ARGENTINE Model 1909/47 Mauser bolt-action cavalry carbine # 012530 (7.65x54) mfg. by F.M.A.P. (Rosario, Argentina) in 1951.  Very Good condition, with full bluing turning a bit brown from age.  Bold Argentine crest above chamber.  Bolt not matching (numbered 012508, which is close), remaining numbered parts match receiver. This carbine has an excellent mirror-bright bore, stock has a few scuffs and expected handling-marks.  PHOTOS . . . $475.   C&R   

CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action carbine # B2591 (7x57) mfg. by Ludwig Loewe in 1895 with 18" barrel and bent-bolt. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all metal. Excellent PLUS bore with very strong rifling and very bright lands & grooves. Nearly all-matching numbers including bolt, cleaning-rod and stock, magazine-floorplate stamped 95. Chilean crest above chamber quite weak but discernable. Straight-grained walnut stock was lightly sanded and refinished over a Century ago, with many dings and other handling-marks since. CZECH Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 9367r (8mm) mfg. by Brno in late 1945.  A basically UNISSUED all-correct postwar rifle in excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% bluing and all-matching serial numbers. Top of receiver has been scrubbed, near perfect and quite stunning Kriegsmodell laminated stock with stamped small parts and winter triggerguard. Bore is perfect and mirror-bright. No cleaning rod (stock not routed for one), but has front sight protector. PHOTOS . . . $950.    C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 8210i (8x57mm) mfg. by DWM in 1916.  Excellent condition, metal has been reblued (receiver originally produced "in the white"). No matchi9ng serial numbered parts, bolt is from a Turk CZ22 with Arabic numerals and half moon on knob (no other Turkish markings present). Bore is quite strong and extremely bright without pitting. Has original "roller coaster" rear sight the operates as intended, includes cleaning rod. Walnut buttstock with Beech handguard has been heavily sanded and nicely refinished with zero handling marks since.  Quite attractive, and ideal for WWI re-enactors. PHOTOS . . . $650.      C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Standard Modell Mauser bolt-action rifle # B58853 (8x57mm), mfg. by Mauser in circa 1932 with MAUSER BANNER atop chamber.  Near Excellent condition with full original bluing (turning brown from age). Correct straight bolt, but no matching serial numbers anywhere. Bore is very sharp and quite bright, receiver has commercial BUGN proofs, missing its cleaning rod.  Finger-groove walnut stock retains its original finish and is sound with no cracks. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8261k  (8x57) mfg. by Erma (factory code 27) in 1939.   A Russian-capture rifle with matching Soviet electropenciled numbers in Excellent or better condition, with full bluing and very strong Nazi markings. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 49604a (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (factory code byf) in 1944.  Good to Very Good condition, with very little remaining bluing but this is an all matching rifle (all numbered parts stamped 9604) except for the bolt (which has mixed serial numbers).  Nazi eagle / swastikas proofs are very bold and clear. ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 12732c (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Mauser (factory code byf) in 1944.  Near Excellent condition, with most remaining bluing and a mirror-bright bore. Nazi eagle / swastikas proof has been obliterated by an 8-pointed star, and a small Star of David has been stamped atop the receiver.  No matching serial numbers, the Beech stock has obvious signes of actual use, with several lights graffito scratches.  No cleaning rod, but retains its front sight hood.  PHOTO . . . $725.    C&R     SOLD

ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 610420  (7.62x51 NATO)  mfg. by Fabrique National in the early 1950's. Very Good condition with 70% bluing on all metal surfaces, parts fading to brown. Has mismatched bolt (as usual), no other numbered parts. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong. Has bold IDF crest at top of receiver. Very Good or better condition, with 65% or better original bluing on all parts, barrel, barrel-bands, and triggerguard/magazine floorplate has fading from carry. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.50/2).  All visible serial numbered parts matching (non-numbered cleaning rod) Walnut stock (with much fiddleback figure) has many small nicks, dings and handling-marks from actual use. SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 138116 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1903 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle. Very Good condition, with 50% or better fading bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/2).  All bolt parts, bolt-release and buttplate stamped 116 (matching), remainder of parts mixed, rear sight has VÄSTERÅS wheel-type insert. SWEDISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 667036 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent-bolt and non-threaded muzzle.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-bright very strong bore (bore-disk indicating 6.53/3).  T-type rear sight has 150 meter zero. All matching serial numbers (036), some bolt parts electro-penciled, remainder parts stamped with crooked crowns. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # A62178 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on all metal components and a sharp mirror-bore. Sharply struck Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All matching serial numbers. Elm stock looks as-new. Includes cleaning-rod and front sight-hood. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action SNIPER rifle # K28743 (8x57) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent condition (slightly used).  This is a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with high-turret MAUSER BANNER marked mounts having 90% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces with no apparent wear and an excellent bright bore. The upper mount is made by the Bosnian company ZRAK and was what was originally used on this rifle (though it currently holds a commercial Bushnell 1.5x4 Banner scope). The scope-mount is solid and is sighted-in. All matching serial numbers, with milled triggerguard and magazine-floorplate and bent bolt handle with bottom of knob flattened. FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 36220 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by Fabrique National on a post-1898 receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong, bolt-body numbered 36220 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate scrubbed. FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 40917 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by Fabrique National on a post-1898 receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% bluing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (looks unfired), bolt-knob numbered 0917 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate scrubbed. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 47623 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1943 on a 1914-dated Sestroryetsk receiver with AZF Austrian capture marking from WWI. Near Excellent condition with mostly complete bluing on all metal parts and a strong very bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Bolt body stamped 47623 (matching), numbers on magazine-floorplate and buttplate scrubbed. FINN Model 24 "Lotta" Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 612 (7.62x54R), undated stepped barrel mfg. by S.I.G. Neuhausen on a Remington hexagonal receiver, barrel marked KLP for issuance to a communications battalion.   Near Excellent with 85% or better remaining bluing on all metal parts with a hexagonal receiver and and a mostly bright bore with strong rifling (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Bolt-knob stamped 612 (matching), struck-through number S48499 stamped on left side of receiver and side of bolt (for the Pohjois Kymenlaakso Civil Guard district, the Kymi valley located in southern Finland). Bolt has three numbers stamped on it (none of which matches either the serial number or the Civil Guard number on the rifle). FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 227546 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by SAKO on a post-1898 receiver. Excellent condition with 95% or better postwar bluing. Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate numbered 7546 (matching).  Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (and NOT counterbored). Nicely figured wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has bold SAKO cartouche and only the expected dings from handling and storage, handguard has a couple non-critical thin cracks. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 59039 (7.62x54R), barrel by VKT in 1942 on 1898 dated Tula receiver.  Excellent condition, with 95+% original bluing on all parts and very strong markings. Bolt-knob stamped 9039 (matching).  Bore is mirror-bright with perfect rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Finn two-piece postwar stock (squared finger-joints) has a few small circular plug-repairs with some dings and other handling marks. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 259046 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1945.  Near Excellent condition, with 85% bluing and an excellent near-mirror bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 9046 to match. Postwar stock (squared finger-joints) shows some minor marks from handling and storage, small non-critical diagonal crack on left side by rear sight (see photo). Includes cleaning-rod. POLISH Model wz48 Mosin-Nagant single-shot bolt-action training rifle # RK0020 (.22 LR) mfg. by Radom in 1956.
