    AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 6926K (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917. Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with full bluing.     BRAZILIAN Model 1922 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 2297 (7x57) mfg. by FN  in 1922.  Very Good condition with 80% bluing. A very strange carbine which appears to be hand-stamped EE. UU. DO BRAZIL (United States of Brazil) atop chamber. Has matching bent bolt, bore is mirror-bright with very strong rifling. Walnut buttstock and handguard has Brazilian "flag" cartouche on right side.     BRITISH No.1 Mk.III* SMLE bolt-action rifle # J21926 (.303 British), mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1918.  Excellent condition with full oil-blacked finish on external metal.     CHINESE Type 56 Siminov semiautomatic carbine # 7005578 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 0138 in 1964.  Very Good condition with 80% bluing on all metal parts, bore is excellent and extremely bright.     CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # E5 6281 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1937.  Excellent-PLUS or better arsenal-refurbished condition, with full bluing on all metal parts. All matching serial numbers (bolt electropenciled to match), top of chamber has remnants of two-tailed rampant Czech lion that mostly was ground off during refurb. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Walnut stock looks new with a few compressions and light scratches. Includes cleaning rod and front sight protector. PHOTOS . . . $475.    C&R    SOLD

    FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 107400 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1898 on a hex receiver with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition with 70% or better bluing on all metal parts. No matching serial numbers, bore is strong and somewhat bright (has been counterbored at muzzle).     FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 26718 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by VKT in 1942 on a hex receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. Bolt-knob stamped 6718 (matching), bore is strong and mirror-bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). One-piece Russian buttstock has Finn Civil Guard # S43318 on right side (Pirkka Häme), some scuffs and scrapes from actual use with leather sling-swivels. PHOTOS . . . $475.    C&R

    FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 234527 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by SAKO in 1943 on a 1896 dated Tula receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing. Bolt-knob numbered 4527 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate not matching (as usual). Bore is mirror-bright and strong (and NOT counterbored). Includes cleaning-rod and excellent green-leather sling. Postwar stock (squared finger-joints) has a few very minor dings, but is otherwise as new.     GERMAN Model Karabiner 98 bolt-action infantry carbine # 3155 (8x57mm) mfg. by Erfurtr in 1915.  Very Good condition, metal has mostly full bluing that is browning with age. No matching serial numbers, no overt Turkish markings with a very strong and somewhat bright bore. Missing cleaning rod, beech buttstock has been lightly sanded with few of the expected handling marks and dings, handguard has a very nasty (but repaired) lengthwise crack.     INDIAN No.1 Mk.III* SMLE bolt-action rifle # 99363A (.303 British), mfg. by Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1918.  Excellent condition with full oil-blacked finish on external metal. Bore is very bright and strong, mismatched bolt with matching nose-cap, still retains functioning magazine cut-off.  Left side of receiver socket has RFI 1928 rebuild marking. Stock has a few minor dings and handling marks, "Ishie screw" present.  PHOTOS . . . $475.   C&R    SOLD

    JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 120116 (6.5x50) mfg. by Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo) in c.1924.  Excellent condition with better than 95% original bluing except for triggerguard and magazine floorplate (worn from carry), non-matching bolt and bolt-parts, mum ground (as usual), no cleaning rod.  Bore is strong and close to excellent, buttstock and handguard have original finish with very few handling-marks.     JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine Series 2, # 62856 (6.5x50) mfg. by Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo) in c.1935.  Excellent condition with full bluing, all-matching serial numbers.     JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 32, # 94504 (6.5x50) mfg. by Toyo Kogyo Arsenal (Tokyo) in July-December 1943.  Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing, all-matching serial numbers.    PERUVIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 26550 (rechambered to .30-06) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1935.  Excellent condition with nearly full black-enamel paint on metal surfaces. Bold Peruvian crest (REPUBLICA PERUANA) atop chamber, .30 on rear of receiver. Matching bolt, no other parts are numbered. Stock and handguard have been lightly refinished, with really pretty figuring. No cleaning rod, not import-marked, PHOTOS . . . $450.    C&R    SOLD

    PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # B3034 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Very Good condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore, some wear on exposed part of barrel, missing front band spring (not loose),. Includes cleaning-rod. Stock has some handling marks and clear royal cartouche, includes original leather sling. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.     SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # XM7136 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (has been counterbored). All numbered parts stamped matching.     SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action faux SNIPER rifle # CK4698 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1942.  Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with 99+% remaining bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Of course this is a put-together (but beautiful) Century Arms import with clear (likely modern) 1942-dated optics, all numbered parts numbered 4698 (without letter prefixes), mount not numbered at all. Birch stock has some very minor nicks and scrapes in the finish. Includes cleaning rod, correct sling, leather lens-caps and canvas scope cover. PHOTOS . . . $825.    C&R    SOLD

    SWEDISH Model 96-38B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 27539 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1899 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal muzzle-break).  Excellent condition, with 85% or better bluing on all metal parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (bore disk stamped 6.52/2).  All matching serial numbers except rear barrel-band (139) and cleaning rod.     SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6791 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1899 with bent-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal cap).  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all metal parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (bore disk stamped 6.49/0).  All matching serial numbers (unnumbered cleaning rod).     TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 11189 (8x57) rearsenaled by Ankara arsenal in 1945. Excellent condition, with all bluing remaining on all external metal.. Rear sight serial numbered to matches, nothing else does. Bore is extremely bright and strong, completely functional. Includes cleaning-rod. Stock is beech with few of the expected handling marks.     U.S.A. Model of 1903-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3528941 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in April 1943.  Excellent-PLUS condition with 95% gray Parkerizing on all metal.     U.S.A. Model of 1903-A3 Springfield bolt-action PARADE rifle # 4088883 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in September 1943.  Very Good condition, all metal CHROME PLATED. Amazingly this rifle has a near-perfect 2-groove bore.  Missing front-sight blade, and tip of firing pin has been snipped, else functional.  Walnut stock has been shellacked, includes tan military web sling.     VENEZUELAN Model 24/30 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 35335 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique National in the mid-1930's. Very Good condition, with 75% or so bluing remaining, receiver is "in the white" (as is proper for these) with blurry national crest above chamber. Bore is very bright and shiny, bolt numbered 10405 (not matching), includes cleaning-rod.     YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # A898 (8mm) mfg. by Nazi arsenals during WWII and refurbished by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 98% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces and a mirror bright and strong bore. Weak Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber, stuck over original Nazi markings byf 44 (Mauser, 1944) which are faintly visible. All-matching Yugo serial numbers, with all milled parts (solid front band). Stock is laminated with some scratches from actual service use, Nazi eagle over H cartouche faintly visible.
