    ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action cavalry carbine # A4790 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1893. Very Good condition, with 80% original bluing and a weak but clear national crest above chamber. All matching serial numbers including stock, bore is somewhat bright with very strong rifling. Stock has large arsenal repair at toe with some of the expected  handling marks after 125 years.  PHOTOS . . . $475.     Antique, no FFL required 

    AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action steutzer carbine # 3353D (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917. Excellent-PLUS condition, arsenal refinished with full bluing. Bore is very strong and extremely bright, barrel numbered 955T, remainder of numbered parts numbered 3353 to match receiver. Wood has a few of the usual handling-marks.     BRITISH Martini-Henry Mark IV long-lever single-shot rifle # E8688 (.577/450) mfg. by Enfield in 1887. Near Excellent condition with most external finish remaining. All original (not a Khyber-pass copy) and functional with a mirror-bright bore that has very strong rifling. Rear sight has been modified and fixed at 200 meters. Original stock sound with a few thin cracks and an arsenal-repair at heel. Includes cleaning rod. PHOTOS . . . $850.    Antique, no FFL required     SOLD

    BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # BE7260 (.303 British) mfg. at BSA Shirley in 1945. Very Good  or so condition, with somewhat browned external finish. Mismatched bolt and magazine, underside of forend renumber4ed to match. Has very strong and bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head.     BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.I bolt-action rifle # AX19861 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby arsenal in 1943.  Very Good or better condition, with most bluing remaining on metal. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Bolt numbered 19861 (matching) as is forend of stock. Stock is sound, with Ishapore screw through left side. Not import marked. PHOTO . . . $440.    C&R    SOLD

    CHILEAN Model 1912-61 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # C6571 (arsenal rechambered to 7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Steyr in 1912. Good condition, with very little remaining bluing (receiver "in the white" as is proper), and a very strong mirror-bright bore. Bolt not matching, else  matching serial numbers, much arsenal grease still present. Wood has sharp 1912-dated Chilean cartouche and a TON of handling-narks (could use a good refinishing to look pretty), missing cleaning-rod and rear (detachable) sling swivel.     GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 7003s (8x57mm) mfg. by Danzig in 1915 with 1920 date at top of receiver. Very Good condition, metal has most bluing remaining.  No matching serial numbers, rear sight is of the upgraded flat tangent type.  Has a very strong and somewhat bright bore, missing cleaning rod.     JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 21 # 21572 (7.7x58) mfg. at Kokura in mid-1942. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt and bolt parts numbered 649 (NOT matching), mum heavily ground. This type has ladder peep rear sight, missing aircraft wings, monopod-type rear barrel-band (without monopod) and inverted V front sight with guards. Missing cleaning rod, bore is chrome-lined and mirror-bright. Stock and handguard has original finish with some of the expected handling marks. PHOTO . . . $325.    C&R    

    JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 30, # 50793 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in c.1941. Excellent condition with full original bluing, all matching serial numbers,  mum heavily ground. This type has ladder rear sight without anti-aircraft wings, provision for monopod (missing) and plum-shaped bolt handle with checkered safety knob. Cleaning rod is missing, wood has original finish and has never been sanded. Chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Not import-marked.. PHOTO . . . $400.    C&R 

    PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # B2783 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Very Good condition with all-matching serial numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore, includes cleaning-rod. Stock has some handling marks. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.     SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # FH2514 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1945. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). All matching serial numbers (electropenciled on small parts). Has beautiful laminated M44 stock with almost zero handling marks. Includes cleaning rod.  PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R     SOLD

    SOVIET Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine with attached spike bayonet # FV2399 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1946. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Bolt not matching, remainder of numbered parts stamped matching including letter prefixes. Stock has quite a few handling marks from storage but not use.     SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # LX1126 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1942 on a round receiver. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts stamped matching (less letter-prefixes).     SPANISH Model 1893 long rifle # 2R9016 (7x57mm) made by Oviedo in 1925. Excellent condition, with 96% or better original blued finish. All matching serial numbers (the bolt handle and stock numbered 9016 only). Bore is very bright and strong.     SPANISH Model 1916 bolt-action short rifle # P8087 (7x57) mfg. by Oviedo in 1926 with "roller-coaster" type tangent rear sight. Excellent condition with wear only to magazine floorplate and triggerguard from carry. Has a somewhat frosted but bright bore, bent bolt not matching, but all other numbered parts except cleaning rod (including stock) numbered P8087 to match receiver. Wood has very few handling marks.     SWEDISH Model 38B bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 648243 (6.5x55) mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent bolt and threaded muzzle (includes metal muzzle-cap).  Excellent condition, about 95% external bluing on all metal. Has mirror-bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.51/2), all-matching serial numbers except for cleaning rod (as usual). Beech stock and handguard has been expertly stained and refinished in the Weatherby style, with very glossy surfaces (and is quite lovely, though not correct for a military rifle).     SWISS Model 1869/71 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 35374 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Cordier & Cie, Bellefontaine (Berne canton) in c.1871. Very Good condition, all-matching numbers. All original case-hardened finish has turned to speckled brown color. Bore is extremely bright and strong. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having a few of the expected handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod.     TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 8486 (8x57) rearsenaled by Ankara arsenal in 1945 with bent bolt having bottom of bolt knob flattened. Excellent condition, with all bluing remaining on all external metal.. Rear sight serial numbered to match receiver, nothing else does (as usual).     U.S.A. Model M1-D SNIPER Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1116966 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in January 1943 with SA 9-52 barrel.  A genuine M1-D sniper in Excellent-PLUS (literally UNISSUED) condition with full gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having an exceptionally tight very bright bore (TE = 2.0, MW = 0.5).  Birch buttstock is pristine with RA (Raritan Arsenal) and SA in box cartouches on left side. M84 scope has extremely bright and clear (literally perfect) optics. One of the few M1-D Garands sold via a lottery by the CMP over two decades ago (in 1997), includes CMP bill of sale and original shipping box and complete accessories (sling, cleaning kit, canvas scope cover, lots of other stuff) that originally came with it.     YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # F5376 (8mm) mfg. by Nazi arsenals during WWII and refurbished by Zastava in c.1950.  Good or so condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 50% weak and worn bluing on the metal surfaces and a dark bore with pronounced rifling. Very bold Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. Mismatched (but correct) bolt, with all milled small parts.
