HANDGUNS

CZECH Model CZ-27 semiautomatic pistol; # 67372 (.32 ACP), mfg. at "Bohemian Arms Factory" in early 1942 under Nazi occupation.  Excellent condition, with at least 98% original bluing and a high-polish finish, all markings and Waffenampts sharp and clear, mostly intact "straw" on unblued parts. All matching numbers with near-perfect mirror-bright bore. Ex Norwegian Police, with a flat ground in the left side of the slide stamped POLITI with Norwegian crest and property No.3134 (same number stamped on left side of frame). Top right corner of grip missing (these bakelite grips are easily cracked), else as nice an example of a CZ-27 I believe I have ever seen. PHOTO. . . $425.   C&R

FRENCH Model 1892 Lebel revolver #G94335 (8mm Lebel), mfg. at St. Etienne in 1902.  A very handsome example in excellent condition, with at least 95% original bluing (slight wear only at edges) and lots of "straw" on case-hardened parts. All markings very bold with near-perfect mirror bore. See PHOTO.  Comes with rare brown-leather clamshell holster (see PHOTO) with ammo-pouch containing 12 loaded rounds 8mm Lebel ammo (all dated 1907-1910). . . $450.   C&R

GERMAN Model 1896 "Bolo" Broomhandle semiautomatic pistol #589742 (7.63mm), mfg. at Mauser factory circa 1925. Good condition externally, with some pitting from being "holstered wet", but has all-matching numbers (externally, anyway... I'm not about to disassemble it) and a surprisingly excellent bright bore with strong lands and grooves.  All original markings sharp and clear, this appears to be a pistol that was carried much and shot very little (should be an excellent shooter). Not import-marked.   PHOTO. . . $425.   C&R   SOLD

POLISH Model P-35 VIS semiautomatic pistol #M9554 (9mm), mfg. at Radom factory circa 1942 under Nazi occupation. A lovely example of the second variation (all levers present, no stock-slot, P.35(p) stamped on slide) in Excellent-plus condition with all-matching numbers, a gorgeous mirror bore, and full Bulgarian postwar reblue.   PHOTO. . . $425.   C&R   SOLD

RIFLES

ARGENTINE Model 1909 bolt-action infantry rifle #P5200 (7.65x54) mfg. by DWM in c. early 1914. Excellent-plus, virtually unissued with receiver "in the white" as is proper, all-matching numbers including cleaning-rod. 98% bluing with a perfect mirror bore. Stock has original finish and aside from some small dents and handling-marks is perfect as-issued. Not import-marked.  One of the most gorgeous Mauser rifles I have encountered in several years (everyone who picks up this rifle has the same word pop right out of their mouth: "Wow!") . . . $750. C&R    SOLD

BRAZIL Model 08/34 .30 Mauser bolt-action short rifle #6308 (.30-06) mfg. by Itajuba (now IMBEL) in Brazil c.1936. Excellent condition, with 98% original blue, all matching numbers (even the stock), with a gorgeous mirror-bore and bent-bolt. Bold Brazilian crest on top of receiver, cleaning-rod present. Stock and handguard made of local wood resembling maple, with lots of deep figure across the grain.  Wood has original finish and only a few bumps and dings from handling and storage (most on the underside of the forend). . . $275.  C&R    SOLD

BRAZIL Model Mq S/Aut. .30 M954 Walther semiautomatic rifle # A43 (.30-06) mfg. by Itajuba (now IMBEL) in Brazil c.1954. This is a rather faithful copy of the Walther G-43 rifle of WWII, in excellent condition, with nearly full light-gray phosphate finish and a gorgeous mirror-bore. Receiver and bolt-carrier are sand-castings as in the original Walther model, but it has a cutoff-switch for the gas system on the forend and the muzzle is threaded for a grenade-launcher.  The wood retains its original finish with some scrapes and one dent, cleaning-rod is present, looks like it uses BAR magazines.  This is one of the most unusual military rifles I have ever come across and cannot find it listed in any reference at my disposalPHOTOS . . . $2500.  not C&R

CANADIAN Model C No.4 Mk.I* bolt-action rifle (.303) #91L5467 mfg. at Long Branch in 1949. A very attractive example, with matching-bolt and all-correct parts. Excellent condition, with a near-perfect mirror six-groove barrel (originally made for a Bren machinegun) and most of original bluing intact except mag (which is browned). Wood has original finish and very few handling-marks. Rear sight is the CMk.3 ladder-type. Bolt has a 2-marked bolt-head and headspace is excellent. The No.4 rifle was made 1941-45 in Canada and once again in 1949-1950.  1949-dated examples are quite rare, with reportedly less than a thousand produced. . .$275. C&R   SOLD

CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle #F3682 (7x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent, with 98% bluing, all-matching numbers (except cleaning-rod #K5832), Chilean crest above chamber really bold. Excellent shiny bore, original walnut stock (1895-dated cartouche) and matching handguard with typical numerous light handling-marks but original finish and sling. . . $275. CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic rifle #1755602 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 316 in 1957.  Excellent condition, with very little bluing-wear, a near-perfect bore and some scuffs on the wood.  All matching numbers, with sling, cleaning-rod and cleaning-kit (in the buttrap) but no bayonet (bayonet-attachment is present). . . $195.   not C&R

CZECH Model vz52 semiautomatic rifle #G65989 (7.62x45) mfg. by Ceska Zbrovka in 1956 (code she). This rifle has seen considerable use, with only about 40% of external finish remaining.  Bore is surprisingly razor-sharp and mirror-bright (they are usually cruddy on these) and rifle is totally functional. Complete except for front sight-hood (which seldom is present). Wood is a bit beat-up but there are no cracks except for two very small ones at the rear of the handguard. . . $275. C&R

EGYPTIAN Model "Hakim" semiautomatic Ljungmann rifle #47609 (8x57), mfg. by Maadi in 1966. Excellent condition, with nearly 100% external bluing and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  Buttstock and handguard have not been refinished like so many "nicer" ones I've seen, and retain original reddish tone.  Numerous light-handling marks, scrapes and dents in wood, but nothing that is ugly-looking or keeps the wood from being sound. . . $375. C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #66707 (7.62x54R), barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1944 with round receiver.  Excellent Plus condition, with near 100% strong bluing throughout.  Bolt mismatched (blued and slightly corroded), but bore is mirror-perfect and original arsenal-tag (with bore marked 7.60/0) accompanies rifle.  Russian one-piece buttstock has nice figure with a few scratches and scrapes from rough handling while in storage. Includes cleaning-rod. . . $175.   C&R

GERMAN Model Gewher 98 bolt-action rifle #4156 (8x57JS) mfg. by Amberg  arsenal in 1918, with Reichswehr date of 1920 stamped above it.  This is a rifle that was reworked by Spain for the  Spanish Civil War, with MP over 8 in flaming-bomb cartouche on right side of stock. Excellent condition, really nice-looking with 100% bluing on the blued parts, the receiver "in the white", all original markings and proofs clear except for atop the chamber (which is weak but legible), nice "lange" roller-coaster rear-sight.  Bore is strong but a little dark in the grooves (would likely clean to better).   Most numbers match receiver (bolt marked 4156n).  Buttstock and handguard are made of a lovely light walnut (with aforementioned cartouche) in excellent condition with only a few light handling-marks. Includes original Gew.98 sling and cleaning-rod (which will not lock into place).  Not import-marked, a really gorgeous specimen suitable for a museum display, reenacting, or actual shooting.
