BRAZILIAN Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action long rifle # 3225Bb (7x57) mfg. by DWM in c.1912.  Very Good or better with 80% bluing (receiver in the white, barrel-bands, magazine floorplate and triggerguard shows actual wear) and all-matching numbers including buttstock. Bore is a bit rough but has strong rifling and would likely "shoot clean". Nicely detailed Brazilian crest above chamber. Walnut stock has some dings and dents and signs of actual use but retains its original finish and has never been sanded (rack number 19 painted on right side). Includes cleaning rod and correct muzzle-cap. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $350.   C&R  

BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.2 bolt-action rifle # A19034 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in 1955.  Unissued, in perfect condition (was a "mummy-wrapped" example from a decade ago that was unwrapped) and is still yet unfired with a perfect bore. Stock has a couple very small scuffs, else AS NEW.  All-matching numbers.  PHOTOS . . . $650.   C&R    SOLD

CANADIAN Model 10 Ross straight-pull bolt-action rifle # 459 (.303 British) mfg. in Quebec in 1910. Excellent, military stock has been sporterized with black rubber buttpad expertly fitted. Has original complicated rear-sight and smooth action with a mirror-bright bore. Serial-numbered on wood (very faint), not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $450.   C&R    SOLD

DANISH Model 89 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action sporting rifle # 22921 (8x58R mm) mfg. in Copenhagen in 1892. Excellent condition with all-matching serial numbers and a mirror-perfect bore.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $750.  Antique, no FFL required   SOLD

FRENCH Model 1907-15 Berthier bolt-action infantry rifle (8x50R Lebel), mfg. by Remington in 1918.  Excellent-PLUS condition with all original bluing intact, no serial number as these were never accepted by the French government. Gorgeous mirror-bright bore, literally looks unfired. Stock has only a couple minor marks, else as new, missing stacking-hook from front barrel-band. Not import-marked. FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action "liberation" rifle # 802 (7.5x54mm) mfg. by St. Ettienne in late 1944 with all early features. Excellent condition with near 100% Phosphated finish on all metal and a nice wood stock. Shiny, bright bore, matching bolt. Includes integral spike-bayonet. Not import-marked. ITALIAN Model 1870/87 Vetterli-Vitali  bolt-action infantry rifle # AG1387 (10.4 Italian centerfire) mfg. by Torino in 1878 and converted to the Vitali magazine system at Genova in 1886 (with very clear conversion cartouche).  Very Good PLUS condition, original external finish browned with age. Bore is surprisingly quite strong and mirror-bright and rifle appears to be functional. Wood is almost mar-free and has a sharp 121 year-old refurbishment cartouche on its right side.  Includes cleaning-rod as well as bayonet and scabbard numbered to this rifle.   No import marks, rifle is an impressive 6 1/2 feet tall with bayonet attached.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   Antique, no FFL required   SOLD

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # AU3644 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in late 1940 (the XIX year of Mussolini). Excellent condition with full bluing. Bore is a bit rough but has strong rifling and would likely "shoot clean". Stock looks as if it was refinished long ago, bayonet-lug missing. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $250.   C&R   SOLD

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 1, # 59917 (7.7x58) mfg. by Toriimatsu factory of Nagoya Arsenal in c. 1939. Metal in excellent condition, with full original bluing and a gorgeous, mirror-bright chrome-lined bore, mum neatly ground, all matching numbers except action-cover. Has aircraft rear sight,  cleaning-rod and original monopod. Wood may have possibly been refinished at one time but not excessively sanded. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . . $350.  C&R    SOLD

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 34 # 43142 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in c.1943. Excellent condition with mostly full original bluing, all-matching numbers, intact mum.  This type has the ladder peep-sight without aircraft wings, no cleaning-rod or action-cover, welded safety, wooden buttplate. Excellent chrome-lined mirror bore, original unsanded finish on wood with a few expected handling-marks, no import-marks. PHOTO . . . $450. C&R   SOLD

PERSIAN Model 98/29 Mauser bolt-action rifle # C00494 (8x57), mfg. by Brno in 1931 (A.H. 1309).  New, literally UNISSUED condition, with 100% bluing, action-bolts have flawless "straw" coloring. Has perfect mirror-bright bore and all-matching numbers, all markings clean with a magnificent lion-crest above chamber. Gorgeous Streaked Walnut stock has lovely original antique-furniture type finish with very few handling-marks (mostly compressions from contact with adjacent rifles).  PHOTOS . . . $750.  C&R   SOLD

PERUVIAN Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7800 (7.65x53) mfg. by Mauser in c. 1910.  Very Good or better overall condition, all external metal mostly browned. Bore is bright and very strong, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful.  All-matching numbers except for bolt (as usual).  Reddish-walnut stock appears to be from a Brazilian DWM mauser.  It has been sanded long ago, a couple scrapes on right side from contact with adjacent rifles during normal storage & handling through the years.  Some tiny pings on front of triggerguard.  Not import-marked, rare. Missing cleaning rod but has correct muzzle-cap.  PHOTOS . . . $450.   C&R   

PERUVIAN Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 23832 (7.65x53) mfg. by Mauser in c. 1914.  Excellent or better condition, with 90% original bluing (receiver in the white as is proper for these). Bore is nearly mirror-perfect, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful.  Bolt matches receiver! Stock is correct (with intact MAUSER BANNER cartouche on right side) but is mismatched to this rifle, as are the triggerguard and magazine-floorplate. Includes cleaning-rod and correct muzzle-cap. PERUVIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 9493 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1935.   An arsenal-refurbished rifle in Very Good or better condition, with 80% bluing. Bore is excellent and mirror-like, weak PERUVIAN CREST atop chamber, all-matching numbers, bolt is bent (the knob of which is flattened and checkered on the bottom), has backwards-functioning safety, .30 stamped on back of receiver, complete with cleaning-rod.  Nice-looking Walnut buttstock with subtle tigerstripe figuring with very few handling-marks.  Originally chambered in 7.65 Argentine, most of these rifles were officially rechambered for .30-06 after WWII to take advantage of the free ammo "Uncle Sugar" was handing out like candy. SPANISH Model FR-8 Mauser bolt-action tactical carbine # FR8-28104 (7.62x51) mfg. by La Coruņa in 1957. Excellent condition, with 95% Parkerized metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Matching bolt, crest atop receiver as strong as these get. Wood looks as if it has been lightly refinished with very few minor handling-marks since with nice figure to the grain. SWISS Model 1869 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 61962 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by S.I.G., Neuhausen c.1870. Very Good PLUS condition, all-matching numbers (and every part is numbered). All original case-hardened finish turning golden or mottled, bore is mirror bright and retains strong rifling. Rifle still has magazine loading-gate (a feature usually removed after 1871) with "key" in forend. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having only a few handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod. SWISS Model 1889 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull infantry rifle # 60599 (7.5x53) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1892. Excellent condition with 98% original bluing. All-matching numbers (including magazine), virtually perfect mirror-bore. Walnut stock and handguard has original finish plus whatever minor handling-marks can be expected on a 115 year-old rifle with original finish. A nice collectable example, worthy of the finest collection.  Includes brass & steel muzzle-cap.
