AUSTRALIAN Mark VI Webley revolver # 407021 (back of cylinder "shaved" for .45 ACP) mfg. by Webley & Sons in 1918 with 6" barrel.  Excellent refinished condition, with 100% bluing, Australian service (arrow inside large D) stamped on left side of both barrel and frame.  Cylinder is mismatched.  Decent Vulcanite square-butt grips complete with lanyard-ring.  Bore is bright with some internal crazing, very smooth action. AUSTRIAN Model 1898 Rast & Gasser 8-shot revolver # 99581 (8mm Rast-Gasser) mfg. by  Rast & Gasser, Vienna in 1916. Excellent condition, most likely refinished with full bluing and strong markings. Has all-matching serial numbers and a decent mostly bright bore. Checkered walnut grips are quite sharp and undamaged. Mechanically perfect and totally functional (.32 S&W Long ammo can be safely used, but accuracy will suffer due to its .330 bore-diameter). JAPANESE 
Type 14 semiautomatic pistol rig with holster, Series 2 # 14777 (8mm Nambu) mfg. at Nagoya in February, 1944.  Excellent condition with 95% or better original bluing. All matching serial numbers including magazine, spare magazine is not matching. Bore is extremely bright and strong, markings are very sharp, and grooved wooden grips are sound with no cracks. U.S.A. Police Positive Special revolver # 191644 (.38 Special) with 6" barrel, manufactured by Colt in 1919. Very Good or better condition with 80% or better original blued finish and a near-perfect bore. Not import-marked, with COLT factory letter documenting this revolver was shipped to California Hardware Company in Los Angeles on October 8th, 1919 (one of five revolvers in this shipment).  PHOTOS . . . $575.    C&R     SOLD

"Victory Model" revolver # V156557 (.38 Special) with 4" barrel, manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1942. Excellent condition with 95% or better original blued finish and a near-perfect bore, U.S. NAVY marked, case-colors still vivid on hammer and trigger. One of the finest Navy-marked Victory models we have ever encountered. Not import-marked, with S&W factory letter documenting this revolver was shipped to the Naval Supply Depot in Oakland, California on November 11, 1942 (one of 1,000 sent in this shipment).  A truly exceptional specimen.  PHOTOS . . . $1475.    C&R     SOLD

BULGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action straight-pull steutzer carbine # 4648F (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1903.  Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 99% or better bluing, Bold Bulgarian crest (rampant lion in shield) on top of receiver, STEYR 1903 remains on left side rail.  Bore is somewhat bright and very strong. CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic rifle # 1705814 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 906 (Shanxi province) in 1970.  Excellent condition with little apparent wear.  All matching serial numbers (05814) on every numbered part EXCEPT magazine (which is from a different rifle, as this had an aftermarket extended mag when we purchased it and its orgiginal mag was nowhere to be found).  Chrome-lined bore is mirror bright and appears to have been fired very little.  Stock has been sanded. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 7442D4 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1937.  Near Excellent condition, with mostly full bluing on all metal parts. Bolt handle stamped 7442 (matching). top of chamber has bold two-tailed rampant Czech lion. Bore is mostly bright and very strong. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3887c (8x57) mfg. by Sauer & Son (code S/147) in 1938.  A Russian reworked rifle in Near Excellent condition, with 90% re bluing and intact Nazi markings (Weimar eagles with closed wings) on left side of receiver and barrel-shank, the three proofs on the right side included one eagle/Swastika proof.  The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Replacement buttstock (with flat buttplate) is solid with some nice marbled figure, and unusaually has a sling swivel added to the bottom. INDIAN Enfield No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # 63749L (.303 British) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1951 with Parker-Hale aperture rear sight.  Perfection, lovingly restored to AS-NEW condition by purchasing unissued wood and refinishing the external metal to its original appearance. All matching serial numbers on every numbered part, bore is exceptional and mirror-bright. "Ishie screw" present on left side of stock. A new (box included) Parker-Hale Model 5a match-quality aperture sight has been added (easily removed if desired).         ISRAELI Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 679760 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Fabrique National in June 1958.  Near Excellent condition, with full bluing on metal surfaces, small parts turning brown with age. Nazi bolt is mismatched (underside proofed WaA26, which was Mauser Borsigwalde). Bore is mirror-bright, bold Israeli IDF crest above chamber. Beech 7.62-marked buttstock has quite a few handling-marks, scratches and dings from actual use but is sound with traces of olive green camoflage paint on left side.        JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle Series 1, # 54485  (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in October 1941 thru March 1942. Excellent condition with full original bluing on all metal, mum has been heavily ground (as usual).  