AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action rifle # 2204E (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917.  A long rifle arsenal-refurbished to Excellent condition with 95+% bluing and ALL-MATCHING numbers (number on stock struck-through and renumbered to match, bolt is electropenciled to match).  Bore is dark but has sharp rifling, wood is of streaked walnut and has a few minor scratches and compressions from handling but nothing major. BRITISH Pattern 14 bolt-action rifle # 404737 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in 1916.  Very Good condition, a nice example with much Parkerizing intact and has a very bright and strong bore. Number stamped on top of bolt handle matches receiver, volley-sights missing (as usual). Has original walnut stock with many of the expected handling-marks. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.2 bolt-action rifle # A18705 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in 1955.  Unissued, in perfect condition (was a "mummy-wrapped" example from a decade ago that has been nicely cleaned of all original cosmoline). EGYPTIAN  "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 40661 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1965.  Near Excellent condition, 90% original bluing with a strong and bright bore. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 21118 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1928 by Tikka on a scrubbed hexagonal receiver. Near Excellent condition with 90% original bluing. Bolt-body matching, bore is quite strong and bright, includes cleaning-rod. One-piece stock has the expected handling-marks and dings of a service weapon that has no doubt seen actual combat. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 203605 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1941 with STRAIGHT STOCK. Very Good original condition with 60% bluing on all metal parts and a slightly rough but strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, matching numbers (3605) on magazine-floorplate, buttplate scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod. Three-piece straight stock (rounded finger-joints) has very sharp SAKO cartouches on right side with some handling-marks and scuffs from actual use, 1959-dated FINN ARSENAL-TAG still attached. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 63014 (7.62x54R) mfg. by VKT in 1944. Very Good condition with 80% bluing on all metal parts and a somewhat bright bore (counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, numbers on magazine-floorplate and buttplate not matching or scrubbed. Includes cleaning-rod. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 118g (8x57) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code 660) in 1940.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 118 to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright, very bold Nazi swastikas on left side of barrel-shank and receiver. Buttstock is laminated with flat buttplate and faint Army cartouches, includes repro cleaning rod. PHOTO . . . $395.   C&R  

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 7615 (8mm), having SSZZA4 marking on left side of barrel-shank  mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (factory code bnz) in 1943.  A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 7615 by the Russians on left side. Bore is strong and mostly bright, all-milled parts utilized in the refurbishment with flat buttplate. Non-matching bolt has flattened and checkered knob (from WWI-era Kar.98). GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 9752 (8mm), having SSZZA4 marking on left side of barrel-shank  mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (factory code bnz) in 1943. A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 9752 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, all-milled parts except stamped front-band utilized in the refurbishment, with cupped buttplate. Import-marked TG KNOX TN 98K 8MM GERMANY on bottom of barrel. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action 8mm rifle # 3219 with SINGLE RUNE atop chamber manufactured at the MAUTHAUSEN CONCENTRATION CAMP under the supervision of Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 43) in 1943 especially for the dreaded Nazi SS. Russian-captured and reworked from randomly assembled parts with 100% hot-dip bluing, all-milled parts electro-penciled 3219 to match receiver, buttstock has very distinct eagle / H Army cartouche on right side with cupped buttplate stamped brg 40. Bore is bright and strong, totally functional. All Nazi markings clear and not pinged. Extremely rare! Authenticity of SS markings ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED! No cleaning-rod or locking-screws, it appears that someone had trouble removing the front barrel-band, resulting in many small superficial pings on right side of barrel behind it. PHOTO . . . $695.   C&R  

ORANGE FREE STATE Model 1893 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8027 (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1899 with Chilean crest above chamber and O.V.S. on left side above serial number.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing intact.  Strong, very shiny bore, all matching parts except turned-down bolt. Lovely walnut stock with tiger-striped walnut handguard (both lightly sanded many years ago). Includes cleaning-rod.  While bearing a close resemblance to the Chilean Model 1895 Mauser, this has a different rear sight and the receiver does not have the auxiliary bolt-lug. PORTUGUESE  Model 904/39  Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # G4970 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904.   Very Good condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber.  Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore. Wood has arsenal-repair at toe, includes cleaning-rod.  Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.  PHOTOS . . . $325.    C&R   

RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 290170 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Remington in 1917.  Good to Very Good condition, not much bluing remaining (perhaps 50%) but has very strong markings. Apparently some sort of rework (Finn?) as the bolt-body and magazine-floorplate are both numbered 0170 to match barrel-shank but the rifle is not [SA] marked (or import-marked). Stock is of American black walnut, with "English Contract" (in Russian) cartouche on left side. Bore is strong and mostly bright. Not import-marked. PHOTOS  . . . $175.  C&R  SOLD

