AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # C66223 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow in 1941. Very Good condition with 75% or better fading oil-blacked finish. Bolt handle stamped C66223 to match receiver, no other numbered part matches. Barrel has a bright and strong bore. Coachwood stock and handguards has been lightly sanded, but many WWII-dated Aussie proofs on right side still visible. PHOTOS . . . $525. C&R
AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # 1660A (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow in 1942. Excellent-PLUS (really UNISSUED) condition with perfect phosphate finish. This is one of the rifles assembled in the late 1990's by the Colt Black Powder factory in Brooklyn from usissued spare parts purchased from Lithgow. The bolt handle is stamped 1660A and nose cap stamped A1660 to match receiver, no other parts are numbered. Nearly perfect new Coachwood stock and handguards (manufactured by the Australian firm Slazenger in 1943) has only a few extremely minor handling marks. Includes correct web sling. PHOTOS . . . $750. BRITISH No.1 Mk.III* SMLE bolt-action rifle # U10480 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1908 with 10-52 dated barrel, went through Factory Thorough Repair at Lithgow in 1954, D↑D (Australian Department of Defense) stamped atop receiver. Very Good condition with some wear on exposed metal. Bore has a gorgeous mirror-bright barrel with strong rifling. All matching numbers. Stock is dark and has a rough finish (looks as if it was steam-cleaned) with a few dents and dings and other handling-marks. Has "Ishie" transverse screw through forend, arsenal-repairs at heel and toe. A very early example, as the SMLE had been only introduced for a year when this rifle was produced. PHOTOS . . . $525. BRITISH No.1 Mk.III SMLE bolt-action rifle # F94918 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1917. Very Good condition with some wear on exposed metal. 1937 dated replacement barrel has a very bright bore with strong rifling. No matching serial numbers (rear sight force-matched), features early magazine cut off and windage adjustable rear sight. Stock has some dents and dings and other handling-marks, arsenal-repairs at heel and toe and a well-stamped unit disk on right side. This rifle wears a narrow leather sling that was sewn on. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # W7441 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby in 1943. Very Good condition, with bright and strong 4-groove bore, worn external metal (especially small parts, which are browned). Bolt handle matches, no other parts are numbered. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action IRISH CONTRACT rifle # PF336804 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in December 1954. NEW, unissued, still slathered in 1/4" thick dark brown cosmoline and "mummy wrapped" in brown kraft paper just as it left the factory 70+ years ago. During importation the protective wrapping was partially slit open on the left side to confirm the serial number, and slit open on the forend so they could be import marked on the muzzle by Century Arms, these are otherwise as they left the factory and put into storage until needed (but they never were). . . $1750. EGYPTIAN "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 1470 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1961. Excellent or better condition, full original blued finish with very strong mostly bright bore. ITALIAN Model BM59 semiautomatic rifle # 0812 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Beretta in the early 1960's as a selective fire weapon based on the M1 Garand, and rebuilt by James River Armory. Excellent-PLUS condition, with perfect Parkerized finish and mirror-perfect bore. Has winter trigger (a small lever so one can pull the trigger with a gloved hand) installed. PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # P5910 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1939 (1317 Anno Hijera). Excellent condition, with all-matching serial numbers. Internally perfect with a mirror-perfect bore. Wood is walnut with nice grain and a beautiful furniture-type finish. Some scuffs and contact-marks from transportation and storage, but little sign of actual use.

SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 242942 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1909 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all parts. SWEDISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 662095 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent-bolt and threaded muzzle (wearing an aftermarket muzzle-break). Excellent condition, with 90% bluing on all metal parts and little apparent wear (thinning only on triggerguard). Has very strong markings and a mirror perfect extremely strong bore (disk marked 6.51/1). All numbered parts stamped (or etched) 095. Rear sight is ladder version calibrated from 100 to 600 meters. SWEDISH Model 41B SNIPER bolt-action rifle # 38511 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900. MISSING SCOPE and UPPER SCOPE MOUNT. A very nice EXCELLENT specimen, with 95% bluing, only bolt knob, bolt release and both barrel-bands stamped 511 (matching), remaining numbered parts not matching (as usual for these). Near-perfect mirror-bright bore, with 6.49/1 bore-disc, dial-type m/55 rear-sight adjustable from 100 to 600 meters in 25-meter increments. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3655231 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Smith-Corona in February 1943 with SA 2-43 barrel. Excellent condition with 90% Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 1.5, MW = 0.5) with 2-groove rifling. Walnut stock has nice finish with only a few handling marks, boxed FJA and crossed cannon ordnance cartouches as well as a boxed RIA (Rock Island Arsenal) cartouche. Includes front sight hood. U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine semiautomatic rifle # 5079602 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland (a divsion of General Motors) in August 1944 with a 8-44 dated Inland barrel. Excellent condition, metal has very little wear to Parkerized finish with a mirror bright bore and with 1.50 muzzle-wear. This features a round-topped bolt, flip-type safety, adjustable rear sight and late front band with bayonet-lug.
