RIFLES

BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.2 bolt-action rifle # PF316702 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in January 1954.  Unissued, in perfect condition (was a "mummy-wrapped" example from a decade ago that has been nicely cleaned of all original cosmoline). Perfect mirror-bore. metal and wood. All-matching numbers, complete with correct (non-numbered) No.9 blade bayonet and correct military sling. Wood is beech with much "flash" in the grain. . . likely the nicest example of the many hundreds we have owned.  PHOTOS . . . $595.   C&R   SOLD

HUNGARIAN Model 1895 straight-pull Mannlicher carbine # 3378 (8x56R) mfg. by F.E.G. Budapest in c.1914.  Good condition, very little bluing remaining on external metal, large H stamped above chamber. All-matching numbers (receiver has been stamped to match), bore surprisingly bright and strong. Walnut stock has been stripped of its finish and has some old digs along with some nice figure, handguard has tigerstriping. Totally functional.  PHOTOS . . . $75.   C&R  SOLD

HUNGARIAN Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # BF7219 (7.62x54R) mfg. at F.E.G. in 1953.  Very Good condition, has seen some use but has excellent bore. All-matching numbers except bolt (which is BF7224), all parts marked with 02 arsenal-code, a few minor scrapes and scratches on wood from handling and storage.  Includes sling and cleaning-rod. RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 74740 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Izhevsk in 1934 with hexagonal receiver.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% bluing and near-perfect mirror-bore. Serial numbers on all parts stamped and matching. A VERY attractive refurbed example with nearly perfect wood and correct sling and cleaning-rod.  PHOTOS . . . $95.   C&R    SOLD

SWEDISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 635056 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent-bolt.  Excellent PLUS condition, with 99+% original bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-perfect bore (bore-disc indicating 6.48/0).  Rear sight is T type (150-600 meters). All-matching numbers, Beech stock & handguard looks like-new with just a couple of very minor handling-marks. PHOTOS . . . $575.   C&R   SOLD

SWISS Model K31 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull bolt-action short-rifle # 595710 (7.5x55), mfg. in 1939.  Near Excellent condition, with 80% original bluing on all parts. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 1959/66 A1 SKS semiautomatic rifle # B-718289 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Zastava in 1988.  Very Good condition, with 60% bluing, very bright and strong bore and all-matching numbers with integral non-ported grenade-launcher and night-sights. Wood is beech and shows some wear from actual use, with crude trench-art type Bosnian coat of arms carved into the right side consisting of fleur-de-lis on shield in front of crossed swords with legend ARMIJA BIH (Armija Bosne i Herzegovine). This is the unit that was involved in the 1995 conflict at Srebrenica. U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine # 639668 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland Div. of General Motors in Mid 1943.  Very Good condition with 75% phosphate metal surfaces, barrel marked SA 1-52. Model M1 Carbine # 1369459 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Underwood in January 1944.  Excellent condition with 95% phosphate finish, flat-topped bolt in the white, barrel marked UNDERWOOD 12-43 with a near-perfect mirror-bore. Has walnut M2 stock with solid-topped handguard. Earliest front-band has no bayonet-lug. Includes three 15-round magazines (only where legal). U.S.A. Model 340 bolt-action sporting rifle (.30-.30) mfg. by Savage in c.1965.  Excellent PLUS condition, near as-new with nearly perfect bluing and a perfect mirror-bore. Has detachable magazine that holds three rounds. Walnut stock has very sharp cup checkering at forend and grip as well as sling-swivels.
