BRITISH Lee Metford Mk. II bolt-action rifle # 1610 (converted from its original .303 to .22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms Co. in c. 1893.  An undated commercial Long Lee officially converted by Vickers in the late teens in Very Good overall condition. Has fully blued finish with very bright and strong bore. Top of barrel-shank marked VICKERS and REGULATED BY FULTON. Front and rear volley-sights have been removed but has magazine cut-off still attached. No magazine, rear sight has windage adjustment, muzzle stamped PARKERIFLED A.G.P. Bolt is matching receiver. Forend of buttstock officially trimmed, arsenal repairs to heel and toe of butt, else sound, missing rear sling-swivel. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action infantry rifle # 228874 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Remington in 1917. Near Excellent condition with complete bluing on all metal parts and a mostly bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle).  Bolt matching, nothing else does (usual for a Finn). Bore is very strong and bright. Stock has some handling marks and a rectangular arsenal repair on left side. Includes cleaning rod and sling. PHOTOS . . . $400.    C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 24 "Lotta" Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 24576 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1924 by SIG with stepped barrel. No matching numbers, bore is bright with strong rifling and is counter-bored at muzzle.  Includes cleaning-rod and sewn-on green web sling. Two-piece Finn stock has a few scrapes and other handling-marks, but is still quite attractive. PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R   SOLD

FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 81153 (7.62x54R) undated. Very Good condition with 75% fading bluing. Bolt-body matching, bore is mostly bright and strong, has been counterbored at muzzle. Two-piece stock has quite a few handling-marks and scratches, but is sound. PHOTOS . . . $475.   C&R   

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 32894 (7.62x54R) mfg. by VKT in 1941.  Very Good condition with some bluing remaining and a mostly-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, includes cleaning-rod and worn green-leather sling. Left side of barrel-shank is proof-marked by Germany in Nov. 1995. Stock has some handling-marks and dings from storage. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 9522h (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code S/42G) in 1935. A completely original, all matching very early (2nd year) 98k (100% guaranteed) in Excellent condition with 95% or better original bluing on the external metal and a mirror-bright bore. All parts have totally matching original serial numbers. All-milled parts (naturally) and original leather sling (with buckle) and cleaning rod.  Buttstock is solid walnut with quite a few of the expected handling marks from actual service use (but is still very attractive) and retains legible cartouches.  Not import marked, and worthy of the finest collection!  PHOTO . . . $2750.    C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1180m (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code S/42G) in 1935. A Russian capture with no matching numbers in Very Good condition with 80% or better reblued metal but surfaces exhibit pinprick light pitting. Bore is rough but strong and shootable. All-milled parts, missing cleaning rod (we sell nice reproduction rods for $12.00)  and has leather (Yugo) sling with buckle. Buttstock is solid walnut with sanded area on left side but has clear eagle cartouche on right side.  PHOTO . . . $450.    C&R  

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 767n (8x57) mfg. by ERMA (code ax) in 1940. An early Navy Arms import in Excellent condition with 90% or better original bluing on the external metal and a mirror-bright bore. No matching numbers except for the Mauser (WaA135) bolt which matches itself but not any other part. Has all-milled parts and original leather sling (with buckle), sight hood and cleaning rod.  Buttstock is laminated with somewhat clear eagle proof and flat buttplate. Includes locking-screws, a very attractive example.  PHOTO . . . $650.    C&R  

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1445g (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde (code ar) in 1941. A Yugoslavian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and intact Nazi markings. Has all-milled parts and reproduction cleaning rod. (not shown in photo) The bore is a bit rough but strong.  Buttstock is solid walnut with very clear eagle proof and cupped buttplate. Includes locking-screws, front sight hood, and Yugo leather 98k sling with buckle. PHOTO . . . $575.    C&R  

GERMAN Model G43 SCOPED semiautomatic rifle # 3008c (8mm) mfg. by Gustloff-Werke II (Buchenwald) code bcd in 1944. Excellent condition, all-matching numbers. Near perfect mirror-bore, 95% external finish, laminated stock and handguard has some dings and scratches from actual use, but nothing major (the handguard has the usual very thin hairline crack by rear sight). Missing muzzle-nut, the rifle itself is totally original and matching, sliding action-cover zf4 scope (marked ddx) and scope mount modern reproductions. Includes front sight-hood, cleaning rod and correct leather sling as well as gcb code K43 magazine (with flaking black enamel paint). Not import-marked., purchased 10/18/2011 from Darrin Weaver, author of "Hitler's Garands", the standard reference for the G41 and G43 rifles. PHOTOS . . . $3750.    C&R   SOLD

