A Genuine WWII-era sniper rifle in Near Excellent condition, with nearly full stoving finish on all major parts and a very bright and strong bore. Nice original walnut buttstock (with added wooden cheek-piece), bottom of forend and bolt handle numbered to rifle (serial number on left side of butt-socket very faint but discernable), butt stamped S51 (Holland & Holland), top of butt stamped 15594 (not matching number on scope). Stock has some moderate handling marks and SIX NOTCHES on left side (commonly known as "kill marks"), includes proper leather sling. FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 165158 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1897 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition, 70% fading bluing remaining. Bolt body stamped 165158 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate isn't matching either (usual for Finn rifles). Bore is strong and mostly bright, has been counterbored at muzzle. FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 485364 (7.62x54R) mfg. by New England Westinghouse in 1915 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 95% or better remaining bluing, bore is strong and mirror-bright, has been NOT counterbored at muzzle. A really nice example, bolt body numbered 485354. Includes cleaning-rod. Russian one-piece stock has bold round ENGLISH CONTRACT cartouche on left side (in Russian). FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action SNIPER rifle # 66610 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1942 with an undated PU scope having clear optics. Before you get too excited, this is one of the unissued rifles Century International Arms added a spare surplus Soviet PU scope to in the early 1990's and offered as a "sniper" to the uninformed. Rifle is in Excellent condition with full remaining external bluing , bore is mirror-bright and very strong and has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. Long bent sniper-style bolt is not numbered, includes cleaning-rod, leather lens covers as well as fabric cover attached with a snap that contains 1975-dated arsenal record for scope. HUNGARIAN Model 53 Mosin-Nagant PU SNIPER bolt-action rifle # BC6744 (7.62x54R), mfg. by F.É.G. in 1952. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on metal and bright and strong bore. An all-Hungarian sniper with all matching serial numbers and Russian PU scope on Hungarian 02 mount. Buttstock has very few handling-marks. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 23948c (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Mauser (factory code byf 43) in 1943. Near Excellent condition, with most remaining bluing and a mirror-bright bore. Nazi eagle / swastikas proof has NOT been obliterated, but is intact next to a small Star of David. Mixed serial numbers, the bolt has been force-matched (stamped 23948 to match receiver). Beech stock has little signs of actual use, with deep 7.62 stamped on bottom near buttplate. No cleaning rod (stock has not been drilled for one), but retains its front sight hood and has plain Israeli sling. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine Series 4, # 4578 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura from June 1941 - September 1942. Near Excellent condition with all original bluing remaining (but uniform "freckling" in finish). Mum is intact. Bayonet-lug and bolt (and all bolt parts except firing pin and action cover) stamped 578 (matching). JAPANESE Type 44 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 30924 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1912. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better original finish remaining. Bolt not matching, mum has been crudely ground off Very strong and surprisingly bright bore. Stock has original finish with some of the expected handling marks. Functional and complete with attached spike-bayonet. Not import-marked, very scarce and popular. PHOTO . . . $1650. C&RJAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 31, # 47049 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo from April 1941 to March 1942. Excellent condition with full original bluing, all visible serialized parts (including sliding action-cover) numbered 049 (matching), also has intact mum. This type has ladder rear sight with anti-aircraft wings, a provision for monopod (which is present) and a plum-shaped bolt handle with checkered safety knob. Includes cleaning rod, wood has original finish and has never been sanded with many heavy gouges, scratches, and other handling marks and stains (which is likely blood). JAPANESE Type 2 Arisaka bolt-action Paratrooper takedown rifle # 11804 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in 1944. Truly Excellent condition with full original bluing, assembly numbers .660 on both front and rear halves (these were often stored separately). The lock is also numbered .660 (matching both halves). Mum has been heavily ground (as usual), bolt not matching. Stock has original finish with some of the expected contact marks, includes cleaning rod. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant PU SNIPER bolt-action rifle # PR1039 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tula in 1944 with CH atop barrel. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on metal and bright and strong bore, bolt, magazine floorplate and buttplate stamped 1039 to match. A genuine PU sniper (RGUNS import) with non-matching mount. SOVIET Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # IAb3957 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1943. Excellent original condition with a strong mostly bright bore. All matching stamped serial numbers, bottom of bolt and left side of receiver has full serial number (ЯБ3957) remaining numbered parts (as well as left side of stock) numbered 3957. Bolt has plum hue, receiver is NOT grooved for scope-mount. Features 4-slotted muzzle-break. Stock and handguard have many handling marks, with repaired cracks at tang of stock and right side of handguard. Includes cleaning-rod and correct web sling, 10-round mismatched magazine. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 45274 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle with screw-on metal cap. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all metal parts and little apparent wear. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.50/2). SWEDISH Model 41 SNIPER rifle # (217)856 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1908. This is not one of the more common 41B snipers, the difference being (a) the bolt is in the white like a regular 96 rifle, but with a bent handle, (b) rear-sight is of the 96 type, (c) the stock-disc is of the two-screw unit-type, and (d) used an AGA m/42 3x65 scope in a Jackenroll upper and lower mount that were numbered but did not ever match the rifle's serial number (see Kehaya & Poyer, The Swedish Mauser Rifle, pages 173-175).Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on all metal. Has a mirror-bright and strong bore. All-matching numbers (856), stock and handguard has full serial number 217856 inside channel, cleaning-rod not numbered. Stock and handguard are walnut with a few handling-marks from actual use (mostly small nicks and scratches). 1942-dated AGA 3x65 scope has a three-post reticule and, though a bit cloudy has quite decent optics for its age (certainly useable). Has all original as-issued SA-marked parts, including seal on front sight and unaltered op-rod.
