GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3747 (11mm) mfg. by Spandfau in 1888 with 31 1/2" barrel.  An original Excellent-PLUS example, all-matching numbers, full strong bluing with receiver "in the white" and a perfect mirror-bright bore, only barrel-bands show any light wear.  Buttplate has no unit-marking. Buttstock has original finish with razor-sharp cartouches. Only a few dings or bumps in the wood and essentially AS ISSUED. PHOTOS . . . $1250.     Antique, no FFL required 

GERMAN Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3906 (8x57mm), mfg. by Danzig in 1903. A refurbished rifle (including updated S/42G marked tangent rear sights) in excellent condition with all matching serial numbers except for front band (bolt has been force-matched), bore is strong and very bright. Weimar markings on right side of receiver clear, includes cleaning rod. Stock was sanded long ago, with bold SPANISH CIVIL WAR (flaming bomb containing MP over 8) cartouche stamped on right side. GERMAN Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8170g (8x57mm), mfg. by Mauser in 1917. A 97 year-old WWI rifle in Good to Very Good condition with all matching serial numbers except for scrubbed bolt, bore is strong and very bright. Weimar markings clear, includes cleaning rod with functional rear sight. Stock does not appear to have been sanded with cartouches on right side quite clear. Has small Navy Arms import marks on receiver noting CAL 8MM TURKEY but there is no Turkish markings at all on this rifle.   PHOTO . . . $750.    C&R    

GERMAN Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1186c (8x57mm), mfg. by Mauser in 1918. A 96 year-old WWI rifle in Very Good or condition with no matching serial numbers, Turkish crescent above markings atop chamber. Bore is strong and very bright, Weimar markings clear, includes cleaning rod with functional rear sight. Stock was sanded long ago (very faint cartouches) and has some scrapes but is sound. GERMAN Kar. 98 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 3616 (8x57mm), mfg. by Danzig in 1908.  Very Good or condition with no matching serial numbers (bolt and receiver have been force-matched to each other). Bolt has bent-down handle and knob has been flattened and checkered on the bottom. Bore is strong and very bright, Weimar markings on right side clear. Stock has very sharp cartouches on right side. GERMAN Kar. 98 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 3726cc (8x57mm), mfg. by Erfurt in 1918.  Excellent refurbished condition with matching bolt, triggerguard and magazine floorplate, remaining parts mismatched. Bolt has bent-down handle and knob has been flattened and checkered on the bottom. Bore is strong and very bright, Weimar markings on both sides clear. GERMAN Standard Modell Mauser bolt-action rifle # 55680 (8x57mm), mfg. by Mauser in 1933 with MAUSER BANNER atop chamber. A Russian reworked 98k in Excellent condition with all-milled parts and a flat buttplate, bent bolt is from another RC rifle and does not match. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright. GERMAN Model 29/40 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7458b (8x57mm), originally a POLISH rifle mfg. by Radom in 1939 (large Polish eagle stamped atop chamber) later Nazified to 98k standards. A "bringback" 98k with all-milled parts stamped matching receiver EXCEPT bolt (all parts of which match itself). Bore is very sharp and quite bright. Has bold Nazi eagle / swastikas and other Nazi markings. Good to Very Good condition overall. Attractive laminated buttstock has bold KRIEGSMARINE (Navy) cartouche (eagle / M) as well as several WaA623 stamps on right side, a few scuffs in finish with a flat buttplate. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3501 (8x57mm), mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code 660 40) in 1940. A Russian reworked 98k in Excellent condition with all-milled parts and a flat buttplate. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright. Serial number on left side of the receiver was buffed-off (likely due to duplication) and 3510 stamped by hand above markings on top of receiver. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # H2619 (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser  Oberndorf in 1941 for PORTUGAL (virtually none of these were actually delivered to neutral Portugal, but were instead utilized by the German Luftwaffe in WWII).  A Russian capture 98k  with stamped rear band and cupped buttplate. Bore is very sharp and bright. Has large Portuguese crest atop chamber and large and bold Nazi eagle / swastika on left side and other Nazi markings. External metal has full bluing and looks very nice. Laminated stock has some Russian shellac and a few handling-marks. No cleaning rod (nice repro rods available for $12.00 each). Very attractive. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright. Has bold Nazi eagle / swastikas and other Nazi markings. Very Good condition overall, laminated stock has nicely repaired duffle-bag cut on forend under rear band and a few handling-marks, cupped buttplate stamped brg 41. No cleaning rod (nice repro rods available for $12.00 each), but includes original German leather sling and front sight hood as well as receiver locking-screws. Very attractive, not import marked. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright. Nazi eagles are tiny (as usual on Sauer-made rifles) but clear. External metal has full bluing, some pinprick porosity on receiver. Laminated stock has no finish and a few handling-marks, handguard has rectangular arsenal-repair on top. No cleaning rod (nice repro rods available from us for $12.00 each). GERMAN Model 98k Mauser DUAL-CODE bolt-action rifle # 2445 (8x57mm) mfg. by Gustloff Werke & Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bcd/bnz 4) in 1944.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% rebluing and intact weakly struck Nazi eagle on barrel. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 2445 to match receiver, barrel has bnz / 1 in shield. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Nazi eagles with swastikas intact on barrel and receiver. Has all-milled parts electro-penciled 9075 to match receiver. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Laminated buttstock is a replacement from a Yugoslavian 98k, and has a long thin crack at bottom of forend. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3992a (7.62 NATO) mfg. by Brno in late 1945. Very Good condition, most of the original finish remaining, with browned stamped winter trigger-guard and barrel-bands (the rear one stamped). Excellent mirror-bore, with FN-produced postwar bolt (# 672260). Small Israeli Star of David stamp on left side by serial #. Beech stock has some heavy dings and a repaired crack on right side, 7.62 deeply stamped at bottom of buttstock and at top of receiver, no cleaning-rod or front sight-hood, includes worn leather sling with keeper.  PHOTO . . . $450.   C&R   SOLD

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # Š3814 (8x57mm) mfg. during WWII and refurbished the Yugoslavians after the war ended. Has all stamped parts, original Nazi markings have been scrubbed and replaced by Yugo markings. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright, bolt does not match anything. External metal has full bluing.
