ARGENTINE Model 1933 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 1104 (7.65x53) mfg. by Mauser (Oberndorf) in 1933 Excellent condition, with 90+% bluing on most parts. PROVINCIA DE BUENOS-AIRES POLICIA  above chamber bold, serial numbers all matching, no cleaning-rod. Bore is very bright and has strong lands and grooves, slightly weak but clear Mauser banner atop rear receiver (these markings were not stuck very well on any of these Model 1933 carbines). AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 3687A (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916.  Excellent-PLUS condition, arsenal refinished with full bluing. Bore is very strong and extremely bright. Top of  bolt inscribed 3687 to match.  Absolutely GORGEOUS fiddleback maple stock and handguard has the most attractive figure I have ever seen on one of these (truly amazing 3-D effect) with very few handling-marks. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action rifle # AN0031 (.303 British) mfg. at BSA Shirley in 1943  Excellent condition, full original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 4-groove barrel. Bolt is matching with 1-marked bolt head, stock and magazine stamped 0031 (matching).  Rear sight is the L-shaped flip variety. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action rifle # DC24969A (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in June 1943  Excellent-PLUS condition, full finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 4-groove barrel. Bolt is matching with 0-marked bolt head. Rear sight is the stamped ladder variety. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # BF6337 (.303 British) mfg. at BSA Shirley in 1945. Very Good  PLUS condition, with most stoving intact on external finish. Stock numbered to match, correct No.5 bolt not matching (and is "in the white").  Has very strong and bright 5-groove bore and 2-marked bolt-head. CANADIAN Enfield No.4 Mk.I* bolt-action rifle # 10L8301 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch arsenal in 1942Excellent condition, full original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 2-groove barrel. Bolt and magazine is NOT matching with 1-marked bolt head. Rear sight is the L-shaped flip variety.  Stock has very few superficial dings, darker-shade butt has Canadian arrow-in-C cartouche by grip.  Very attractive. PHOTO . . . $575.    C&R

CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # D11742 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1937.  Excellent-PLUS or better arsenal-refurbished condition, with full bluing on all metal parts. All matching serial numbers (bolt electropenciled to match), top of chamber has remnants of two-tailed rampant Czech lion that mostly was ground off during refurb. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 53088 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by VKT. Excellent condition with nearly all bluing remaining. Bolt-knob stamped 3088 (matching).  Bore is extremely bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 252820 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1944 by SAKO. Near Excellent condition with most bluing remaining. Bolt-knob stamped 2820 (matching).  Bore is extremely bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. Wartime stock (rounded finger joints) has a repaired crack on right side of tang and a few dings and handling marks, bold SAKO gear cartouche on right side. FINN Model 96B Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 506031 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1923 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle, Finn [SA] capture marking on left side of receiver.  Excellent or better condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-bright very strong bore (bore-disk indicating 6.50/1).  All-matching serial numbers (except cleaning rod).  Beech stock & handguard has its original finish, with a few handling-marks. GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 1561 (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1917.  Very Good PLUS condition, metal has most bluing.  Bolt scrubbed (likely by the Turks), no matching serial numbers, the one on the receiver added by the Turks (but no obvious Turkish property-marks on any metal parts).  Has a very strong and somewhat bright bore, with original totally-functional "roller coaster" rear sight. Includes cleaning rod. Beech buttstock has few expected handling marks and dings, with AT monogram on right side and Nazi 98k leather sling. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4803g (8x57) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 41 ) in 1941.  A Russian-capture in Excellent condition, with 95% or so bluing with bold intact Nazi eagles. Parts matched by electropenciled numbers by the Russians, has stamped barrel-bands and remaining milled parts. Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright. Has eagle / H cartouched buttstock and handguard with blued cupped buttplate. Includes repro cleaning-rod and front-sight hood.  Very attractive. PHOTO . . . $725.   C&R   SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 23262a (8x57) mfg. by Brno (code dot) in 1944. An Iraqi-marked rifle in Good to Very Good condition, with most bluing worn to gray metal and pinged Nazi eagles on left side of receiver and barrel. Iraqi triangle-stamp on top of receiver and barrel.  Has all-milled parts (solid front band) with all-matching serial numbers on numbered metal parts (the bolt and most bolt parts likely restamped to match by the Iraqis). The bore is very strong and mirror bright, includes cleaning rod, locking bolts, and what appears to be an Israeli 98k sling. The stock is a non-matching Yugoslavian 98k replacement with cupped Kriegsmodell buttplate. PHOTO . . . $675.    C&R

INDIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.3* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 25622N (.303 British) mfg. by Ishapore in 1964.  Excellent condition, with oil-blacked finish on all metal surfaces (no stoving). All matching serial numbers, has wire-wrapped forend for grenade-launching reinforcement. Includes tubular grenade launcher (great for launching tennis balls, is removable). Bore is quite bright and strong (showing little if any actual use). Walnut stock and handguards are sound with very few dings and knocks.  PHOTOS . . . $625.   C&R   SOLD

