U.S.A. Model 1896 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action infantry rifle # 41573 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in September, 1896. Very Good  PLUS condition with most bluing on all metal parts except receiver and bolt and retains 1896-pattern rear sight (most were updated after 1898). Has very strong and bright 4-groove bore. Walnut stock has faint (but clear) boxed JSA 1897 cartouche on left side. Not import-marked, a quite SCARCE example which undoubtedly served in the Spanish-American War in subsequent conflicts around the turn of the Century. U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action infantry rifle # 404349 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in August, 1902. Very Good condition with mottled thin bluing on all metal parts. Has an excellent mirror-bright 4-groove bore, with late 1901 type rear sight. Walnut stock has weak but clear boxed JSA 1898 cartouche on left side and a very few handling marks. U.S.A. Model 1899 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action carbine # 291611 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in November, 1900.  This is a true all-correct Krag carbine in Near Excellent or better condition with most bluing intact. Has 22" barrel with a very strong if not too bright 4-groove bore. Nice stock has clear JSA 1899 cartouche (overstruck by undated JSA cartouche) on left side, rear sight correct with "C" marking. U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 707921 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Arsenal in October 1917 with original SA 10-17 dated barrel.  Excellent or better original condition with most external Parkerized finish remaining, bore is strong and mostly bright (TE =1.0, ME = 2.5). Walnut stock has faint SA - DAL cartouche on left side, and moderate handling marks. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 1427267 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1934 with original SA 1-33 dated barrel.   Excellent or better condition with all external bluing remaining.  This rifle is EXACTLY as it was received from the CMP in December 2002, still liberally coated with cosmoline and has not been cleaned. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3213963 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in August 1942 with RA 8-42 dated barrel.  Excellent or better condition with all external bluing remaining.  This rifle is EXACTLY as it was received from the CMP in 2003, still liberally coated with cosmoline and has not been cleaned. Walnut stock has 3963 stamped on right side (matching receiver) with few other handling marks (looks nearly new, if considerably greasy).  Not import-marked, a CMP rifle from nearly fifteen years ago whose certificate has been misplaced.  PHOTOS . . . $950.    C&R    SOLD

Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3177092 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in July 1942 with RA 7-42 dated barrel.  Excellent or better condition with all external bluing remaining, bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (TE =3.5, ME = 1.0). Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3768791 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Remington in April, 1943 with RA 4-43 barrel.  Near Excellent condition with 90% full Parkerizing on all metal except on end of barrel (likely from over-zealous cleaning). Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 2.5, MW = 1.75).  Walnut stock has faint FJA and ordnance-wheel cartouches with virtually zero handling marks.  PHOTOS . . . $1250.    C&R 

U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3959048 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in August, 1943. Excellent-PLUS condition with 100% gray Parkerizing on all metal. A gorgeous example with near-perfect RA / 8-43 dated 2-groove bore (TE=1.5, MW = 0.25).  Walnut stock has very deep FJA, RA and ordnance-wheel cartouches, and entire rifle appears as-issued. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 4720874 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Smith-Corona in June, 1943 with SC 6-43 barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong, gauges TE = 2.0, MW = 0.75. U.S.A. Model 1917 bolt-action rifle # 431016 (.30-06) made by Winchester in February 1918. Excellent condition, with nearly full bluing remaining on all external metal. Bore is mirror bright and very strong, completely functional and very high quality for these. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $1050.    C&R    SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 468366 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in February, 1942 with SA 12-41 original barrel.  An all original and correct BRITISH LEND-LEASE example in Excellent-PLUS condition with full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and strong (TE = 1.0, ME = 1.0). All parts are correct for this serial range, including uncut -3SA operating rod, -2SA bolt, grooved and milled handguard retaining ring, flush nut rear sights, and it even retains the front sight seal.  