BRITISH No.1 Mk.III* Enfield bolt-action rifle # X5183 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1917. Very Good condition with much bluing remaining with all matching serial numbers. Has a very strong and bright 4-groove bore. Walnut stock and handguard looks to have been pressure-washed to remove cosmoline, Ishapore screw through stock in front of magazine. Very Good, much original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 2-groove barrel. Bolt is not matching with 0-marked bolt head. Stocks has a few dings, scratches and handling-marks having been utilized for their intended purpose. Rear sight is the L-shaped flip type. Proudly wears a SKS sling for whatever reason. Very Good, much original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 4-groove barrel. Bolt is matching with 0-marked bolt head. EGYPTIAN "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 2138 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1956 . Excellent condition, over 95% original bluing with a mirror-bright very strong bore. Beech stock has original finish and only a couple minor handling-marks. Includes removable 10-round magazine and brown leather military sling. PHOTOS . . . $650.    C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 16627 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1941 by VKT on a hex receiver. Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing. Bolt body force-matched 16627 (matching), bore is a bit dark with some crud in the grooves (will likely "shoot clean"), includes cleaning-rod. One-piece Russian stock has quite a few scuffs, dings and handling marks and a smart dent on right forend, but is sound without any cracks. PHOTOS . . . $225.   C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 37494 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by Fabrique National on a hex receiver. Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing. Bolt body numbered 37494 (matching), bore is very bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece Finn stock has a few dings and handling marks. Includes metal sling swivels. FINN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # K3733 (7.35 Carcano) mfg. by Terni in 1939. Very Good condition, metal shows wear only at corners but bluing is thinning. This rifle does have a gorgeous, mirror-bright bore, fixed rear sight marked 7.35. Buttstock serial number does not match receiver and it has some of the expected handling marks from actual service use. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . . $275.    C&R   

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle Series 33, # 9415 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in Early 1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing, chrome-lined bore is strong and mirror-bright. Mum neatly ground, has cylindrical bolt-handle with rough welded safety, No serial number on bolt (or any bolt parts), includes original cleaning rod with lame repro leather sling. Stock finish in original and intact, with a few minor handling marks and compressions. Not import-marked. PHOTO . . . $325.    C&R  

POLISH Model K98 small-ring Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 59005 (8x57mm) mfg. by Radom in c.1920.  Very Good condition with a very sharp and bright bore. Top of receiver markings were scrubbed (as usual) but they did an excellent job and it is hard to believe a crest was ever there. Bluing is 80% or so, browning on small parts. No matching serial numbers. Walnut stock has a few handling-marks and dings, no cleaning rod. Not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $450.    C&R

PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # C8356 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Near Excellent condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Nearly full bluing (turning brown on triggerguard, magazine floorplate and barrel-bands from carry with sweaty hands) with a nice mirror-bright bore, no cleaning-rod. Walnut stock has some attractive but subtle tigerstripe figure, and includes attached brown-leather (Swedish?) military sling.  Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle. ROMANIAN Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # UR1445 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in 1938.  Excellent refurbished condition with a very sharp if not very bright bore. Romanian crest was scrubbed (as usual) but they did an excellent job and it is hard to believe a crest was ever there. Bluing is 90% or so, browning on small parts. Bore is a bit dark but rifling is strong and will likely "shoot clean". No number on bolt or buttstock. Walnut stock has a few minor handling-marks and compressions, no cleaning rod. Includes front sight protector and brown leather military sling. PHOTOS . . . $350.    C&R

SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # XT603 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1939. Excellent-PLUS refurbished condition with 99+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All stamped matching numbers (including letter prefixes, the serial on the magazine floorplate has been lined-out and restamnped to match the rest of the carbine) with gorgeous M44 buttstock having only a few minor scrapes in its finish. SOVIET Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # MC538 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1944. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (has been counterbored at muzzle). All numbered parts stamped matching with prefixes (magazine floorplate lined through and restamped to match), stock  has very few handling marks. Includes cleaning rod and 1952-dated web-sling. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (has been counterbored at muzzle). SPANISH Model 1893 Mauser bolt-action sporterized rifle # S8571 (7x57), mfg. by Oviedo in 1909.  Very Good condition with most bluing remaining (triggerguard and magazine floorplate looks to have been chrome-plated) and a mostly bright very strong bore. Non-matching bolt has been turned down and swept back, forend of buttstock lopped off and handguard is AWOL. Walnut stock has oil finish with a few light scratches and handling marks. TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 8927 (8mm),  altered by Ankara in 1945.  Very Good condition, with most bluing remaining (faded to nothing on barrel-bands, triggerguard and magazine floorplate from carry). Has very strong markings and a somewhat bright and very strong bore.  Bolt not matching, only rear sight matches (painted 927 on right side). Walnut stock is sound with a curious section of wood missing on right side, crack in handguard repaired. Bent bolt has bottom of knob flattened. Functional.  PHOTOS . . . $275.   C&R   

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 1959/66A1 SKS semiautomatic rifle # F-136054 (7.62x39) mfg. by Zastava  in 1969. Excellent condition with full external bluing and excellent or better shiny bore.
