BRITISH Model Pattern 14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # 39887 (.303 British) mfg. in the U.S.A. by Remington in 1914.   Excellent or better condition, with over 95% original blued finish and a mirror-bright and strong bore, top of bolt handle stamped 39887 to match receiver (a British practice, as the bolts were originally not numbered).  Pointers from volley-sights removed. (as usual),  Wood is in Excellent overall condition with very few handling-marks, unit disk filled in with round wood plug. Wood all matching in color, and very attractive. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # D3074 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in November, 1944. Excellent condition, with 90% or better blued finish. All matching serial numbers, has very strong and bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Stock has original finish with expected handling marks. PHOTOS . . . $950.     C&R    SOLD

CZECH Model 98k Mauser bolt-action carbine # 4380L (8x57) mfg. by CZ Brno (factory code dov) in 1946.  Excellent-PLUS condition with all external blue intact and all-matching serial numbers (except for stock). Bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. Barrel-bands are stamped, but magazine floorplate is milled. Includes cleaning rod and front sight hood. Gorgeous laminated stock and handguard sound and with minimal handling marks.  Not import-marked, very rare code that I have never seen before and could not find in my references. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 244656 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1944 by SAKO. Good to Very Good condition with little bluing remaining. Bolt-knob stamped 4656 (matching).  Bore is extremely bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. Postwar stock (square finger joints) has only a few dings and handling marks but is extremely attractive. PHOTOS . . . $395.    C&R   SOLD

ITALIAN Model 91 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry carbine with folding spike bayonet # E145 (6.5x52) mfg. by Gardone Valtrompi in late 1935  (the XIV year of Mussolini).  Excellent condition, bore is very bright and strong. Stock and handguard has very few handling marks, very bold 1935-dated cartouche on left side. Not import marked, an extremely attractive example. PHOTOS . . . $475.   C&R   SOLD

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano short rifle # BQ6784 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in early 1940 (the XIX year of Mussolini) with rare folding bayonet. Excellent condition, with 95% or better original bluing remaining. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle # 5057695 (6.5x50), mfg. by Mukden (Manchuria) Arsenal  in c.1938.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing on all parts, bore is somewhat bright and quite strong. Mum has been ground but is still mostly visible. Includes cleaning-rod, stock has scrapes and dings but retains its original finish. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $425.     C&R  

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 30, # 54888 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in c.1941. Excellent condition with full original bluing, all matching serial numbered parts, mum nicely ground. This type has ladder rear sight, provision for monopod (missing) and plum-shaped bolt handle with checkered safety knob. Cleaning rod missing, wood has original finish and is slightly rough but no cracks. Chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Not import-marked.. PHOTO . . . $375.    C&R 

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 30, # 79655 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in c.1941. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt mismatched, but 655 on bayonet lug. Intact mum, Hiro character (for Hiroshima) stamped just before serial number.  This type has ladder rear sight with anti-aircraft wings, provision for monopod (missing) and plum-shaped bolt handle with checkered safety knob. PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # Y3004 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1931 with matching serial numbered bayonet. Excellent condition, with all-matching serial numbers. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 1959/66 A1 SKS semiautomatic rifle # D-70877 (7.62x39) mfg. by Zastava in 1967. Excellent-PLUS, essentially UNISSUED condition, with 100% bluing, perfect bore and all-matching numbers with integral bayonet, non-ported grenade-launcher and night-sights.
