ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # B0486 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% strong bluing on all parts (receiver in the white as it should be). Crest above chamber very bold, all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is strong and mirror-bright. Nicely-figured walnut stock and handguard has very few handling-marks (mostly compressions). Not import-marked, a gorgeous example of an original Argentine Mauser. PHOTOS . . . $575.   C&R  SOLD

ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action engineer carbine # A4303 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  An Argentine arsenal-rework in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing and black enamel on most parts. Crest above chamber slightly weak, all-matching numbers, missing cleaning-rod, bore is dirty. Nicely-figured walnut stock and handguard has very few handling-marks (mostly compressions). AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action rifle # 6416V (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917.  A long rifle in Very Good condition with 80% thinning bluing with mismatched parts that headspace correctly. Bore is sharp but not very bright, wood has a few scratches, scuffs and compressions from handling, diagonal crack on right side of forend. Not import-marked. PHOTO . . . $250.   C&R    SOLD

BRITISH Pattern 14 bolt-action rifle # 246702 (.303 British) mfg. by Remington in 1916.  Excellent condition, a nice example with a mirror-bright and strong bore. Number stamped on bottom of bolt handle does not match receiver. Has nice walnut stock that has original finish with very few handling-marks. PHOTOS  . . . $375.   C&R   SOLD

BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # AA471 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in April 1947. Excellent condition, with 90% intact military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. All matching numbers, with strong 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head.  Wood has very few handling marks.  PHOTOS . . . $425.   C&R   SOLD

CZECH Model VZ23 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 788N3 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in 1925.  Very Good PLUS overall, with 95% bluing and a strong but not very bright bore. Features short-lived arched factory address above chamber. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 9888 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Sestroryetsk in 1909 with Finnish [SA] property-marks on left side of barrel-shank. Near Excellent condition with most bluing remaining on metal parts but has some minor pitting on barrel-shank and receiver. Bore is very strong and somewhat bright (counterbored at muzzle), Czarist eagles intact on both barrel-shank and receiver.  Forced-matched bolt-body, mismatched magazine-floorplate, numbers scrubbed on buttplate. Includes cleaning-rod and Finn bolt-type sling-swivels. One-piece Russian stock has been inlet for unit-disc on right side. PHOTOS . . . $275.   C&R   SOLD

FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 13049 (7.62x54R), barrel mfg. at Tikka in 1940. Excellent metal with nearly full bluing, decent bore with strong rifling (if not terribly bright) counterbored at muzzle. Finn two-piece stock quite nice for these, has rear sling-swivel only, small gouge underneath forend. PHOTOS . . . $195.   C&R   SOLD

FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # S112335 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka on a 1900-dated Izhevesk receiver. Excellent-PLUS  condition with 98% original bluing. Bolt not matching. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, includes cleaning-rod and correct sling. Left side of barrel-shank has crossed-through # 20024.  One-piece stock has some handling-marks (mostly compressions from adjacent rifles) with a lighter colored handguard. FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 38776 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1934 by Sako on a 1916-dated Tula receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition with 98% original bluing. Bolt-knob matching, bore is excellent and mirror-bright, includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece stock has only a few minor handling-marks and scratches and 1940-dated Civil-Guard cartouche. FINN Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # KA3813 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Izhevsk in 1941.  Very Good condition with a nice and strong mostly-bright bore. Original configuration, with [SA] Finn capture markings in left side of barrel-shank and (two) [SA] stamps on magazine floorplate. Stock has original finish without any of the usual repairs. Receiver is *NOT* grooved for scope-mount, features 12-slotted muzzle-break. Includes cleaning-rod (missing cleaning-rod latch to hold it in) and 10-round magazine. PHOTOS . . . $750.    C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 4632o (8mm) mfg. by Mauser (factory code 42) in 1939 with 2" shorter barrel than usual.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in excellent condition, with 100% bluing, electropenciled parts and a solid-walnut stock with faint cartouches. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 6976o (8mm) mfg. by Sauer & Son (factory code 147) in 1939.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in excellent condition, with 100% bluing, electropenciled parts and an attractive laminated stock with faint cartouches. Bore is excellent and bright, swastikas on left side of receiver and barrel-shank small but intact. No cleaning-rod or locking-screws.  PHOTOS . . . $340.   C&R   SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 2507 (8mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1943 with DISTRICT NUMBER XI on top of receiver instead of factory code.  A rearsenaled Russian-capture in excellent condition, with 100% bluing, electropenciled parts and a somewhat beat-up laminated stock with faint cartouches. Bore is excellent and bright, very bold swastikas on left side of receiver and barrel-shank. Barrel has GECO monogram and WaA26 proof, receiver has WaA359 proof. ITALIAN Model 91 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action infantry rifle # O8906 (6.5x52) mfg. by Torino in 1893. Near Excellent condition, with Very Good strong bore. Stock is matching , stock and handguard has a few scuffs and dings with decent finish.   PHOTOS . . . $350.  Antique, no FFL required   

