BRITISH Mark IV Webley revolver # 97729 (.455 Webley), mfg. by Webley & Sons in 1913. Very Good condition, with much evently worn to gray finish (no pitting). All matching serial numbers, back of cylinder NOT shaved for .45 ACP (as so many are).  Back of grip unit marked to Battery L, Royal Horse Artillery in April, 1913.  Slightly worn checkered Vulcanite grips ande lanyard-ring.  Bore is strong and very bright, with very tight action and smooth functioning.  Not import marked, this military unit was involved in the WWI battle referred to as "The Affair of Néry" on  1 September 1914 in which three soldiers of L Battery, Royal Horse Artillery were awarded the Victoria Cross for valor (Englands highest military honor).   Rare.  PHOTOS  . . . $1450.      C&R    SOLD

BRITISH Mark IV Webley revolver # B63778 (.38 Smith & Wesson), mfg. by Webley & Sons in c.1952. Excellent condition, with 95% or better original blued finish. All matching serial numbers, has crisp Vulcanite grips, complete with lanyard-ring and Canadian-marked green web full-flap holster.  Bore is strong and bright.  Very tight action and smooth functioning. GERMAN Model P-08 Luger semiautomatic pistol rig with holster # 4909 (9mm) mfg. by Erfurt in 1914, with 1920 authorization (Treaty of Versailles). Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better bluing.    All matching serial numbers (smaller parts all stamped  09). Has crowned letters on front of triggerguard and top of toggle (indicating German military acceptance during WWI) and has defaced police unit-markings on front strap.  Checkered walnut grips are unchipped (also not numbered).  Includes one wood-bottomed magazine and WaA63-marked aluminum magazine. All military markings clear and pistol is completely functional (and not bad looking).   Brown leather full-flap h/olster has 1940 date and was made in Vienna (Wein), tongue fastener detached but present.   Not import marked.   PHOTOS . . . $1950.    C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model P-08 Luger semiautomatic pistol # 7541 (9mm) mfg. by DWM in early 1920's (undated). Very Good condition, with 60% or better bluing.  Has crowned N commercial proofs on left side.  All matching serial numbers (smaller parts all stamped  41).  Checkered walnut grips are unchipped (also not numbered).  All parts atamped 41 (matching), has one wood-bottomed magazine.   Is import marked.   PHOTOS . . . $1475.    C&R     SOLD

