RUSSIAN Model 91/38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 66373 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1904. Good condition, metal finish has turned gray with some light porosity throughout. Magazine floorplate and buttplate matching, bolt (made by Châtellerault) is not numbered. Bore is mostly bright and strong, M-38 buttstock (without bayonet groove) has only a few handling marks.  Includes cleaning rod and web sling tied with thongs. SOVIET Model 1891/59 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # CK4211 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943 with round receiver.   Excellent-PLUS refurbished  condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mostly-bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts stamped CK4211.  M38 stock (without bayonet groove on right side) has a few scratches in the finish and a gouge at bottom of forend. Includes cleaning rod. U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action infantry rifle # 136514 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in October, 1898.   Excellent condition with 90% thinning bluing on all metal. All correct as issued including the M1896 rear sight found on the earliest issue of the M1898. Bore is not shiny and bright but is free of pitting, scoring and frosting. Walnut stock has bold boxed JSA 1898 cartouche on left side, and several scuffs (but no cracks) with repro M1887 leather sling Not import-marked, a very high grade example. U.S.A. Model 1903 Mark I Springfield bolt-action rifle # 1045879 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1918 with original barrel marked S.A. 11-18 and all original Mark I parts (trigger, sear, magazine cut-off & stock).   Near Excellent or better condition with most external bluing remaining, bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (TE =1.5, MW = 0.0). Stock has some small cosmetic repairs on forend with RA-P cartouche (indicating inspection at Raritan Arsenal) but no evidence of overhaul or rebuilding. Not import-marked. Mark I rifles (modified for use with the additional Pederson "trench clearing" automatic rifle adapter) with original parts are exceedingly hard to find.   PHOTOS . . . $1850.    C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1241262 (.30-06) mfg. by Winchester in October, 1942 with early postwar replacement SA 3-46 dated barrel.    Near Excellent condition with most black Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and strong (TE = 4.0, MW = 1.0), bottom of forend shows some wear.  This rifle was rebuilt at Rock Island Arsenal very shortly after the war ended.  Walnut stock and handguard has some handling marks but is still quite nice with a very clear large boxed RIA / EB cartouche on left side.  Not import-marked, includes CMP certificate of authenticity and data-sheet. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2485484 (.30-06) mfg. by Winchester in September, 1944 with replacement SA 8-51 dated barrel.    Excellent-PLUS condition with 100% light gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and strong (TE = 4.0, MW = 1.5).  This rifle was rebuilt at Red River Army Depot (marked RRAD 8-66 on right tang).  Birch stock and front handguard looks new (but isn't), rear handguard is walnut. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 40617 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in April, 1940 with replacement SA 4-44 dated barrel.  Excellent condition with full light gray Parkerized finish on all metal, bore is quite nice (TE = 3.0, MW = 3.5).  This gas-trap rifle was rebuilt to gas-port configuration postwar with a mixture of wartime and later parts.  Has walnut stock and handguards with nice grain and the usual handling marks.  Not import-marked,  includes CMP certificate of authenticity and data-sheet.   PHOTOS . . . $1450.    C&R      SOLD

A postwar (Korean-era) rebuild by either San Antonio or Red River Arsenal.  Has nice Walnut stock and handguards with some compressions but little actual wear. A Springfield 1-65 rebuild which was not issued since. Has nice DOD-cartouched Walnut stock and handguards with a few compressions but little actual wear. An Anniston Army Depot 1960's era rebuild with National Match operating rod and all SA-marked parts. Walnut stock and handguard has several dents and compressions (none of major size). A decent Letterkenny rebuild (marked LEAD 5-65) with SA-marked small parts. Has walnut buttstock with some nicks and scratches from service use.
