RIFLES
CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic carbine #10228850 (7.62x39), mfg. by Factory 26 around 1966. This is the scarce "mounted troops" version, with sling-swivel on left side of stock. Excellent-plus condition, with all-matching numbers, 100% bluing and mirror-perfect bore. Has cleaning-kit in the butt-trap and cleaning-rod, but spike-bayonet (and the screw that attaches it) is AWOL (they are very inexpensive and easy to find). Wood pretty nice-looking with some minor scuffs on sides from stacking. . . $250. SOLD
EGYPTIAN "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle #9108 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in the late 1950's (the earliest Hakims were undated). Excellent-plus, 99% original bluing with a gorgeous mirror-bore. Has a Ljungmann magazine (which functions perfectly). Wood has been nicely refinished (looks military) and only has a couple minor handling marks. . . $375. C&R SOLD
EGYPTIAN "Rasheed" semiautomatic carbine #7631 (7.62x39), mfg. by Maadi in 1968 with attached blade bayonet. Near Excellent condition, with 85% original bluing. Bore is mirror-bright and near-perfect. Buttstock and handguard have original finish and only a few of the expected handling-marks. . . $350. C&R SOLD
FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #1608 (7.62x54R), barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1926 with a "scrubbed" tang. Excellent condition upper-metal with at least 95% bluing, triggerguard considerably more worn with only about 10% blue. Matching bolt, with an excellent mirror-bright bore. Finn 3-piece stock with heavy handling-marks and quite a few gouges. Includes cleaning-rod. . . $225. C&R SOLD
FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant rifle #24763 (7.62x54R) SY-marked barrel with no manufacturer or date. Good condition, with little bluing on exposed metal, matching bolt-knob, bore quite but has some minor pitting near the muzzle. Finn two-piece stock is more than a little beat-up with a couple arsenal-repairs but is otherwise sound, handguard is excellent. . . $250. C&R
GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle #3542 (8x57) mfg. by unknown Nazi arsenal. A Yugoslavian rework in Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing. No matching numbers except stock (old number lined-out and matching one stamped below). Bore is very rough but lands look strong and it might clean-up. Really nice and attractive laminated buttstock with Waffen-Ampt cartouches faintly visible on right side. Most Nazi markings and codes removed with bold communist Yugoslav crest atop chamber. Has all-milled parts, no sight-hood or cleaning-rod. . . $95. C&R SOLD
JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action training rifle #00674790 (6.5x50) mfg. by Nagoya in c.1915. Externally VG with 90% bluing, mismatched numbers, mum effaced with numeral 0's stamped all around it's perimeter and Kanji character for "school" stamped below it. Bore is shiny but has no rifling (as made). Chinese-made one-piece buttstock in decent condition with expected handling-marks, no cleaning-rod. See Honeycutt, page 46 for a similar arm. Not intended to be fired, though totally functional and can be shot if you desire a "pattern" rather than a "group" at virtually any distance . . . $125. C&R
JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle, Series 32 #4789 (7.7x58) mfg. by Toyo Kogyo, Hiroshima in c.1943. Excellent + condition with 100% bluing on barrelled receiver, serial-number on plum-handled bolt (and all bolt-parts) matches receiver. Intact mum, mirror-perfect chrome-lined bore and chamber. Stock and handguard are I think the finest I have ever seen, unsanded with all-original finish and virtually NONE of the usual handling-marks, just a couple of tiny scratches and bumps. This rifle does have a couple unusual features, though. For one all of the stock-fittings and the trigger-guard / magazine floorplate have a uniform plum color and look like they may have come off a different rifle (not matching). No monopod, action-cover or aircraft-sights, the cleaning-rod looks nice but is too short and not correct for this rifle. It has a leather sling with a square brass buckle that looks nice but isn't Japanese. INCLUDES a rather nice Kokura bayonet with black-painted scabbard. A really beautiful example of a Type 99 Arisaka, not import-marked. . . $325. C&R SOLD
PERUVIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle #6006 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1935. Near excellent, with 95% painted-finish (stoving) on metal. Bore is excellent and mirror-like, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful, bolt is bent, the knob of which is flattened and checkered on the bottom (looks as if the bolt-knob had been chrome-plated and is flaking), both bolt and buttstock match receiver (which is unusual for these) with cleaning-rod. Nice-looking light local-wood with some figure with original finish and very few handling-marks, "cal. 30-06" lightly scratched in wood on right side near receiver. Originally chambered in 7.65 Argentine, most of these rifles were officially rechambered for .30-06 after WWII to take advantage of the free ammo "Uncle Sugar" was handing out like candy. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $350. C&R
PERUVIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle #20703 (7.65x53) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1936. Very Good, with almost 80% bluing but much of it having turned brown. Bore is excellent and mirror-like, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful. Bolt is bent, the knob of which is flattened and checkered on the bottom. All-matching numbers (unusual for these), cleaning-rod is a makeshift affair. Nicely-figured dark local-wood (mahogany?) stock and handguard with some scrapes, dents and scratches from normal handling through the years. Some losses from right side of stock from some kind of tropical wood-borers (see PHOTO), easily patched. These scarce rifles have the unusual "backwards" safety (left for safe, right to fire). Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $250. C&R SOLD
POLISH Model 44 Mosin Nagant bolt-action carbines (7.62x54R) mfg. by Radom in 1952. These are in Near Excellent condition with nearly full bluing on the metal and really nice mirror-bores. Excellent condition with at least 98% bluing. All-matching numbers with an excellent near-mirror bore. RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #101099 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1928 as a Dragoon rifle and reconfigured to 91/30 specs by changing the front and rear sights. Near Excellent condition with at least 90% bluing. All-matching numbers (magazine-floorplate force-matched) with a very bright and strong bore that has a little crud in spots (will likely clean-up). Quite a few scuffs on wood, with a small arsenal-repair to left forend, but otherwise quite sound and attractive. Includes cleaning-rod. . . $125. C&R SOLD
RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #9663 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1931. Very Good condition with at least 60% bluing. All-matching numbers with an excellent, mirror-bright bore. RUSSIAN Model 91/30 ex-DRAGOON Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifles (7.62x54R), mfg. in the 1920's and later reconfigured to 91/30 specs by changing the front and rear sights. We have several varieties available. None have matching-bolts, all retain most of their external bluing and all have decent shootable bores. The wood on these is a bit scuffed-up with maybe a small arsenal-repair or two.
RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant EX PU SNIPER bolt-action rifle #ROO5184 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk arsenal in 1944 with round high-wall receiver, double-dated 1944/51 with MO marking (Ministry of Defense). Metal is excellent-plus, with 100% bluing and a near-perfect, mirror-bore. Mismatched straight bolt, however the buttplate and magazine-floorplate have been restamped to match the last four numbers of the receiver. Wood is a bit scuffed-up from careless handling, includes cleaning-rod. Scarce. . . $175. C&R SOLD
SWEDISH Model AG42B Ljungmann semiautomatic rifle #20363 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1943. Excellent condition with 98% or better bluing (painted finish on action-cover slightly chipped), all matching numbers and pristine mirror-perfect bore (bore-disk stamped 6.48/1). Wood has original finish and is really nice, having only a couple scuffs and a ding on left side by barrel-band. Handguard has very small crack at front. INCLUDES used bayonet, sling, cleaning and spare-parts kit, and spare 10-round Ljungmann magazine. . . $625. C&R SOLD
