    ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # E2866 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1894. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing, crest has been ground off top of receiver (as usual).  All numbered parts including cleaning rod matching receiver. Bore is excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has original finish with very few dings and handling marks considering its age. Not import-marked.     ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # A0101 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  An Argentine arsenal-rework in Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on all parts. Crest above chamber a bit weak, bolt numbered H4725 (not matching). Bore is strong and mostly bright. Walnut stock and handguard has a few handling-marks (mostly compressions).     AUSTRALIAN No.2 Mk.IV* bolt-action single-shot training rifle # C52980 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1941 as a No.1 Mk.III* rifle, and converted to .22 LR in 1952.   Excellent condition with full oil-blacked finish and quite bright and strong bore. No matching serial numbers except for left side of buttstock. Wood is lovely and was likely refinished when converted to .22 LR, includes really nice web-sling. Rare.     AUSTRALIAN No.2 Mk.IV* bolt-action single-shot training rifle # D7581 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1942 as a No.1 Mk.III* rifle, and converted to .22 LR in May, 1947.   Excellent condition with full oil-blacked finish and quite bright and strong bore. Bolt handle stamped 7581 (matching), left side of buttstock has very strong 6/47 dated cartouches. Wood is nicely preserved with only a few of the expected dings over the past 70+ years of service.     AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # E58832 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1943. Very Good condition with most oil-blacked finish. Nosecap matches receiver, bolt and rear sight does not. Bore is mirror bright and very strong.     BRAZIL Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 2339Pp (7x57) mfg. by DWM, Oberndorf in c.1914.   Very Good, with around 80% original bluing (receiver brilliantly in the white).  Bore is strong and somewhat bright, Brazilian crest is bold and attractive.  Bolt (and all bolt parts) not matching, all other numbered parts (and stock) stamped 2339.     BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # PF143734 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in October 1949  Very Good condition, most painted (stoving) finish on all metal parts chipped and worn at sharp edges with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 4-groove barrel. Matching bolt (no other parts are numbered) with 0-marked bolt head. Rear sight is the milled ladder variety, stock has many nicks, dings and scratches from actual use.  Includes correct web sling.     BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # A10131 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in 1955  Excellent-PLUS condition, all painted (stoving) finish on all metal parts in perfect condition, has an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 2-groove barrel. All matching serial numbers on all parts with 2-marked bolt head. Rear sight is the milled ladder variety.  Stock was smoothed and Bioled Linseed Oil (BLO) was applied by previous owner (as they did not like the sandpaper stock) and has a shiny sheen.     CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 1113865 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 296 in July 1954.  Excellent-PLUS condition with 98% bluing on all metal parts, bore is excellent and mirror bright. All matching serial numbers on every numbered part, buttstock has a few extremely minor scuffs and other handling-marks. Includes cleaning-rod. Not import marked, and in remarkable condition for these (they are usually mismatched and in fair to good condition at best). PHOTOS . . . $825.     C&R    SOLD

    GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1723 (11mm) mfg. by Spandau in 1888 with 31 1/2" barrel.  An restored Very Good example, bolt serial numbers not matching, but barrel bands, triggerguard and buttplate all stamped 23 (matching receiver and barrel).  Reportedly a working and functional prop for the movie "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise (2003). Not much remaining bluing on parts with receiver "in the white" but has a near perfect mirror-bright bore.  Buttstock has very clear cartouches. Only a few scuffs in the wood.    GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6743q (8x57) mfg. by Berliner-Lübecker Machinenfabrik (code duv) in 1942.  A bringback rifle in Excellent condition, with 95% or better original bluing and intact Nazi markings on left side of receiver and barrel-shank. Has all-milled parts (solid front band) all stamped 6743 to match receiver, but bolt (and all bolt parts) has various serial numbers. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Buttstock is laminated with cupped buttplate stamped brg. Includes original cleaning rod and capture-screws. Not import marked. PHOTO . . . $1250.     C&R     SOLD

    GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6956a (8x57mm) mfg. by Bystrica (code dou 44) in 1944.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with full rebluing (receiver slightly grainy). Nazi eagles with swastikas intact on barrel and receiver. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 6956 to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Laminated semi-krigsmodell buttstock has 6956 stamped on left side, no bayonet lug or provision for cleaning rod. Includes repro front sight-hood. PHOTO . . . $650.   C&R    

    HUNGARIAN Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # BF2560 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Budapest in 1953.  Excellent or better condition, with nearly perfect bluing (some rub-marks on left side of magazine assembly) and mirror-bore. All-matching numbers as-issued except for buttstock, which is from a Soviet M44. Some scrapes and scratches on wood from handling and storage with usual crappy shellac finish. Nice examples of this rifle have seriously dried-up over the last decade. PHOTOS . . . $475.     C&R 

    INDIAN Enfield No.2A1 bolt-action rifle # T3893 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1967. Excellent condition, with mostly full oil-blacked surfaces. Rear sight, magazine and nose-cap match receiver, bolt-handle does not. Bore is mirror bright and sharp. Stock has original finish with some contact marks but none of the usual arsenal repairs on butt, rear handguard has usual small dovetailed repairs, includes correct web-sling. NOT chambered for .308 Winchester ammo (no matter what anyone else tells you, don't shoot .308 in this rifle). PHOTOS  . . . $575.    C&R  

