COLOMBIAN Model 47 bolt-action rifle # 0182-58 (.30-06),  mfg. by Madsen in 1958.   Excellent condition, with 94% original black-painted finish, bore is mirror-perfect.  Stock has a few minor scuffs and dings, includesw tan leather sling. This was the last military bolt-action designed for general use (complete with very effective muzzle-break and recoil-pad), not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $950.      C&R     SOLD

EGYPTIAN "Rasheed" semiautomatic carbine # 7952 (7.62x39), mfg. at Maadi  in 1968. Excellent condition, with full external bluing and a mirror chrome-line bore. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 9611 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1927 with stepped barrel.   Very Good or better condition with full bluing on barrel and a strong bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). No matching serial numbers, includes cleaning-rod and metal sling swivels.  Finn two-piece wartime stock has some of the expected handling marks from actual service use, Russian letters scratched on left side, and a thin diagonal crack on right side by front sling swivel. FINN Model P-27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 14943 (7.62x54R) mfg. by AV1 in 1927 with blued receiver. Very Good condition with most bluing intact. Bore is somewhat bright with pronounced rifling, has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. No matching numbered parts, top of receiver flat stamped with large T and number 3.   Includes cleaning-rod and bolt-type sling swivels, one-piece Russian stock has some scrapes and gouges but no cracks. FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # S102719 (7.62x54R) undated barrel mfg. by Tikka. Very Good condition with 80% or better original bluing with a bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). No matching serial numbers, original serial number on left side of barrel-shank 32410 has been crossed-through, bolt has four different seial number (none of which match anything), S102719 (used as serial number) stamped on right barrel-shank represnts the Civil Guard unit stationed at Etelä-Pohjanmaa itäinen in the province of South Ostrobithinia.  Includes cleaning-rod, two-piece stock has quite a few scuffs and other handling marks.  PHOTOS . . . $675.   C&R   

FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 71805 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1935 by Tula on a hex receiver, [SA] Finn property marked on lefy side of barrel-shank.. Excellent condition with 90% bluing remaining. All matching serial numbers, bore is bright and very strong.  Finn two-piece "potbelly" stock looks new with very few dings and handling-marks. RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 74123 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1900.   Very Good condition, with 80% or so bluing and a strong bore that has pronounced rifleing has been counterbored at muzzle. SOVIET Model 1891/59 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # ZG1714 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mostly-bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). All numbered parts stamped matching (including letter prefixes).  Stock has some scrapes in shellac from storage. Includes cleaning rod. The 1891/59 is a 91/30 infantry rifle that has been reconfigured to a M38 carbine with the upper graduations of the rear sight milled off. PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R       SOLD

U.S.A. First Model Merrill breech-loading saddle-ring carbine # 9158 (.54 caliber) mfg. by James H. Merrill (Baltimore) in 1862.  Good or better condition with some external encrustations on unblued metal.  Has a 22 1/8" barrel and a decent bore with some of the expected light pitting, but lands and grooves are quite prominent.   The Merrill carbine has a unique tilting block action and this specimen is completely functional.  Stock is quite battered from obvious service use, non-critical hairline crack on left side next to comb.  Not import-marked, operational Civil War era carbines are quite rarely encountered. U.S.A. Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield rifle # 268636 (.45-70) mfg. by Springfield Arsenal in 1885 with bold 1884 dated cartouche on left side of stock. Very Good overall condition with most external bluing remaining. Bore is extremely bright and very strong.  Sound walnut stock has boxed SWP 1884 cartouche as well as very interesting DETROIT BOARD OF COMMERCE (!) rectangular cartouche on left side towards butt. Includes very worn leather sling. U.S.A. Model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield CADET short rifle # 566738 (.45-70) mfg. by Springfield Arsenal in 1892 (one of 2,320 Cadet rifles produced that year). Near Excellent condition with most external bluing remaining (breech block has vivid case colors). U.S.A. Model of 1917 bolt-action infantry rifle # 96633 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in 1917 with a W 2-18 replacement barrel.  Very Good or better condition with dark Parkerized surfaces. Bore has strong lands & grooves but not very bright (reflected in the price).  Walnut stock has attractive grain with very few handling marks, one small 1" x 1/4" missing piece on right side of forend (likely an arsenal repair that became detached).  Not import marked.  PHOTOS . . . $750.*    C&R    SOLD