All numbered parts stamped 485 (matching), chrome-lined bore is very bright with sharp rifling. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 7 # 28790 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in February-May 1944. Excellent or better condition with full original bluing. Bolt and all bolt parts stamped 221 (not matching), mum appears intact at first glance, but closer examination finds it is very slightly (and poorly) ground. This type has ladder rear sight with peep, cylindrical bolt handle with welded safety knob. Cleaning rod missing, stock and long handguard has original finish and the expected rough handling marks. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 7 # 56577 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in February-May 1944. Excellent or better condition with full original bluing. All numbered parts stamped 577 (matching),, mum heavily ground. This type has ladder rear sight with peep, cylindrical bolt handle with checkered safety knob. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 23, # 29493 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura in mid 1943 to March 1944. Excellent or better condition with full original bluing, has ground mum (partially showing), bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 497 (not matching). Has peep-type ladder rear sight with anti-aircraft "wings" and front sight with "ears".  Includes correct cleaning rod, but is lacking monopod and action cover. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 25, # 86685 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura in January thru August 1945 (literally "last ditch").  Very Good or so condition with crusty appearance.  Has heavily ground mum, bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 685 (matching). Has fixed peep rear sight with, no "ears" on front sight, wooden buttplate, and forecd is s seperate piece kept in place by barrel bands, no provision for cleaning rod.  Stock has not been sanded and is very roughly shaped with plenty of scars but no cracks or splits. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 37, # 11696 (6.5x50) mfg. at Tokyo Juki Kogyo in  July 1942 to December 1943. Excellent or better condition with full original bluing, has heavily ground mum, bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 954 (not matching). Has peep-type ladder rear sight with anti-aircraft "wings" and front sight with "ears".  Includes correct cleaning rod, but is lacking monopod and action cover. PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # R9605 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1939 (1317 Anno Hijera).  Excellent condition, with all-matching serial numbers. Internally perfect with a mirror-perfect bore.  Wood is walnut with nice grain and a beautiful furniture-type finish.  Some scuffs and contact-marks from transportation and storage, but little sign of actual use. PERUVIAN Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 4746 (7.65x54) mfg. by Mauser, Oberndorf in 1909 with a 29 1/2" barrel (manufactured by S.I.G. in Switzerland).  Good to Very Good condition, with 50% thinning original bluing and a worn but usable bore.  Features a lange-vizer (rollercoaster) rear-sight (like the German Gewehr 98), crest atop chamber very strong for these, no matching serial numbers.  Buttstock and handguard have been refinished, with rubber buttpag added. ROMANIAN Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # SR9765 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1938.   Excellent-PLUS refurbished condition, with full bluing on all metal parts. Front edge of bolt handle electro-penciled to match, left side of stock stamped to match, some small parts not matching. Top of chamber with King Michael's crest has been ground off during refurb. Bore is extremely bright and very strong. Walnut stock is as pristine as they come with only a few small (almost unnoticeable) dings.  Includes cleaning rod, front sight protector and correct blade-up bayonet & scabbard. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3820723 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in June, 1943.   Very Good condition with 60% or better mottled Parkerizing on all metal. A well-used example with excellent RA / 6-43 dated 4-groove bore (TE=1.0, MW = 1.5). Walnut walnut stock and handguards have many scuffs and dings, an AAO cartouche on left side. Includes a rather stiff BOYT Model 1907 leather sling.    Not import-marked, could use a good external cleaning. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 2118 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1947.  Very Good condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 70% bluing and a mostly bright and strong bore.  Usual Tito-era crest above chamber has been ground off, straight bolt handle stamped 2118 (matching), no other parts are numbered. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # T56370 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1952.  Excellent-PLUS (esentially UNISSUED) condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on all metal components and all milled parts, Tito crest above receiver very bold. All serialized parts match receiver. Very sharp mirror-bright bore, stock is elm with virtually no handling marks.
