ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # S2677 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1899.  Excellent PLUS condition, with 98% strong bluing, springs exhibiting a vivid fire-blue. Crest has been ground (as usual), all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is strong and mirror bright. Original streaked walnut stock and long handguard has very few handling-marks with original finish, cartouche on right side ground but others intact. Not import-marked, a really beautiful example. ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action Cavalry carbine # C7691 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1900.  Very Good condition, with 80% fading bluing. Intact crest, all-matching numbers (stock likely arsenal renumbered to match), bore is strong and mirror bright. Original walnut stock has quite a few handling-marks. Not import-marked. ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # B6369 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  Excellent condition, with 93% bluing, wear evident only at muzzle (where a bayonet may have been installed and removed a few times). Original finish, with receiver "in the white" having clear Argentine crest above chamber. All matching numbers, including buttstock and cleaning-rod. Bore is excellent and mirror bright. AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # B17587 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1927 with 10-44 dated replacement barrel.  Very Good condition with slightly rough but somewhat bright bore. Has magazine bypass slot in right side of receiver but bypass itself not present. Stock and nose-cap matches receiver, bolt and rear sight not numbered. AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # E80492 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1943, barrel dated 7-56.  Excellent condition with gorgeous mirror-bright bore. Bolt and nose-cap matching receiver, rear-sight is unnumbered. Australian Department of Defense markings on receiver. AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull long-rifle # 1159U (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916.  Good condition, with little original finish but has a sharp very bright bore. All matching numbers (# on buttstock restamped to match, bolt knob has stamped number), buttstock is walnut while handguard is of a lighter-colored beech, the former having a few dings and handling-marks. BELGIAN Model 24/50 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 12063 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1952.  Very Good condition, with 80% original external-finish.  Bore virtually mirror-perfect, Crowned-L (for King Leopold) with ABL and date 1952 atop receiver, matching bolt.  No cleaning-rod, wood has original finish with some of the expected handling-marks. BRAZILIAN Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action long rifle # 8422b (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1909.  Excellent PLUS condition with 98% bluing (receiver in the white) and all-matching numbers. Near-perfect mirror-bore and fantastic detailed Brazilian crest above chamber. The very lovely walnut stock has only a couple minor scuffs but is otherwise AS-NEW with subtle tigerstripe figure in the grain.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   C&R   

BRITISH Model P-14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # 605530 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in 1916. A reworked example in Excellent condition with 95% or better phosphate external finish and mirror-bright sharp bore.  Something ground from top of chamber. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk. I Enfield bolt-action rifle # A17901 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby in 1941.  Excellent, with full  military stoving (glossy black paint) external finish on metal. Has an excellent 2-groove mirror-bore, all-matching numbers (including magazine) with 2-marked bolt-head.  Wood appears to be made of nicely streaked Birch with a Beech rear-handguard. A few thin scratches and compressions but not many handling-marks or other signs of use. Front sight has 1982-dated arsenal-tag hanging from it numbered to this rifle. Has a strong mostly bright 5-groove bore, all-matching numbers (no number on magazine) with 2-marked bolt-head.  Stock is Beech with a Birch front and grooved Walnut rear handguard. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1/3 Enfield bolt-action rifle # 98C5734 (.303 British) mfg. by Savage-Stevens in 1944 as a Mk.1* and experienced a FTR at Fazakerly in 1949, during which its configuration was upgraded to the Mk.2 standard.  Near Excellent, with nearly full  military stoving (glossy black paint) external finish on metal (except for near muzzle where bayonet attaches and barrel-bands). Has an strong and bright 5-groove bore, all-matching numbers (except magazine) with 3-marked bolt-head.  US PROPERTY marked on receiver. Butt is walnut with beech forend and birch handguards. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # PF262529 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in December 1952. Excellent PLUS condition, with 99% intact military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. All-matching numbers (including magazine) with perfect mirror 5-groove bore and 2-marked bolt-head.  Wood is beech with very minor handling marks, essentially an UNISSUED rifle that saw little use since being unwrapped. BRITISH Enfield No.4 (T) SNIPER bolt-action rifle # Q39555 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley arsenal in 1944.  Overall Excellent condition, with nearly full oil-black external finish and near-flawless streaked walnut buttstock stock (with added wooden cheek-piece) and beech forend numbered to rifle. Scope is # 25906 and has excellent markings (rear lens slightly chipped at sides but lens clear, bright and in focus), scope-number 28621 stamped on the top of buttstock.  Rifle serial # stamped on scope-mounts is not matching (# A1947), underside of stock stamped S51, indicating conversion to sniper by the prestigious firm of Holland & Holland. Bore is exceptionally mirror-bright and strong (showing little if any actual use), 0-stamped bolt-head, bolt handle matching receiver. Stock has a few minor scuffs but virtually none of the usual handling-marks, includes correct 1907-style leather sling.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $1950.   C&R  SOLD