    INDIAN Enfield No.2A1 bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # R1388 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1967. Excellent-PLUS condition, with full oil-blacked surfaces. This is a cut-down rifle (by NAVY ARMS) as there were never any true "Jungle Carbines" produced by this manufacturer. Rear sight matches receiver, nothing else does. Bore is mirror bright and sharp. Stock has been nicely refinished and is quite attractive. NOT chambered for .308 Winchester ammo (no matter what anyone else tells you, don't attempt to shoot .308 in this carbine).     NORWEGIAN Model 98k rifle re-barrelled to .30-06 by the Norwegian Army after WWII # 72352. Excellent condition, made by Gustloff (code bcd) in 1943 with all original markings intact and very strong. Original serial number (7503c) on receiver lined-out by the Norwegians, with their new serial # (as well as the word HAER, Norwegian for Army) added to a flat ground into the left side of the receiver. The entire rifle except for the bolt matches the original serial number, the bolt body re-numbered .333 which doesn't match the Norwegian number. Nicely figured red phenolic resin stock with no Army cartouche on right side. Bluing is easily 99+%, the barrel mint, proper cleaning-rod present, as well as sight-hood.     PERUVIAN Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5392 (7.65x53) mfg. by Mauser in c. 1914.  Excellent condition, with 90% original bluing (receiver in the white as is proper for these). Bore is mirror-perfect, Peruvian crest is extremely bold and beautiful, and that roller-coaster rear sight works perfectly.  All matching serial numbers (including bolt handle, but not bolt parts), stock has some handling marks for over a Century of handling and storage (with large and bold MAUSER BANNER cartouche on right side). Includes cleaning-rod and correct leather sling.  Not import-marked (some European proofs), very rare to have matching bolt as they were stored separately PHOTOS . . . $1750.    C&R

    POLISH Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # AB28436 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Radom in 1953. UNISSUED, literally perfect mint condition, with perfect mirror bore. All-matching serial numbers (with letter prefix). These unissued carbines were all imported in 1995, and were quickly snatched up.     PORTUGUESE Model 1886 Kropatschek bolt-action infantry rifle # TT943 (8x60R Kropatschek) mfg. by Steyr in 1886.  Very Good or better condition with very strong and bright bore. Metal has much full bluing, bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered GG162. Completely functional with 8-shot tubular magazine and original cleaning-rod. Wood was apparently refinished very long ago with no visible cartouches remaining on wood with some of the inevitable handling-marks acquired over the past 134 years.     SOUTH AFRICAN Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 36C7109 (.303 British) mfg. at Savage in 1942  Excellent condition, nearly full stoving finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 2-groove barrel. Bolt is NOT matching with 1-marked bolt head. Bold South African stamp (arrow inside large U) above receiver, Canadian property mark (arrow in C) cartouche on bottom.     SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # IT2910 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 96% or better bluing on all metal parts. All matching STAMPED serial serial numbers (with letter prefixes, mag floorplate re-stamped to match). Bore is mirror-bright (has been counterbored at muzzle).     SOVIET Model 91/59 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # GI160 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent-PLUS arsenal refinished condition, with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All matching STAMPED serial serial numbers (with letter prefixes). Bore is mirror-bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle).     SPANISH Model 1921 Destroyer bolt-action carbine # 26557 (9x23 Largo) mfg. by Ayra Duria in 1957 (Eibar date-code C1). Very Good condition with 60-70% bluing throughout, magazine and triggerguard browned. Has a sharp mirror-bore, stock is straight  grip type with many scrapes, dings, and handling marks from actual use. Includes one 7-round magazine (more available). PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R     SOLD

    SWEDISH Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 328228 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1914 with matching bent-bolt and non-threaded muzzle. This is an Ex Model 41 SNIPER rifle whose AGA42 scope and mount has been removed, leaving mounting holes on left side of receiver.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (bore disk stamped 6.52/1).  All visible serial numbered parts matching except for barrel-bands (typical for Swedish snipers, though nobody knows why) and cleaning rod. Beech stock and handguard has some nicks and handling-marks from actual use.     SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 343526 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1915 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (having metal thread protector). Excellent condition, with 90% or better original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (no bore disk).  All visible serial numbered parts matching except for cleaning rod (as usual).     SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 387562 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1916 with straight-bolt and and threaded muzzle (having metal thread protector). Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (bore disk stamped 6.50/1).  All visible serial numbered parts matching (non-numbered cleaning rod). Walnut stock has many nicks, dings and handling-marks from actual use, with several dents on left side from contact with bolt-knobs of adjacent rifles when palletized. PHOTOS . . . $500.   C&R  

    SWEDISH Model 96/38 bolt-action Mauser short rifle # 333579 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1915 with straight bolt and non-threaded muzzle. Very Good or better condition, with 90%external bluing on receiver & barrel, small metal parts quite worn. Bore is strong but not very bright (disk stamped 6.51/3).  No matching serial numbers (bolt-knob and all bolt parts electropenciled 879). Rear sight is M96 type with 300 meter zero.     SWISS Model 1878 Vetterli bolt-action frontier carbine # 37893 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Cordier & Cie, Bellefontaine (Berne canton) in c.1871 as infantry rifles, and converted to carbine configuration c.1878-80. Very Good condition, all-matching serial numbers. All original case-hardened finish has turned to speckled brown color. Bore is extremely bright and strong. Wood is walnut with its original finish (crosshatched forend and cartouches clear) having a few of the expected handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod.     SWISS Model 96/11 Schmidt-Rubin long rifle # 304437 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1904. All-matching serial numbers including magazine.     YUGOSLAVIAN Model M95M Mannlicher straight-pull short rifle # 90558 (8x57mm), made by Steyr (undated).  Very Good condition, with 70% or so bluing and a mostly bright (if a little rough) bore. Bolt not matching, but left side of buttstock numbered 90558 (matching). Stock has many dings and handling marks, extractor works just fine, but internal magazine clip AWOL.
