with clear cartouche of crowned W (for King William III, reigned 1849-1890) MAASTRICHT above and date 1875 at sides. Bolt is from a different rifle (O758), magazine follower numbered O987 (matching). Mechanically sound (including the magazine-disconnect), no cleaning-rod (as usual). I would not hesitate to shoot it this rifle if I had any ammo at all (.43 Egyptian ammo can be safely used if no Beaumont ammo can be found). Not import-marked.     FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 813555 (7.62x54R) mfg. by New England Westinghouse in 1915 with [SA] Finn property-mark on left side of barrel-shank and PUOLUSTUSLAITOS atop barrel. Excellent condition with 95% or better remaining bluing, bore is strong and mostly bright, has been counterbored at muzzle. Bolt stamped 813555. Includes cleaning-rod. Finn two-piece stock has faint DEUTCHES REICH cartouche on right side attesting to its having been captured by the Germans during WWI.  Wood has many handling marks and a couple heavy dings but is sound.  Rare P-L stamp on these.  PHOTOS . . . $900.      C&R      SOLD

    FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 19225 (7.62x54R) mfg. by VKT in 1941 with PUOLUSTUSLAITOS atop barrel.   Very Good condition, with 70% or so bluing and a very bright and strong bore.  Matching bolt, buttplate and magazine floorplate scrubbed.     FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 29421 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1942 with PUOLUSTUSLAITOS. Very Good condition, with 60% or so bluing and a somewhat bright and strong bore. AZF stamped atop receiver (indicating Austrian capture during the Great War). Matching bolt, buttplate and magazine floorplate scrubbed.     FINN Model 27 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 71307 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1933 on a 1917 dated Tula receiver with PUOLUSTUSLAITOS atop barrel.   Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing and a very bright and strong bore.  Matching bolt (with winged connector), has window type slider on rear sight, buttplate and magazine floorplate not matching (as usual for these).  Stock has some minor handling marks and one large dig on left side.     FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # S99454 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka  on an undated Tula receiver  with SY civil-guard marking.    Excellent condition, with 95% or better fading bluing and an extremely bright bore.  Bolt body stamped S99454 (the actual original serial number 319125, now crossed out, is on the left side of the barrel-shank).  S99454 on right side of barrel-shank (Etelä-Pohjanmaa itäinen Civil Guard district of South Ostrobithhnia in western Finland).  One-piece Finn stock has original finish with the expected scrapes, dings and dents from actual service usage.  PHOTOS . . . $1025.        C&R      SOLD

    FINN Model 38 Mosin Nagant bolt-action carbine # LYA8145 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevesk in 1941 on a round receiver, [SA] Finn property-mark on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good or better condition, with 80% bluing (slightly faded on triggerguard and barrel bands) with a strong, mostly bright bore (not counterbored at muzzle). Bolt and magazine floorplate stamped LЯ8145 (matching), buttplate stamped KЖ388, has hooded post front sight and cleaning rod.  Stock and handguard has original finish (with clear cartouches) with some handling marks and light scratches. multiple dings and hash marks but no cracks. Includes web sling with inked notations in Russian. Not import-marked, Finn Mosin Nagant carbines are quite rare, as the Finns were not sissies and they greatly preferred using rifles to carbines.   PHOTOS . . . $1350.    C&R     SOLD

    FINN Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 493844 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1921 with straight bolt and unthreaded muzzle, [SA] stamped on left side of receiver.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better strong bluing on all metal parts. Has strong markings and a bright and strong bore  (disk marked 6.0/1).  All visible parts numbered 844 except cleaning rod, magazine floorplate, and barrel bands.  Beech stock & handguard has a few handling marks but is otherwise sound.  PHOTOS . . . $1250.     C&R     SOLD

    HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 7038R (8x56R) mfg. by F.È.G. (Budapest). Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition, will full bluing and a mostly bright strong bore. All numbered parts matching receiver, much remaining cosmoline inside action.     ITALIAN Model 91/24 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry carbine with attached folding-bayonet # B3954 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. by F.N.A. Brescia in 1934 (year XII of Mussolini).  Excellent condition with 90+% full bluing and an excellent, bright and strong bore.  Beech stock and handguard has serial number on left side and a heavy knock on right side,  Includes one  six-round en-bloc clip.  PHOTOS . . . $475.      C&R      SOLD

    JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 30, # 12118 (6.5x50) mfg. at Jinsen (Korea) in February - September  1942.  Near Excellent condition with full original bluing having some areas of light pitting, all matching serial numbers,  Has intact mum, open ladder rear sights, missing cleaning rod.   One-piece stock has original finish with quite a bit of evident wartime battle trauma, including a diagonal crack in the forend and some obvious shrapnel damage on the buttstock with a small chunk missing. Bore is mostly bright and very strong, metal finish is decent except on surfaces exposed to body fluids (some staining also on the wood).  Not import-marked, quite a poignant piece of history.  PHOTO . . . $650.*      C&R      SOLD

    JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle # 5057695 (6.5x50) mfg. at Hoten Arms Plant (Mukden, Manchuria) in July  - October  1941.  Near Excellent condition with full original bluing (less on triggerguard and magazine floorplate from carry).  Mum has been ground (but is partly visible).  Features open ladder rear sights, includes cleaning rod.  Stock has original finish with some of the expected handling marks.  Bore is mostly bright and very strong, metal finish is quite nice.     JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 6, # 29532 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in October 1943 - January 1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing, all matching serial numbers,  Mum is heavily ground,  Has ladder-type peep rear sight and it does include the cleaning rod.  Wood has original finish with very few handling marks. Chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong, metal finish has seen better days but isn't terrible. Not import-marked.  PHOTO . . . $550.      C&R     

    PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # C03054 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1931 (1309 Anno Hijera). Excellent condition, with all-matching serial numbers. Internally perfect with a mirror-perfect bore, much remaining original cosmoline in the action.  Wood is walnut with nice grain, has some contact-marks and abrasions as well as a heavy scratch on right side.     PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle with matching bayonet # C05540 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1931. Excellent condition, with all-matching numbers including bayonet. Full bluing with bold Persian lion-cartouche above chamber. Internally perfect with a mirror-perfect bore, wood is walnut with a beautiful antique French-style furniture-type finish, some dings from adjacent rifles.     SIAMESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 1406 (6.5x50) mfg. at Tokyo as a Type 38 carbine.  Excellent condition with full original bluing, no matching serial numbers,  Has Charkra of the Royal Thai Army atop-chamber instead of chrysanthemum, four-character serial number in Thai below.  Has peep ladder rear sight and protected front sights but missing cleaning rod.   Buttstock and handguard are in near perfect condition with original finish.  Bore is extremely bright and very strong, metal finish is superb.     SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 907429 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1948. Near Excellent condition with 80% or so original bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. All-matching serial numbers including 6-round magazine.