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action cavalry carbine # SS1716 (6.5x52) mfg. by Gardone in 1942. Very Good condition, with 80+% bluing and an excellent mirror-bore. Stock is not matching, wood has a few scuffs and dings with decent finish.   PHOTOS . . . $295.     C&R  

JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 24 # 53859 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1939. Excellent condition with full original bluing, intact mum.  Bolt is matching but bolt parts are not. This type has ladder v-type rear-sight with long cleaning-rod but no action-cover.  Bore is quite decent and bright, original unsanded finish on wood with a few expected handling-marks. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle # 0001566071 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1920. Excellent condition with full original bluing, mum has been ground. No matching parts, no cleaning-rod or action-cover.  Bore is quite decent and somewhat bright with strong rifling, original unsanded finish on wood with a few expected handling-marks. PERSIAN Model 98/29 Mauser bolt-action saddle-ring carbine # 26117 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in 1939.  Very Good overall, with strong bluing and a mirror-bright bore.  No matching numbers, decent stock and handguard. PERUVIAN Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 0055 (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1901.  Very Good overall, with 60% weak bluing and a excellent mirror-bright bore.  Features lange-vizer (rollercoaster) rear-sight, usual weak Peruvian crest (REPUBLICA PERUANA) atop chamber, unmarked bolt, decent stock and handguard that has a few dents but not been refinished. PORTUGUESE  Model 904/39  Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # A4935 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904.   Excellent condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber.  Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore. Wood has very few handling-marks, includes cleaning-rod and muzzle-cover.  Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, they were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII. PORTUGUESE Model 1937 bolt-action rifle # D1958 (8mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1937 with Nazi markings and bold Portuguese crest above chamber. An all-matching rifle except for the wood (off a Yugo 98k).  Near Excellent condition with 90% bluing, somewhat faded and browned on triggerguard and magazine-floorplate from carry. Bore is decent and mostly bright, swastikas on both sides of receiver and barrel-shank very bold. Includes cleaning-rod and muzzle-cover. Not import-marked, rare.  PHOTOS . . . $525.   C&R 

PORTUGUESE Model 1941 bolt-action rifle # H1401 (8mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1941 with Nazi markings and bold Portuguese crest above chamber. A 100% matching rifle including the stock.  Good to Very Good condition, with very little bluing remaining. Bore is decent and mostly bright, swastikas on left side of receiver and barrel-shank very bold. Includes cleaning-rod and front sight-hood. Stock shows evidence of hard use but is sound and has never been sanded. Not import-marked, scarce.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   C&R 

SIAMESE Model 1903 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 38023 (8x50), mfg. by Koishikawa Arsenal  in 1903 with straight-bolt.  Excellent condition, with 90% original bluing on all parts, some light pitting and browning on small parts. Includes sliding action-cover and cleaning rod. Bore is excellent with strong rifling, walnut stock and handguard has many scratches, dings and handling-marks but has never been subjected to sandpaper or other refinishing. SPANISH Model FR-7 Mauser bolt-action carbine # FR7-00744 (7.62 NATO), converted from Spanish Model 1916 short rifle.  Excellent condition, with 95% Parkerized finish and an excellent mirror-bore.  All-matching numbers, Walnut stock and handguard has some of the expected handling-marks but is very lovely. SWEDISH Model 96/38 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 137173 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1903 with straight-bolt.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% original bluing on all parts. Has somewhat weak crest but a very bright and strong bore (bore-disc indicating 6.48/0).  Matching bolt (and all bolt-parts) other parts mismatched or not numbered. Beech stock & handguard seems to have its original finish, with only a few handling-marks and scratches. Rear sight of the T-type (150-meter zero). PHOTOS . . . $325.   C&R  SOLD

SWISS Model 96/11 Schmidt-Rubin infantry rifle # 279099 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1901. All-matching numbers including magazine.  Very Good condition with much faded original bluing (some wear from carry on magazine-floorplate) and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  Walnut stock and handguard appears to have original finish with some of the expected handling-marks, top of stock (near buttplate) stamped SOLOTHURN (one of the Swiss cantons).  Not import-marked.  PHOTO  . . . $395. SWISS Model K-11 Schmidt-Rubin carbine # 92223 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1920. Very Good condition with full original bluing on top metal, much bluing faded and/or browned on triggerguard, magazine-floorplate and barrel-bands from carry and actual use. All matching numbers and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  Tigerstriped walnut stock and handguard appears to have original finish. Bakelite bolt-knob slightly chipped at top and bottom. SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 231576 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1954. Excellent condition with 90% original bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. All-matching numbers including magazine. Wood is gorgeously figured streaked tigerstripe walnut and retains its original finish with less than the usual number of handling-marks, end of stock stamped X 44 beneath buttplate.  PHOTO  . . . $250.  C&R   SOLD
