SWEDISH Model 38 bolt-action Mauser short rifle # 98733 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1901 with BENT bolt and threaded muzzle (with screw-on cap). Excellent-PLUS refinished condition, all metal (except bolt) has a nice satin appearance. Has bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.51/1), all visible parts serial numbered 733 except buttplate and rear sight. Walnut stock and handguard has been smoothed and nicely refinished. U.S.A. Model 1896 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action rifle # 97205 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in May, 1898. Very Good or better condition with weak mottled bluing throughout (does NOT appear to have been refinished). Bore is strong and bright (mw = 1.5). U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action rifle # 425200 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1903. Excellent condition with full mottled bluing throughout (does NOT appear to have been refinished). Bore is extremely strong and bright (mw = 1.0) . Stock has very bold 1903-dated cartouche on left side and only a few dings and scratches (none of them unsightly). Includes reproduction RIA leather sling. Not import-marked. U.S.A. Model 1905 Mark II ROSS straight-pull bolt-action rifle # 2672 stamped on bottom of stock (.303 British) mfg. in Quebec in 1905. Excellent condition, a U.S. issue substitute standard rifle that had apparently never seen Canadian service, but has flaming bomb above U.S. atop serial number. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Has original complicated leaf-sight (stamped CANADIAN TOOL AND SPECALTY, NEW GLASGOW, N.B. on the back) and utilizes the novel "Harris Controlled Platform Magazine". None of the usual Canadian service cartouches on right side of buttstock, not import-marked. Includes uesd U.S. Model 1907 leather sling stamped B. T. & B. CO. A lovely example with bright and strong 6-42 dated RA four-groove barrel.
