SWEDISH Model 1907 Browning semiautomatic pistol (.380 ACP) #72538 mfg. in late 1930's by Husqvarna. All-matching numbers, excellent condition with very slight holster-wear on slide, has an apparently perfect bore and extremely smooth functioning. Rechambered from the original 9mm Browning Long caliber by Interarms when Imported in the early 1960's, includes two original magazines (which do not feed the .380 round too well) and two modified Makarov magazines that my clever gunsmith fabricated (which feed the .380 rounds perfectly, but must have the hold-open lever removed in order to work). Also includes original pebbled leather holster. Only clue to being imported is CAL .380 stamp on left side of slide. . . $325. C&R

BRAZIL Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle #6262Pp (7x57) mfg. by DWM, Oberndorf (aka Mauser) in 1914. Very Good, with almost 90% original bluing (receiver in the white as is proper for these, bluing on magazine-floorplate and triggerguard weak from carry). Bore is strong and very bright, Brazilian crest is quite bold, some light pitting at the wood-line. Bolt is mismatched but is proper type for this rifle and headspaces properly, complete with cleaning-rod. Medium-brown walnut stock retains its original finish (intact cartouche on right side) but also shows every scrape, scratch and ding that it encountered during its long service. A good candidate for a refinishing project. These are unfailingly great shooters and the Oberndorf-produced 1908's are very seldom encountered. PHOTOS . . . $225. C&R SOLD

Stock and handguard are excellent, with D.R.P. 602365 circular cartouche on left side. Has repaired duffel-bag cut under rear barrel-band from capture during WWII. Very rarely offered, not import-marked. PHOTO . . . $875. C&R ON HOLD
GERMAN Model Gewher 88/14 bolt-action rifle #356o (8x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1890. A much better than usually-encountered example in Very Good Plus condition with full bluing (though some of it has browned over the years), a few dents and dings in the barrel-jacket (as usual). This rifle is totally mismatched (like all other 88/14's I have seen) but it has no signs of having been "Turked". Chamber stamped with S, with the bore surprisingly mirror-bright and very strong. Bolt will almost (but not quite) close on a field gauge (but this type of rifle isn't really a "shooter" anyway). There are no less than THREE Regimental markings on this rifle: 22.R.8.190 appears on the left receiver-rail, 30.R.9.240 is stamped on the left side of the front-band, and 78.R.R.3.208 is stamped on the right side of the rear barrel-band.
