ALBANIAN Model SKS semiautomatic rifle # 0894-67 (7.62x39) mfg. at Umgramsh military arms factory in 1967.  Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing on metal. All matching numbers, with near-perfect mirror chrome-lined bore. Wood has been sanded and refinished without staining, with virtually no marks on wood since. PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R     SOLD

BRITISH Model SMLE No.4 Mk.1* SNIPER Enfield bolt-action rifle #13C6918 (.303 British), mfg. by Savage-Stevens in 1942 and converted into (T) sniper configuration by Holland & Holland during WWII. Near excellent condition, with 95% original bluing, gorgeous mirror-bright 5-groove barrel and matching bolt, U.S. PROPERTY still stamped on the receiver (now beneath the scope-mount). Nice wood with some handling-marks and a few gouges but all matching in color, with grooved rear-handguard and cheekpiece (with a small crack) attached to buttstock. 1945-dated AK&S No.32 Mk.III scope and mount in VG condition with very clear optics, complete with No.8 Mk.1 metal scope-case and the large No.15 Mk.1 wooden carrying chest for the entire rifle. The scope is no doubt an arsenal replacement when the Mk.I scopes were upgraded to the Mk.III configuration, thus the number stamped on the buttstock (4319) does not match, but I am sure that it is original and not a "put-together". Only a handful of Savage-made rifles were converted into snipers, and they are very seldom encountered. This rifle comes with two pages of documentation from Roger Payne, an expert on Enfield snipers.   PHOTOS . . . $3250. C&R   SOLD
