Excellent condition, with 90% strong bluing (bluing worn on magazine-floorplate from carry), springs exhibiting much fire-blue. Crest has been ground (as usual), all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is strong and quite bright. AUSTRALIAN Martini Cadet single-shot rifle # 26167 (.310 Greener) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in c.1910. Excellent condition with nearly full original bluing and very bold markings (including that of a Kangeroo above chamber). AUSTRIAN Modell 1903 Mannlicher-Schoenauer bolt-action infantry rifle # 3587A (6.5x54 M/S) mfg. by Steyr in 1910. Yes, folks, this is the full-military version of the famed M/S rifle with its rotary magazine. I have been looking for a nice one of these for the past thirty years without success. This is the "export" version without the Greek crest on the receiver. Bolt is mismatched, bore is a bit dark (but very strong and will brighten up after a few rounds are put through it). It is missing its cleaning-rod and there are minor wood losses near the cleaning-rod channel. Wood has been refinished but the metal has not and it is overall in Near Excellent condition and 100% functional. Rare as Hell, not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $495. C&R SOLD
BRAZILIAN Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 138o (7x57mm) mfg. by DWM Berlin in c.1910. Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing (receiver should be in the white, but is a bit browned), bore is strong and very bright, bolt not matching but headspaces correctly. BRAZILIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7560 (7x57mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1935. Excellent condition, with 98% bluing (receiver in the white), bore is a bit dark but has very strong rifling, all-matching numbers. Brazilian-crest above chamber very strong, as is Mauser banner on rear receiver. Wood is tigerstripe walnut and was lightly refinished long ago. Includes cleaning-rod nut no rear sling-swivel. BRITISH Enfield No.4 (T) SNIPER bolt-action rifle # B31125 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley arsenal in 1944. Overall Near Excellent condition, with nearly full stoving finish and decent walnut buttstock stock (with added wooden cheek-piece) and beech forend numbered to rifle. Scope is # 18310 and has strong markings (rear lens slightly chipped at top but lens clear, bright and in focus). Rifle serial # stamped on scope-mounts is not matching (# B32175). Bore is exceptionally mirror-bright and strong (showing little if any actual use), 3-stamped bolt-head, bolt handle matching receiver. Rifle appears to have refurbished at Ishapore. CZECH Model VZ-24 bolt-action rifle # XXI 2289 (8x57mm) mfg. by Brno in 1934. Very Good condition, some of the bluing browned, Nazi eagle and swastika on left side of receiver. DUTCH Model 71/88 Beaumont-Vitali rifle # T621 (11x52R) mfg. by P. Stevens, Maastricht in 1877. Very Good condition, with an unbelievably perfect, mirror bore that is really amazing to look down. External metal was "in the white" and shows little if any actual wear (small areas of minor pitting, as can be expected), wood has been sanded sometime in the distant past and has small cracks radiating from both sides of magazine. All-matching numbers (621) on all parts, additional number (3699) was given at time of 1890 Vitali rework (appears on left side of barrel and on buttplate). Mechanically perfect (including the magazine-disconnect), includes cleaning-rod. Zero handling marks on the wood (which literally looks new) and metal, includes many accessories including 4 magazines, sling, bayonet, cleaning-kit, manual and rubber buttplate. An original matching bringback that has been dropped into a laminated non-matching stock (with VIVID Army and WaA37 cartouches), non-matching barrel-bands and bayonet-lug, all other parts matching receiver. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, very bold Weimar eagles on left side of receiver, three eagle / swastikas on right side of receiver. Has all-milled parts and a flat buttplate. GREEK Model 1930 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # G553 (7.62x51 NATO), mfg. by Fabrique National in c.1930. Before you get too excited, this rifle has been rebarreled and the receiver has been drilled and tapped. The bolt has been turned down, the bottom of the bolt-knob has been flattened and checkered, and a sporting-type safety has been added. ITALIAN Model 1870/87/16 Vetterli-Vitali bolt-action infantry rifle # BE814 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. by Torino in 1881.