Walnut stock is boldly marked SA / GHS with a larger version of the ordnance wheel. Stock has a chip out of the base of the pistol grip on the right side. This is noticeable but not a major fault. A previous owner has electro penciled his name on the right side of the barrel beneath the British proofs (only visible when the slide is retracted).  This rifle has been carefully checked for signs of salvage or refurb (none found), and is exceedingly scarce and in very high demand.  There are very few as-issued early wartime M1 Garands remaining (especially as pristine as this one is).  Not import marked. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 3586724 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in March, 1945 with original SA 3-45 barrel.   Excellent condition with full light gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and quite strong and very tight (TE = 1.50, MW = 0.85) and all-correct WWII-era SA-marked parts with uncut op-rod and lock-bar rear sights. Walnut stock and handguard has very few handling marks with a subtle tiger-striped figure and a clean SA / NFR cartouche. Not import-marked, overall a very exceptional example of a WWII Garand. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 4392424 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1953 with SA 12-53 barrel.  An all-correct  (as it left the factory) Korean War era Garand in Excellent condition with full light gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong (TE = 4.75, MW = 4.25). Walnut stock and handguard has weak eagle / stars ordnance cartouche and quite a few scratches and other handling marks from actual use. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5365715 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in June, 1954 with SA 6-54 barrel.  An all-correct  Korean War era Garand in Excellent condition with full light gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong (TE = 3.0, MW = 3.0). Walnut stock and handguard is very attractive with bold eagle / stars ordnance cartouche and minimal scratches or other handling marks. This serial number block is fairly desirable to Garand collectors as it is somewhat difficult to find.  Not import-marked, includes CMP certificate of authenticity and data-sheet. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 4697431 (.30-06) mfg. by Harrington & Richardson in 1954 with HRA 1-54 barrel.  An all-correct example of one of the very first H&R Garands manufactured.  Excellent condition with nearly full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having a bright if a bit worn bore (TE = 4.0, MW = 3.5). A decent all-correct CMP Garand with all HRA-marked parts. Has walnut buttstock with DOD (stars over eagle) cartouche on left side and a few dings, scratches and handling marks. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5743448 (.30-06) mfg. by Harrington & Richardson in 1955 with LMR 8-55 barrel.  An all-correct example of one of the very last H&R Garands manufactured.  Excellent condition with nearly full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having a bright if a bit worn bore (TE = 4.0, MW = 6.0). A decent all-correct CMP Garand with HRA-marked parts. Has walnut buttstock with weak DOD (stars over eagle) cartouche on left side and the expected dings, scratches and handling marks. U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine semiautomatic rifle # 6317576 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland in Late 1944 with 8-44 dated  Underwood barrel.  Excellent condition, metal has full Parkerized finish with a mirror bright bore and with 0.5 muzzle-wear. Has flat-topped bolt, flip-type safety, M-marked magazine release, and early front band without bayonet-lug. Walnut stock and handguard has minimal handling marks, deeply stamped ordnance-wheel on right side, BR-B stamped in sling recess (indicating I.B.M. manufacture). Includes 15-round magazine (only where legal).  An exceptional example, not import-marked, sourced from DCM long ago.  No paperwork but includes treated U.S. military fabric bag that carbine was stored in (stenciled with rifle type and serial number of this rifle).   PHOTOS . . . $1250.    C&R   SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine # 6508074 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Winchester in Early 1945 with all late features (round bolt, lever safety and M-marked magazine release).  Excellent condition with 95% phosphate finish, barrel marked with W with a gorgeous strong, mirror-bright bore and tight muzzle (ME = 1.0).  Has high-wood stock with very few handling marks, includes one 15-round magazine (only where legal) and sling with oiler. U.S.A. Model 42 MB(a) bolt-action training rifle # 25778 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Mossberg in 1942.  Excellent condition, with one 7-round magazine. Rear sight is the scarce Parker-Hale 160 peep. Model 44US(d) bolt-action training rifle (no serial number), .22 Long Rifle caliber,  mfg. by Mossberg in 1940.  Very Good condition, some scattered light rust on barrel (mostly removed) with one 7-round magazine.
