MILITARY (and other) HANDGUNS

    ARGENTINE Model Ballester-Rigaud semiautomatic pistol; # 8241 (.45 ACP), mfg. at Hafasda for the Argentine Navy in the early 1940's.  Good to Very Good condition, with not much original finish remaining.  Bore is a little worn but mirror-bright. Right side of slide has weak Argentine crest and POLICIA MARITIMA. Includes one 7-round magazine (all Colt 1911 magazines will function in this pistol), grooved walnut grips are extremely worn but sound. This is somewhat of a copy of the Colt 1911 with some differences (no grip-safety) based on the "Star Super" pistols.  They are both very reliable and accurate. Not import-marked, but has tiny West German proofs on slide, barrel & frame. PHOTO. . . $425.   C&R   

    AUSTRALIAN Mark VI Webley revolver # 407021 (back of cylinder "shaved" for .45 ACP) mfg. by Webley & Sons in 1918 with 6" barrel.  Excellent refinished condition, with 100% bluing, Australian service (arrow inside large D) stamped on left side of both barrel and frame.  Cylinder is mismatched.  Decent Vulcanite square-butt grips complete with lanyard-ring.  Bore is bright with some internal crazing, very smooth action.     BRITISH Mark VI Webley revolver # 187222 (back of cylinder "shaved" for .45 ACP) mfg. by Webley & Sons in 1916 with 6" barrel. Good or better condition, with browned metal surfaces showing exposure to weather. All matching serial numbers (including cylinder). Decent Vulcanite square-butt grips (left one chipped at bottom but sound), complete with lanyard-ring.  Bore is mirror-bright with slight crud in the grooves but strong lands and a very tight action.     BRITISH Mark VI revolver # A428 (back of cylinder "shaved" for .45 ACP), mfg. by Enfield in 1925. Excellent condition with 95% full original phosphate finish, a gorgeous mirror-bore, and all-matching serial numbers.  Enfield-made Mark VI revolvers are by no means common.    BRITISH No.2 Mk.I* revolver # O5596 (38 S&W), mfg. by Enfield in 1941 with 5" barrel and cropped hammer-spur. Very Good or so condition, with much oil-blacked finish remaining. All matching serial numbers, grooved black plastic grips with thumb-rests. Complete with lanyard-ring, has a gorgeous mirror bore and very tight action. PHOTOS . . . $325.    C&R     SOLD

    BRITISH Model No.2 Mk.1** .38 revolver # C611 (.38 S&W) mfg. by Albion Motors in early 1943 (date on barrel 42, date on right side of frame 1943) with non-serrated backstrap and 5" barrel, double-action only without hammer-spur.  Near Excellent overall with all matching serial numbers, 95% Phosphate finish on metal.  Black bakelite thumb-rest grips, Broad-arrow stamped on brass-disk on right side. Excellent mirror-bright bore, very tight action, French Chamber of Commerce "good for 2 Francs" brass token (dated 1924) attached no lanyard-ring. Not import-marked. PHOTOS  . . . $525.  C&R    SOLD

    BRITISH Mark IV Webley revolver # 123704 (.38 Smith & Wesson), mfg. by Webley & Scott in c.1942. Very Good condition, with 85% chipping black enamel finish. All matching serial numbers, has slightly worn Vulcanite grips, complete with lanyard-ring.  Bore is very strong and mirror bright.  Very tight action and smooth functioning, WAR FINISH stamped on left side, FTR 53 stamped on top-strap.     CZECH Model CZ50 semiautomatic pistol # 716425 (.32 ACP) mfg. at Česká Zbrcjovka in 1951. Excellent condition with 95% or better blued finish.     GERMAN Model 1930 Broomhandle semiautomatic Mauser pistol # 590713 (7.63mm), mfg. at Mauser factory circa 1930. Very Good or so condition, with much bluing remaining (if turning brown) and all matching serial numbers. Bore has been re-lined recently, resulting in an exceptionally accurate shooter, but sear requires adjustment.     GERMAN Ortgies semiautomatic pistol # 47068 (.32 ACP) mfg. by Deutsches Werk, Erfurt in the early 1920's. Good to Very Good condition, all external metal a pleasing light gray color (trigger has much original fire-blue) and pistol is totally functional. Bore is quite nice and bright.     GERMAN Model 1910/22 Browning semiautomatic pistol 20081a (.32 ACP), mfg. at Fabrique National under Nazi occupation in c.1943. Very Good condition with 80% or better original bluing and nice military finish. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright. All matching-numbers, Nazi WaA140 waffenamt and eagle/swastika proofs on left side of both slide and frame. Nice FN-logo bakelite grips with one 8-round magazine. Not import-marked.     SOVIET Model 1895 Nagant 7-shot revolver # 13787 (7.62x38R Nagant), mfg. by Tula in 1930. All-matching numbers, a rearsenaled and reblued example in Excellent PLUS condition with very strong markings and a gorgeous mirror-bright bore. Has coarsely checkered wooden grips and grip-panels.     SPANISH Model 1916 "Astra" semiautomatic pistol # 261539 (.25 ACP) mfg. by Esperanza y Unceta (ASTRA) in Guernica in 1916. Very Good or better condition with 70% original bluing on frame and slide (some mottling of finish on left side from being "holstered wet").     U.S.A. Young America Double Action 1st variation 5-shot revolver # 652 (.32 S&W), manufactured by Harrington & Richardson in 1888. Very Good condition with nickel plating slight worn & chipping. Fully functional, bore is not perfect but usable, front sight has broken off and is AWOL. Not import-marked, serial number on frame underneath left grip panel.
