CHILEAN Model 1912-61 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # B8659 (arsenal rechambered to 7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Steyr in 1912. Good condition, with very little remaining bluing (mostly browned, receiver "in the white" as is proper), and a very strong mirror-bright bore. Only numbered parts matching the receiver is the triggerguard and stock, bolt and magazine floorplate not matching. Wood has weak 1912-dated Chilean cartouche and a TON of handling-marks (could use a good refinishing to look pretty), missing cleaning-rod and rear (detachable) sling swivel. CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # A35835 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 296 in November 1953.  Excellent condition with 95% bluing on all metal parts, bore is dark and rough (counterbored at muzzle). FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # BB9508 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1940 with [SA] Finn property mark on left side of barrel-shank.  Excellent condition with full bluing on all metal parts with a round receiver and and a dark but strong bore (muzzle has been counterbored). Has post in globe front sight, 9508 on all numbered parts (matching). Soviet stock has very few handling marks. Includes cleaning rod and metal sling-swivels.   PHOTOS . . . $375.    C&R    SOLD

FRENCH Model 1886 M93 Lebel bolt-action infantry rifle # D23874 (8x50R Lebel) mfg. by Tulle in c.1892. Excellent condition with near-perfect mirror-bore (N-marked barrel). Metal has full oil-blacked finish on major components, front of barrel a bit crusty from age.  ALL-MATCHING serial numbers on all components, triggerguard and rear barrel-band a bit rusty. Replacement barrel dated 1916 has near-perfect bore. Has very fragile (and ancient) leather sling still attached. Not import-marked, completely functional, the finest example I have encountered in at least a decade.. PHOTOS . . . $1075.       Antique, no FFL required     SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7958s (8x57) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz) in 1943.  A Russian captured and reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 98+% re bluing, all Nazi markings have been defaced by a chisel (except for the one on the stock). The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Buttstock is laminated with flat blued buttplate. Rear barrel band is stamped, all other parts milled.  Missing cleaning-rod and locking-screws. HUNGARIAN Model 48M Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # DH1262 (7.62x54R) mfg. by FÉG (factory code 02) in 1952.  Excellent-PLUS condition (appears UNISSUED) with perfect bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All matching serial numbers. Includes cleaning rod and correct sling as well as 02-marked spike bayonet, sling, ammo-pouch, cleaning kit. Beech buttstock has ZERO handling-marks and looks totally pristine. While Hungarian PU snipers are quite scarce, regular Hungarian 91/30-type rifles like this one are extremely rare. ITALIAN Model 91 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry carbine # F4637 (6.5x52) mfg. by FNA Brescia in 1936 (the 14th year of Mussolini). Very Good overall, possibly better (has full bluing) but is literally caked with old cosmoline (just as it was when imported decades ago), battered but complete. Bore appears bright, a really good "project" for someone who likes restoring stuff. PHOTOS . . . $300.      C&R    SOLD

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano short rifle # BO6528 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in early 1941 (the 19th year of Mussolini). Very Good condition, with 80% or better original bluing remaining but no pitting, has a strong and very bright bore.  Infamous as the type of rifle Lee Harvey Oswald mail-ordered from Klein's in 1963 and used to assassinate John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22nd of that year. Stock is quite scuffed up from poor handling and storage.  PHOTOS . . . $425.     C&R     SOLD

ITALIAN Model 41 Mannlicher-Carcano infantry rifle # C872 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1941. Excellent condition, with all external bluing intact, with turned-down bolt from earlier carbine. Bore is very bright and strong. Buttstock and handguard has very few handling marks. From the stock cartouche it was rearsenaled at Terni (FAT) in 1946 and not issued since. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 8 # 34662 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in mid-1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt and bolt parts numbered 662 (matching), mum ground. This type has fixed rear sight, cylindrical bolt handle, wooden buttplate and no provision for cleaning rod. Very strong and bright bore, no import-marks, wood has very few handling marks. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 25 # 75621 (7.7x58) mfg. at Kokura in January-Fall 1945. Excellent condition with full original bluing, plum-handled bolt not matching, mum ground (as usual, but partially visible). This type has fixed peep rear sight and inverted V front sight without guards, no provision for cleaning rod, wooden buttplate. Bore is NOT chrome-lined but is very bright. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 27 # 8264 (7.7x58) mfg. at Tokyo Juki Kogyo in mid 1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt and bolt parts numbered 264 (matching). Has ground mum. This is a last-ditch rifle with fixed peep-type rear sight, inverted V front sight without guards, plum bolt handle with welded safety, wooden buttplate and no provision for cleaning rod. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt and bolt parts numbered 267 (matching), Has heavily ground mum. Features peep-ladder rear sight (without anti-aircraft wings), lacks cleaning-rod. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 77897 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1934 on a hexagonal receiver. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts stamped matching. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # PP6472 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943 on a high-wall round receiver. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts stamped matching (including letter-prefixes). Rear sight has been removed and replaced with a scout-type scope mount featuring a NeSTAR 2.5x30E long eye-relief scope. Stock is very attractive and has very few handling marks. SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # LT1743 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1941. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a somewhat bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). All matching serial numbers (no prefix letters on small parts). Has very attractive solid M44 stock with almost zero handling marks. Includes cleaning rod.  PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R   SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96B bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 435805 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustav in 1917 with straight bolt and threaded muzzle (includes metal muzzle-cap).  Near Excellent condition, with about 85% external bluing on all metal. Has mirror-bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.53/1), all-matching serial numbers except for cleaning rod (as usual). Rear sight lacks spring but it functional as-is, however a scout scope mount was previously installed and the mount with TASCO long eye-relief scope is included. Walnut stock and handguard has original finish with some handling marks (as can be expected after over a Century of use). PHOTO . . . $450.      C&R   SOLD

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # J8817 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1948 with straight bolt.  Excellent so better , an intermediate-length Mauser action with 95% bluing on the metal surfaces and a mirror-bright bore with perfect rifling. Weak Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All matching serial numbered parts. Stock is solid walnut with very few handling marks from use, includes cleaning-rod but front sight-hood AWOL.
