AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # 62858 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow in 1917 with Shield logo. Excellent condition with 95% or better oil-blacked finish. Bolt handle and nose cap stamped 82853 to match receiver, no other numbered part matches. Rear sight has windage knob, barrel has a bright and strong bore. BRAZILIAN Model 1908/34 Mauser bolt-action cavalry carbine # 1790s (7x57) mfg. by Ceskoslovenska Zbrojovka A.S., Brno (CZ) in c.1935. Very Good or better condition, with browning full-coverage bluing. Bore is a bit rough with strong rifling, Brazilian crest is extremely bold and beautiful. Turned-down bolt is not numbered, but is of proper type and headspaces properly complete with cleaning-rod. Stock and handguard are of very dark walnut. BRITISH Enfield Sht '22 Mk.IV* bolt-action single-shot training rifle # I70375 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1918, converted in 1940 with new .22LR barrel. Excellent condition, with full remaining oil-blacked finish and a mirror bright bore. Top flats of receiver have been drilled and tapped for scope mounting (which is not present). Bolt not matching (not uncommon for these, as they were converted from No.1 Mk.III rifles). Magazine has no spring or follower. Wood has original finish with very few handling marks, both forend and butt as well as nose cap and magazine are stamped to match barrel. Has usual arsenal repairs at heel. Not import-marked. BRITISH SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # B2796 (converted to single-shot .410 smoothbore) mfg. by Enfield in 1913. Very Good condition with 60% or better oil-blacked finish. Has original barrel with surprisingly mirror bright and strong bore. Rear sight stamped B3796, but no other numbered part matches. Walnut stock and handguards has a few minor dings and scrapes with numerous arsenal repairs but is sound. Not import marked, includes a paper-wrapped packet of 10 rounds of .410 ball ammunition.. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # T64 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in November 1945. Excellent or better condition, with all bluing intact. Bolt numbered T64 (matching). Has very strong and mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 0-marked bolt-head. Stock has a few scuffs and compressions, crack on left side of handguard crudely glued.. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 1018H4 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1937. Very Good refurbished condition, with mostly full bluing on all metal parts. No matching serial numbers, top of chamber has remnants of two-tailed rampant Czech lion that mostly was ground off during refurb. Bore is mostly bright and very strong. FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 3825 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1940 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 90% or better remaining bluing. FINN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action DRAGOON rifle # 77000 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1930 with both [SA] and 41 Finn property markings on barrel-shank. Excellent condition, with full bluing intact, bore very bright with sharp rifling. Bolt body serial numbers matching, no other parts are (as usual). One-piece Russian stock has many dings and dents and the expected scuffs. Includes cleaning rod and steel wire sling swivels. Has ladder-type rear sight and blade front sight (like the long rifle). FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 303904 (7.62x54R), barrel by SAKO in 1969. Excellent-PLUS condition, with full bluing on all parts and very strong markings. Bolt-knob stamped 3904 (matching). Bore is mirror-bright with perfect rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). FRENCH Model 1949-56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # G39658 (7.5x54) manufactured at St. Etienne in 1967. Excellent condition, with full Parkerizing. Has great mirror-bright bore. GERMAN Standard Modell Mauser bolt-action rifle # B58895 (8x57mm), mfg. by Mauser in circa 1932 with MAUSER BANNER atop chamber. Excellent condition with full original bluing. No matching serial numbers with correct straight bolt. Bore is very bright and strong, receiver has commercial BUGN proofs, missing its cleaning rod. Finger-groove walnut stock was likely refinished in the distant past and has some dings and scratches but no cracks. Not import marked, a decent example of a very scarce precursor of the 98k. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5678i (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde (code ar) in 1943. A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 100% rebluing and intact bold Nazi eagle/swastika on left side of receiver. Bore is strong and mirror bright, rear sight numbered 5678, but nothing else matches. Laminated stock is sound with blued flat buttplate. Missing cleaning-rod and locking-screws. Not import marked. GERMAN Model 33/40 Mauser bolt-action "mountain carbine" # 1979a (8mm) mfg. by Brno Arms Factory (Waffen Werke Brunn, code dot) in 1941 with a mere 19.6" barrel. A Very Good condition original example with very sharp and distinct markings and 70% or so original mottled bluing. All-correct and fully matching and a very strong and bright bore. Sound solid wood buttstock with metal kickplate. Includes cleaning-rod and front sight-hood, rear barrel band held together with incorrect bolt. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 26, # 71066 (6.5x50mm) mfg. at Kokura from December 1940 to September 1941. Near Excellent condition with full original bluing (some old pitting on triggerguard, magazine floorplate and back of bolt. Has intact mum. No matching serial numbers. This type has ladder V-type rear sight and front sight with "ears", missing its cleaning rod. Bore is a bit dark but with very strong rifling. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action LONG rifle Series 35, # 28525 (7.7x58mm) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo (now the auto manufacturer Mazda) from June 1940 to March 1941. Excellent-PLUS condition with full original bluing. Mum has been heavily ground, but that is the only sign of wear on the entire rifle. No matching serial numbers. This type has ladder peep-type rear sight (without aircraft wings) and front sight with "ears". Is missing its cleaning rod, monopod and sliding dust cover. Bore is chrome lined and just about perfect. Wood has some dings and handling marks. Not import marked, has the finest metal finish I have ever seen on any Arisaka. PHOTO . . . $875.* C&R
PERUVIAN Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # S5004 (7.65x54) mfg. by DWM in 1899 with a 29 1/2" barrel (manufactured by S.I.G. in Switzerland). Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore. Features a lange-vizer (rollercoaster) rear-sight (like the German Gewehr 98), crest atop chamber very strong for these, bolt stamped 5004 (matching). SWEDISH Model CG63 Mauser bolt-action TARGET rifle # 102570 (6.5x55) mfg. as a M94 carbine by Carl Gustaf in 1918 and converted to match rifle configuration at Carl Gustaf in 1964. Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing, all visible serial numbers matching except magazine floorplate. SWISS Model K31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 909011 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1948. All-matching serial numbers (including magazine). Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing and a bright and strong bore. Wood is beech with fewer than usual handling marks in the finish, II 48 stamped beneath buttplate with soldier's tag. U.S.A. Model of 1917 bolt-action infantry rifle # 872958 (.30-06) mfg. by Eddystone in July 1918 with a 7-18 dated Eddystone barrel. Bolt made by Winchester, buttstock made by Remington. Excellent condition with 95% Parkerized finish on metal and a very strong and somewhat bright bore. Walnut stock has very few handling marks, has arrow inside C stamped on right side and atop chamber (indicating its issue to Canadian service). U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 4870464 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Smith-Corona in August 1943 with SC 8-43 barrel. Excellent condition with 90% Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 1.5, MW = 1.5) with 6-groove rifling. Rifle is currently in a SUPREME sporter stock, but an excellent military stock and handguard (with all accessories) is also included. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $950. C&R SOLD
YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K51967 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1951. Good to Very Good condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with very little remaining bluing and a mostly bright (if a bit worn) bore. Bold Tito-era crest above chamber, bolt not matching, but every other numbered part does. This rifle has the look of a relic of the Balkan wars, complete with several ornamental tacks driven in both sides of the stock. No cleaning-rod or front sight-hood, fully operational.