GERMAN Model  GSG-StG44 Schmeisser semiautomatic rifle # A47189 (.22 LR).  A modern copy of the last semiautomatic rifle used by the Wehrmacht during WWII.  Slightly used condition, with sling and 25-round magazine. INDIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 36733F (.303 British) mfg. by Ishapore arsenal in 1942.   Excellent condition, with full oil-blackened finish, all-matching numbers. Wire-wrapped forend for grenade-launching reinforcement.  Bore is mirror-bright and strong (showing little if any actual use). POLISH Model wz48 Mosin-Nagant single-shot bolt-action training rifle # ABO0375 (.22 LR) mfg. by Radom in 1954. Near Excellent condition with 85% bluing on all metal parts and an excellent mirror-bright and strong bore. RUSSIAN Model VEPR semiautomatic Kalashnikov carbine # 11VBK7457 (7.62x54R) mfg. by MOLOT in 2012. A like-new (unfired) example of the highest quality carbine (16" barrel) based on the RPK machine gun and having a thumbhole stock.  Extremely accurate and dependable, this comes with two factory 5-round magazine as well as a 10-round SGM TACTICAL magazine (shown). SOUTH AFRICAN Enfield No.4 Mk.1* bolt-action rifle # 18L0352 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch in 1942 with South African property mark ( in U) atop chamber. Near Excellent condition with nearly full bluing on metal and all-matching serial numbers. 2-groove bore extremely strong and mirror-bright. Rear sight is of the milled ladder type. Beech stock and handguards have some superficial handling-marks but otherwise shows little signs of wear, Canadian cartouches (arrow in C) on bottom of both butt and forend. SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # DI3102 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943.  Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with 99+% remaining bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All matching numbers (including letter prefixes).  Birch stock has some very minor nicks and scrapes in the finish. Includes cleaning rod and correct sling. PHOTOS . . . $400.    C&R   

SOVIET Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # Db4246 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1942. Excellent refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal, bore is excellent and mirror-bright. SPANISH Model 43 short rifle # 2J-9299 (8mm) mfg. by La Coruna in 1955. Very similar to a 98k in appearance, but with an auxiliary bayonet-lug (like the Chilean & Argentine-type bayonet) and no sling-slot through wood. Near excellent condition with all-matching serial numbers, maple stock has nice figure with only a few handling-marks since. Not import marked.  PHOTOS . . . $275.    C&R    SOLD

SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 609241 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1941 with bent-bolt and threaded muzzle, Good to Very Good external condition, with very little original bluing on barrel (likely from overaggressive cleaning). Has a mirror-perfect bore, stock disk stamped 6.49/1.  Rear sight is early type (100-600 meters), bolt (and all bolt parts) matches receiver, nothing else is numbered. Beech stock & handguard has some scratches, dings and other handling-marks with a used but correct brown-leather sling, front sight hood and muzzle-break. PHOTOS . . . $425.     C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3669437 (.30-06) mfg. by Smith Corona in early 1943 with RA 5-44 dated barrel.  Excellent condition with nearly all remaining gray Parkerizing remaining. Has an exceptional bore (TE = 3 MW = less than 0). Walnut stock has only a few handling marks and dings. Receiver and barrel markings a bit weak. Includes 1942-dated leather sling. Not import-marked. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2299444 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1943 with a SA-9-54 replacement barrel. A typical arsenal refurb in Near Excellent condition with most gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and very strong (TE = 4, MW = 2.0). Has all SA-marked parts. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # N1216 (8x57) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950 with RADIONIKA 145 marking on left receiver rail.  Near Excellent condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 90% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces with little apparent wear and a sharp mirror-bore. Weak Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All-matching numbers, with milled triggerguard and magazine-floorplate and straight bolt handle. Walnut stock and handguard is a bit beat up but sound with no cracks. Includes cleaning-rod but no front sight-hood. PHOTOS . . . $250.     C&R  

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48BO Mauser bolt-action rifle # W10995 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1957. Excellent condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 95% or better original bluing and a sharp mirror-bore. No crest above chamber or manufacturer's markings All-matching numbers, with stamped triggerguard, front band and magazine-floorplate.  Bent bolt has flattened bottom. Stock has some very minor scuffs and scratches. Includes sling, cleaning-rod and front sight-hood. PHOTOS . . . $395.     C&R
