BRITISH Mark III Snider-Enfield three-band musket # 8039 (.577 Cartridge) mfg. by Enfield in 1871 with correct socket-bayonet. Very Good condition, entirely functional with surprisingly strong and mostly bright bore.  All external metal quite nice, original buttstock with cartouche a bit battered but sound. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # AC2706 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1943.  Excellent condition, an all-matching rifle (including magazine) with a mirror-perfect bore.  Has Mk3 stamped ladder rear sight and bluish-green web-sling. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # BT12430 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby in 1944.  Excellent condition, an all-matching rifle (including magazine) with a mirror-perfect bore.  Has milled ladder rear sight. Stock and handguard has a few contact marks. Left side of receiver stamped No.4 Mk.1* but I cannot figure out what the star could stand for as it isn't from the Long Branch or Savage production. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.2 bolt-action rifle # PF322345 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in February 1954.  Excellent-PLUS condition, basically an all-matching new "Irish-contract" rifle that was unwrapped from cosmoline, cleaned, and perhaps fired a few times. Perfect mirror-bore, nice metal and wood (a few contact marks but nothing major). All-matching numbers, nearly as nice as is obtainable for these.  PHOTOS . . . $625.   C&R   SOLD

CANADIAN Enfield C No.4 Mk.I* bolt-action rifle # 92L1846 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch arsenal in 1950.   Excellent condition, with full blued finish (magazine browned), all-matching numbers with a #1 marked bolt-head.  4-groove bore is mirror-bright and strong (showing little if any actual use), has Mk.II stamped ladder rear-sight. Walnut stock and handguards are sound with a few dings and handling-marks and is quite attractive.  Canadian property-marked on bottom of forend and buttstock.  PHOTOS . . . $425.   C&R    SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 1676M (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1918. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing.  All matching numbers, bore is strong and mostly bright. Wood is walnut in excellent condition with only a few minor handling-marks. Buttplate has been replaced with a shaped piece of plastic. Includes two ammo clips. FINN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 163491 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Tula in 1899 with [SA] property marking on left side of barrel-shank.  Near Excellent condition, most bluing remaining with very strong markings, including Russian eagles. Bolt-body stamped 163491. Bore is mostly bright with strong rifling, has been counterbored at muzzle. Russian one-piece stock with Finn handguard has some handling marks. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 28872 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1928 by Tikka. Excellent condition with 95% original bluing. Bolt-body matching with winged connector, bore is a bit rough with strong rifling (may "shoot clean"). Includes cleaning-rod. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 200518 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1941 with correct STRAIGHT STOCK.  Very Good condition with 60% bluing on all metal parts and a mostly bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). 0518 stamped on bolt-knob and magazine-floorplate, buttplate scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod and correct leather sling. Two-piece Finn straight stock with SAKO and crossed cannon cartouches on right side, a couple handling marks and scratches from actual use. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 234439 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1943. Good condition with zero remaining external bluing on metal parts and a strong if not very bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, numbers on magazine-floorplate not matching (as usual), buttplate scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod and sling. Good condition with little to no remaining external bluing on all metal parts and a mostly bright and strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, numbers on magazine-floorplate and buttplate not matching or scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod and correct sling. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 508032 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1943 with SK.Y marked barrel and buttstock. Good condition with very little remaining bluing on metal parts with a bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle).  8032 stamped on bolt-knob and magazine-floorplate, buttplate number scrubbed (as usual). Includes cleaning-rod and green leather sling. Two-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) is in quite nice condition aside from two gouges on left side with bold 43-dated SK.Y cartouche on right side. PHOTOS . . . $375.      C&R  

FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 37825 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. at Fabrique National in 1942. Excellent-PLUS condition, full bluing on all metal parts (barrel has a reddish hue). Bolt-knob stamped 7825. Bore is mirror-bright and very sharp. New-looking two-piece postwar stock (square finger-joints) has virtually no handling marks. Includes cleaning rod, attached Finn arsenal tag (dated 21 Nov 1978) shows the bore-state as 7.61/0 (better than perfect). PHOTOS  . . . $395.  C&R    SOLD

FINN Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # CB1229 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1941 with [SA] property marking on left side of receiver.  Excellent condition with nearly all bluing intact and an unusually excellent bright bore. Numbers on parts NOT matching (as usual for these), receiver grooved for scope-mount, features 12-slotted muzzle-break. Stock and handguard have very few handling marks. FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # J12970 (7.5x54) mfg. by St. Ettienne around 1946. Near Excellent condition, NOT arsenal refurbished with 80% external finish and all early features. GERMAN Model Gew 98 bolt-action Mauser rifle # 1864g (8mm), originally a Gewehr 98 long rifle manufactured by Spandau in 1916 with added 1920 date, reconfigured to vz24 configuration by cutting down barrel and fitting action into a vz24 stock with a vz24 bolt. Very Good condition, bore is a bit rough but has strong rifling. Not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $325.   C&R  

INDIAN Enfield No.2A1 bolt-action rifle # Z2838 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1968.  Near Excellent condition, metal thickly covered in black enamel (some chipping on magazine). All matching serial numbers, bore is bright and sharp.  Stock has original finish with some heavy contact marks but no repairs. PHOTOS . . . $195.   C&R   SOLD

JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action training rifle # 233 (6.5x50) unknown manufacturer c.1920. Fair to Good condition with little remaining original bluing.  All markings removed from receiver and barrel, number 233 stamped on back of tang.  Bolt functions but striker is broken and tip has been snipped to prevent it from being fired. Has ladder V-type rear-sight with no cleaning rod or action-cover.  Bore is quite a sewer pipe but appears to have rifling. Original unsanded finish on wood with quite a few of the expected handling-marks, buttplate missing upper screw. Japanese cartouche on left side is from some sort of industrial school.  U.S. soldier's name ACKERMAN, E. D. carved on right side.  Not import-marked, a decent "wall-hanger". PERUVIAN Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 18458 (7.65x53) mfg. by Mauser in c. 1914.  Excellent-PLUS, essentially UNISSUED condition, with 100% original bluing (receiver in the white as is proper for these). Bore is mirror-perfect, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful, and that roller-coaster rear sight works perfectly.  All matching numbers (including bolt), stock is nearly flawless (with large and bold MAUSER BANNER cartouche on right side). Includes cleaning-rod and correct sling and muzzle-cap. Not import-marked, very rare to have matching bolt as they were stored separately.  Literally astonishing and unimprovable,  worthy of the finest collection.  PHOTOS . . . $2650.   C&R   SOLD

RUSSIAN Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # AM2625 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent-PLUS condition with 100+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (counterbored at muzzle, as usual for these). All-matching numbers including prefixes, magazine-floorplate force-matched with gorgeous laminated M38 buttstock without bayonet-groove, includes correct sling and cleaning rod. Model of 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 692088 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1917 with a replacement SA / 6-42 barrel.   Excellent condition with 98% Gray Parkerizing on all metal.