INDIAN Enfield No.2A bolt-action rifle # A22182 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1965. Excellent condition, with oil-blacked finish on external mete=al (no painted "stoving"). All matching serial numbers, bore is very bright and sharp. Stock has original finish with some contact marks, both handguards have usual small dovetailed repairs, "Ishie screw" present, another repair at heel of stock by buttplate. Includes correct sling. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano short rifle # CB2760 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in early 1941 (the XIX year of Mussolini). Excellent condition, with 95% or better original bluing remaining. Strong and very bright bore, completely functional with repaired leather sling.  This is the same type of rifle Lee Harvey Oswald ordered from Klein's in 1963 (but in better condition). PERSIAN Model 30 Mauser bolt-action saddle-ring carbine # 14015 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1931 with 18" barrel. Good to Very Good condition with little original external bluing remaining and some areas of rust but has a gorgeous, mirror-bright bore. Mismatched (but correct) bolt, rear sight has Farsi numerals, missing cleaning-rod. Stock was sanded and refinished long ago, handguard has several long cracks (but is otherwise sound). POLISH Model wz48 Mosin-Nagant single-shot bolt-action training rifle # AB15901 (.22 LR) mfg. by Radom in 1954. Excellent condition with 95% bluing on all metal parts and an excellent mirror-bright and strong bore. SOUTH AFRICAN Enfield No.4 Mk.1* bolt-action rifle # 34C9825 (.303 British) mfg. by Savage-Stevens in 1942.  Excellent condition with matching bolt (no other numbered parts). 2-groove bore is strong and mirror bright with 0-stamped bolt head, US PROPERTY on side-rail of receiver. Wood has virtually no handling marks. Has "arrow inside large U" South African property mark above chamber. PHOTOS . . . $825.     C&R

SOVIET Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # LA2480 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1944.  Excellent-PLUS original (not rearsenaled) condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All matching stamped numbers (including letter prefixes). Scope numbered b20762, matching number stamped on left side of barrel-shank. This is a SAMCO import, includes leather lens-caps and fabric cover. Stock and handguard has the inevitable scuffs in the shellac finish, but is otherwise in nice shape. SWEDISH Model 96 TARGET bolt-action Mauser rifle # 34717 (6.5x55) mfg. by Mauser Oberndorf in 1899. All-matching serial numbers (un-numbered cleaning rod). Excellent-PLUS condition with 98% bluing, bore is excellent (bore-disc marked 6.50/0). Carl Gustaf micrometer rear-sight mounted on receiver bridge, hooded front-sight with target-circle insert. Stock and handguard both have virtually zero handling marks, has pistol-grip addition. No doubt an excellent shooter (as all dedicated match-guns are). PHOTO . . . $875.    C&R    SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96B bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 477944 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustav in 1919 with straight bolt and threaded muzzle (includes metal muzzle-cap).  Near Excellent condition, with about 85% external bluing on all metal, wear only on triggerguard and rear barrel band from carry. Has mirror-bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.51/1), all-matching serial numbers (non-numbered cleaning rod). Beech stock and handguard has original finish with some handling marks (as can be expected after n early a Century of use). PHOTO . . . $450.      C&R    SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96 (41) bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 616819 (6.5x55) mfg. by Husqvarna in 1941 with factory bent bolt and unthreaded muzzle.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% external bluing on all metal, no wear at all anywhere. Has mirror-bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.52/0), all-matching serial numbers (small parts with "crooked crown" instead of last 3 digits of serial numbers, in the fashion of the Husqvarna M38 short rifles). Red beech stock and handguard has original finish with insignificant tiny nicks and dings, but otherwise looks new. Not import-marked, the very first bent-bolt long Husqvarna we have ever handled (out of over 12,000 Swedish Mausers that has gone through our hands over the past several decades).  Extremely attractive, and extremely rare.  PHOTO . . . $975.      C&R    SOLD

U.S.A. Model 99 Savage lever-action takedown rifle # 112715 (.303 Savage) mfg. by Savage Arms Co. in 1911. Very Good condition, a hammerless lever-action rifle with 24" barrel and novel rotary magazine with cartridge counter window on left side. Nearly full original bluing present with wear in front of lever (the natural balance point) and a very sharp and shiny bore. Stock has some very minor scuffs and scratches. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # D6101 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1949 (receiver marked 3ABOД 44).  Excellent condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 95% or better original bluing on all metal components and a sharp mirror-bore. Strong Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. Bolt numbered D6101 (matching), magazine floorplate and stock numbered 6101 (matching). Stock is walnut and has original finish.