BRITISH Enfield Model L42A1 SNIPER bolt-action rifle # AT7250 (7.62 NATO) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1943.  Excellent condition, with nearly full external finish.  Very heavy barrel with half-stocked forend and added wooden cheek-piece on butt.  Bolt mismatched but has correct 7.62mm extractor and functions just fine. Scope is # 22542 dated 1945 with excellent markings and clear optics, includes leather scope-caps and 1952-dated web sling.  Not import-marked, rarely offered for sale.  PHOTOS . . . $2450.   C&R  

BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # D8843 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in December 1944. Excellent condition, with 90% intact military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. Bolt not matching, with strong 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head.  Wood has very few handling marks, a nice specimen that likely saw some actual WWII service.  PHOTOS . . . $275.   C&R    SOLD

CHINESE Type 53 Mosin Nagant bolt-action carbine # 1125918 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 296 in July, 1954. Very Good condition, with 60% bluing, all-matching stamped numbers except for magazine floorplate, no number on buttplate. Somewhat dark but strong bore, wood has usual handling-marks, no cleaning-rod but has distinctive Chinese folding-bayonet .  PHOTOS . . . . $195.   Not C&R (until August of this year)

CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic rifle # 12337519 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 26 arsenal in 1969 with hard-chromed spike-type folding bayonet.  Likely a "war-trophy" from the Vietnam conflict, with all-matching serial numbers, functional and complete (no cleaning-rod). Good condition with little bluing intact, some external jungle-related verdigris, perfect chrome-lined bore, wood has one ding and a few handling-marks from carry and circumstances of capture. Unfortunately no documentation or paperwork.  PHOTOS . . . $350.   not C&R  

COLOMBIAN Model 47 bolt-action rifle # 0161-58 (.30-06),  mfg. by Madsen in 1958.   Excellent condition, with nearly 95% original black-painted finish, bore is mirror-perfect, integral muzzle-break.  Stock and handguard have only a couple dings from handling but no apparent wear. This was the last military bolt-action designed for general use (complete with very effective muzzle-break and recoil-pad), not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . . $525.   Not C&R   SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 6203RV (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1917. Very Good condition, with 80% bluing (less on upper receiver).  All-matching numbers with a mirror-perfect bore. Wood is streaked walnut in VG condition with the usual handling-marks, scrapes and compressions but original finish, some kind of buckle on right side of forend missing, no bayonet-lug or cleaning-rod, else complete.  Not import-marked. DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 5856M (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1918. Very Good condition, with 80% bluing (upper receiver browned).  Mismatched bolt (3468) with a mirror-perfect bore. Wood is walnut in VG condition with the usual handling-marks, scrapes and compressions (looks like it has been through at least one rework). EGYPTIAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 5570 (8mm) mfg. by Fabrique National  in c.1955.  Very Good condition with 70% original blued finish, numbers mismatched, bore is bright and strong, Egyptian crest stamped above chamber.  Walnut stock and handguard has quite a few handling-marks from its experiences over the last nearly half-century, but is original, brass French coin inset in stock disk-recess, includes likely original SKS-style sling. FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # K37339 (rechambered to ".308 Winchester"), mfg. by St. Etienne post-war. Excellent condition, with 100% Parkerizing on metal, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. Bolt matches receiver, but no other parts do. Forend loose and wiggles 1/4" back & forth (a by-product of Century's "rechambering wizardry"). All late parts, a few dings on wood from contact with adjacent rifles, else as new. FRENCH Model 1949-56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # H37734 (rechambered to ".308 Winchester"), mfg. by St. Etienne in c.1982. Excellent condition, with 100% Parkerizing on metal, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. No matching numbers on any part. Retains grenade-launcher and sight. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # UD3342 (6.5x52) mfg. by Beretta in early 1940 (the XVIII year of Mussolini). ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # V6234 (7.35x53) mfg. by Terni in late 1939 (the XVIII year of Mussolini). Excellent condition, [SA] stamped (Finn property-markings), stock has been sporterized by cutting off the forend just ahead of the rear barrel-band. Very Good condition with little original bluing (all metal parts covered with hardened cosmoline), all-matching numbers, two chisel-marks across intact mum.  This type has fixed peep-sight, short handguard, separate forestock trapped by front & rear barrel-bands, no provision for cleaning-rod.  Excellent mirror bore, original unsanded finish on wood with a few expected handling-marks and wooden buttplate, no import-marks. Near Excellent condition with full original bluing, no matching numbers, X across intact mum.  This type has ladder peep-sight without aircraft wings, no provision for cleaning-rod.  Excellent shiny mirror bore does not seem to be chrome-lined, crudely-shaped stock with original unsanded finish, a few expected handling-marks, no import-marks. MEXICAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 2906 (7x57) mfg. by Oviedo in 1927.  Very Good condition, much of the bluing turned to brown.  Mismatched bolt (# 2177) with an excellent very bright bore and completely functional. RUSSIAN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # OOL1729 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1941. Excellent condition, metal has 90% original bluing and a near excellent mirror-bright bore.  [SA] marked, matching bolt-body. Finn two-piece buttstock in decent condition with slightly darker handguard, a couple of the expected scratches and dings, triggerguard has dent in it from being dropped.
