ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action cavalry carbine # B1384 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1893. Near Excellent condition, with 80% or better bluing and a somewhat weak national crest above chamber. No matching serial numbers, bore is mostly bright with very strong rifling. Stock has glossy finish with some small dings and handling marks from actual public use. Not import-marked. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 1043R4 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1938.  Very Good or better original condition, with nearly full bluing on barrelled action, small parts worn from handling. no matching serial numbers. Top of chamber has very bold two-tailed rampant Czech lion. Bore is mostly bright and strong. Walnut stock has a few scuffs, else has original finish. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Model 1953 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 0492 (7x57) mfg. in 1960.  An original ALL-MATCHING example in Excellent PLUS condition, with 100% original blued finish, matching bolt, missing cleaning rod. Inscription ARMERIA F.A. REP. DOM. 1960 on side of receiver. Appears unfired with zero wear and only a few compressions and dings from handling and storage on lovely streaked walnut furniture with tiger-striped handguard.  Not import-marked, a really beautiful example of a rifle usually encountered in poor condition. FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 58279 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1939 on a scrubbed receiver.  Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing, bore is gorgeous and mirror-bright. A fantastic example with great stock, handguard has a thin repaired diagonal crack. Matching bolt-knob, includes cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . $975.    C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action SNIPER rifle # 225531 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1942 with a 1943-dated PU scope having clear optics.  Before you get too excited, this is one of the lower-grade rifles Century International Arms added a spare surplus Soviet PU scope to in the early 1990's and offered as a "sniper" to the uninformed.  Rifle is in Good condition with very little remaining external bluing , bore is strong (if a little rough) and has been counterbored at muzzle.  Long bent sniper-style bolt is numbered 5531 on knob to match barrel, includes cleaning-rod. Three-piece wartime stock has SAKO cartouche on right side with the usual dings and scratches from actual use, and has a arsenal-repaired crack at tang. Supposedly a very accurate shooter. GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 7715aa (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1916, also stamped 1920 at top of receiver. Very Good condition, metal has a gray coloration.  No matching serial numbers, no overt Turkish markings with a very strong and very bright bore. Has updated ladder rear sight, missing cleaning rod, rear sling-swivel is of the fixed type.  Beech buttstock has the expected handling marks, with Imperial cartouches on right side. The 1920 marking signifies its acceptance for use in postwar Germany.  PHOTOS . . . $475.      C&R

GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 5613c (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1918. Very Good PLUS condition, with nearly full external bluing on upper metal (triggerguard and magazine floorplate worn from carry), manufacturer address atop chamber weak on right side. No matching serial numbers, has a very strong and very bright bore. Original "roller-coaster" rear sight is functional. Includes cleaning rod and rear (removable) sling-swivel. Beech buttstock and handguard sound with the expected handling marks from actual use, faint Imperial cartouches on right side. GERMAN Model Kar 98 bolt-action Mauser carbine # 8845  (8x57mm) mfg. by Erfurt in 1916.  Very Good or better condition, much bluing remains. No matching numbers. Nice strong and somewhat bright bore.  Buttstock is original beech with expected handling marks from actual use. Includes stacking-hook.  Front action-bolt is broken off (a spare is provided).  PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R 

GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7095k (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code S/42G) in 1935.  A all-matching nicely refinished (when rebarrelled) example in in Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% blued finish (some speckling on end of barrel). Receiver has Weimar markings with early WaffenAmpts, barrel has Nazi eagle holding swastika. Solid walnut stock and handguard looks new (and probably is). all-milled parts with flat buttplate and cleaning rod. Bore is strong and mirror bright. Not import-marked. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 2855 (8mm), having SSZZA4 marking on left side of barrel-shank  mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (factory code bnz) in 1943. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% or better bluing. No matching serial numbers, am early Century import with (likely) repro cleaning rod, front sight hood, and locking screws. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, all-milled parts with stamped rear band, buttstock is solid walnut in the semi-Kriegsmodell configuration (no takedown disk, but retains bayonet lug.  Extremely rare, authenticity of SS markings absolutely guaranteed. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 83422L (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf 44) in 1944.  An all-matching Kriegsmodell 98k in Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing and clear Nazi markings.  Stock has full Kriegsmodell features (no provision for cleaning rod and no disassembly disc) repaired duffle-cut just aft of sling-slot. ITALIAN Model 1870/87 Vetterli-Vitali  single-shot bolt-action training carbine #  616 (.22 Long Rifle) converted from an antique Vetterli by Beretta in 1932.  Good or better condition, full bluing with scattered light rust (easily removed with an oily rag and some effort).  Wood is sound with original finish and bold BERETTA cartouche on left side.  Has a very light trigger, and is cute as Hell.  PHOTOS . . . $275.   Antique, no FFL required    SOLD

SOVIET Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # AX3255 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1941. Excellent condition (NOT refurbished) with full bluing on all metal (bolt "in the white"), bore is sharp and mirror bright. Features twelve slotted muzzle break and scope rails. No matching serial numbers. Includes ten round [SA] marked magazine. Stock was sanded in the distant past, with a few handling marks but no cracks or repairs. Not import-marked, very attractive. SOVIET Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # Tb6735 (7.62x54R), barrel  mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943.  Excellent-PLUS rearsenaled condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All-matching numbers,. undated PU scope numbered N127488, same # electropenciled on side of scope mount. Stock has a real nice shellac finish. Includes sling and leather lens-caps.  Definitely NOT a reproduction, has very tiny import-marks on right side of barrel near muzzle. PHOTOS . . . $1150.    C&R    SOLD

 SWEDISH Model 94/14 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 11248 (6.5x55) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1895 with bent bolt and bayonet lug. Excellent-PLUS condition with 99% or better original dark bluing. Bore is excellent and extremely bright, stock is walnut with few of the usual handling-marks and leather buckle, handguard has extremely attractive tiger-stripe figure (also vivid on bottom of stock). SWEDISH Model CG63 Mauser bolt-action TARGET rifle # 300003 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1909 and converted to the match configuration at Carl Gustaf in 1969. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% bluing, last three numbers of bolt and bolt-shroud matching receiver, safety mismatched, no other parts numbered.  Near perfect, mirror bore, has a M7 Soderin rear aperture sight and a aperture front sight that takes different target inserts. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 412551 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1941 with a SA 4-42 barrel.  Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is bright (TE = 1.25, MW = 2.0) with very strong rifling. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1565851 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in May, 1945 with a SA 5-43 original barrel.  Near Excellent condition with full gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror bright (TE = 4.5, MW = 3.0) with very strong rifling. Purchased from widow of WWII Pacific theatre veteran, ALL CORRECT in every aspect, with uncut op-rod and lock-bar rear sight, front sight still has seal, tools are still in butt-trap.