RUSSIAN Model 91/30 SNIPER rifle # KY3295 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Izhevsk in 1943.  An Excellent-PLUS rearsenaled genuine original PU-sniper with close to 100% bluing and a strong bright bore.  All-matching numbers (the scope-mount electropencilled with both the rifle and scope numbers, the bolt, magazine-floorplate and buttplate stamped with compete serial-number including letter prefix), scope # b134540 has near-perfect optics and is correct for late Izhevsk snipers.  Stock is quite nice with that thick reddish-shellac that tends to chip and peel, a couple minor scrapes in finish from handling rather than use, else as perfect an example as one could expect to encounter. RUSSIAN Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # CA2863 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1941.  Near Excellent condition, a Finn-capture [SA] marked with an unusually excellent bright bore, bolt-carrier "in the white".  No matching numbers (as usual), magazine [SA] marked on bottom, receiver grooved for scope-mount, features 12-slotted muzzle-break. SPANISH Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action saddle-ring cavalry carbine # 3958 (7.65x53) mfg. by Loewe in 1894.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% mostly strong bluing and strong Spanish crest atop receiver. No matching numbers.  Strong very bright bore, walnut stock and handguard has been sanded and refinished some time ago, with few handling-marks since. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 470842 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1919 with straight-bolt.  Very Good condition, with 80% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore.  All-matching numbers (cleaning-rod not numbered). SWEDISH Model AG42B Ljungmann semiautomatic rifle # 9296 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1943.  Excellent condition with 98% or better original bluing and original finish on the wood. All-matching numbers.  Includes cleaning-rod and leather sling. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright with a 6.48/0 stamped bore-disk. U.S.A. Model 1888 Trapdoor falling-block single-shot infantry rifle with RAMROD-BAYONET # 550867 (.45-70 Government) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1892. Good to Very Good overall condition, metal turning brown but it has a gorgeous, mirror-bright bore.  Original military configuration with strong markings (including 1892-dated cartouche on wood). Walnut stock has original finish and has never been sanded, some very minor scrapes and handling-marks, a few rack-numbers (from National Guard use?) stamped on butt. U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action infantry rifle # 147514 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1898.  Good overall condition, metal has some areas of light pitting and mostly gray in color. Bore is strong and mostly bright, rifle is fully functional. Stock has bold 1898-dated cartouche and has never been refinished (with the expected handling marks from actual use while in service), two hairline cracks at back of triggerguard. U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action sporterized carbine # 196636 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1898.  Fair to Good overall condition, metal has major areas of light pitting and mostly gray or reddish in color. Bore is rough but has strong lands and groove and may clean up, rifle is fully functional. Stock (with 1902 or 1903 dated cartouche) has been cut off to carbine length and barrel has been shortened to 22". U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action "sporter" rifle # 3312495 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in 1942.  Excellent condition, metal has been  highly polished and professionally reblued. Someone put a LOT of work into making this a very elegant light sporter with a Monte-Carlo stock having a Schnabel forend and a Decelerator recoil-pad, Lyman-type rear aperture-sights, light target trigger and a big honkin' muzzle-brake at the end of the barrel. Stock has a 1" long very thin crack at the tang (looks stable), bore is strong and mostly bright.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS  . . . $350.  C&R   SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2672169 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in March, 1944.  A Danish lend-lease CMP rifle in Excellent condition with much uniform light-gray Parkerizing on metal. Danish VAR barrel (dated 4-60) has a gorgeous mirror-bore (TE 1.5, ME 1). All WWII-era U.S.-made parts, buttstock has some handling-marks from use and (matching) serial number stamped at bottom, front handguard has one short hairline crack at rear. Includes Civilian Marksmanship Program paperwork and 2 Mar. 2000 dated certificate of authenticity. VENEZUELAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 4723 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique National in c.1953.   Very Good condition, with 70% original blued and strong, mostly bright bore. All-matching numbers, Venezuelan crest on receiver is bold, with slotted muzzle-break, a few dents in the magazine body.  Walnut stock has had a Pachmeyer recoil pad added and an (easily removable) commercial folding bipod on the barrel. There is also a cartouche on the right side of the stock of the fella who "improved" this rifle. Includes leather sling. PHOTOS . . . $325.   C&R   SOLD