GERMAN Model P-08 Luger semiautomatic pistol rig with holster and two matching magazines # 5711L (9mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1940. Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better bluing.  All matching serial numbers (smaller parts all stamped  11), bottom of both magaziners stamped 5711L.  Checkered walnut grips are unchipped (also not numbered).  All military markings clear and pistol is completely functional (and very attractive).   Black leather full-flap h/olster has jhz / 1942 date and is in excellent condition. GERMAN Model P38 Walther semiautomatic pistol # b1691 & b1692 (9mm Parabellum) mfg. at Spreewerk in March 1945.   Both Excellent-PLUS condition with great surfaces. All matching serial numbers, Excellent mirror-bright bores.  Strong markings, includes one correct WaA88-marked  magazine and one commercial Walther P38 magazine.  Seriaql b1692 has a cog hammer.   Not import marked. JAPANESE  Type 14 semiautomatic pistol rig with holster, Series 2 # 59682 (8mm Nambu) mfg. at Nagoya in October, 1944.  Excellent condition with 95% or better original bluing. All matching serial numbers including magazine. Bore is extremely bright and strong, markings are very sharp, and grooved wooden grips are sound with no cracks. U.S.A. "Victory Model" revolver # V25906 (.38 Special) with 4" barrel and NAVY markings, manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1942.   Very Good condition with gray Parkerized finish and a near-perfect bore, U. S. NAVY marked on left top-strap, case-colors still vivid on hammer and trigger. All-matching serial numbers, very few contact-marks on metal and grips.   Not import-marked, rare. FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 387775 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1917 by Tula with "Peter The Great" legend and [SA] Finnish property-marks. Very Good PLUS condition with 85% or better bluing (less on triggerguard from being carried). Bolt body stamped 387775 (matching), bore is mostly bright with strong rifling (has been conterbored at muzzle), includes cleaning-rod. Excellent condition with nearly full bluing. Bore is extremely bright with very strong rifling, has been counterbored at muzzle, Bolt body stamped 861365 (matching), magazine floorplate scrubbed (as usual), Setroryetsk-made buttplate not matching.  Includes cleaning-rod and metal sling swivels.  Original Wesinghouse stock has vry faint circular "English Contract" cartouche on left side. FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 223637 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Remington Armory in 1917.  Very Good Plus, with 90% or better bluing, very bold markings with both Czarist eagles, Finnish property-mark [SA] on left side of barrel-shank.   Bolt and magazine-floorplate numbers ground-off (both mfg. at Sestroryetsk), buttplate mismatched. Bore is very strong and mirror-bright.  Stock is quite sound but roughly refinished by the Finns, no handguard (early bands). FINN Model 24 "Lotta" Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 8636 (7.62x54R) stepped barrel mfg. by Bohler-Stahl on a hex receiver.  Very Good condition, with 70% or better bluing, bore is dirty but has strong rifling (is counterbored at muzzle for increased accuracy). Bolt body restamped 3636 (matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate scrubbed (as usual).   Two-piece Finn stock has scuff on left side and some dings from transportation and storage. FINN Model 24 "Lotta" Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 26239 (7.62x54R) stepped barrel mfg. by Bohler-Stahl on a hex receiver.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing, bore is very bright with strong rifling (is NOT counterbored at muzzle). Bolt body stamped 6239 (matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate not matching (as usual).   Russian stock has some handling marks, very thin crack in handguard. FINN Model P-27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 13948 (7.62x54R) mfg. by AV1 in 1927 with receiver "in the white" (unblued). Excellent or better condition with most bluing intact (except for barrel, which was not originally blued). Bore is very bright with pronounced rifling, has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. Bolt body numbered 13948 (matching).   Includes cleaning-rod, one-piece Russian stock has some scrapes and gouges but no cracks. (rated R9).   PHOTOS . . . $950.*      C&R   

FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 44730 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka  in 1931.  Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing and a mostly bright bore (is NOT counterbored at muzzle).  Bolt-body numbered 44730 (matching, with wings).  Two-piece M27 stock (with "lolipop-stick" braces) has a couple minior scrapes and a very interesting and extremely well-done arsenal repair to left side.  PHOTOS . . . $850.    C&R    

FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 52072 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka  in 1932. Near Excellent condition, with 80% or better bluing and a somewhat bright bore (is counterbored at muzzle).  Bolt-body numbered 52072 (matching, with wings).  One-piece M27 stock (with "lolipop-stick" braces) has considerable handling marks from actual service use, and two intentional "kill-notches" carved on bottom.  PHOTOS . . . $675.    C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 29397 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka  on an scrubbed receiver.   Very Good condition, with 60% or better fading bluing and a very bright bore.  Bolt knob numbered 367 (NOT matching, but loikely just an inverted digit). S88034 on right side of barrel-shank (Kainuu Guard district, located in east-central Finland).  One-piece stock with double sling-slots has original finish with the expected dings and dents from actual service usage.  PHOTOS . . . $975.        C&R    

FINN Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # CM1780 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Izhevsk in 1939 on a round receiver.   Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and a strong, mostly bright bore that has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. Bolt-body stamped 1780 (matching), remaining numbered parts NOT matching.  Russiaan one-piece stock has been sanded long ago with a few dings and handling marks. Includes cleaning rod. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 62412 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1944 on a hexagonal receiver.   Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and a strong, mirror bright bore that has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. Bolt-body stamped 62412 (matching) and has stacked blade front sight.  Finn two-piece potbelly stock has only a few dings and handling marks. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 46008 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Izhevsk in 1931 on a hex receiver and double-dated MO 1931/52.   Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and a strong very bright bore that has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. SOVIET Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # ZHOO8335 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent-PLUS refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts numbered 8335 (matching, without letter prefixes), has bent bolt handle.  Refurbished (in 1951) PU scope numbered 4422845, 8335 stamped on left side of scope mount, scope number 4422845 restamped om left side of barrel-shank.  Stock and handguard has very few scuffs in the shellac finish from use and storage, but is otherwise in nice shape. Scope optics are bright and clear, includes correct web sling with leather keepers. Not a reproduction, a very early Century import (c.1996) and the real deal.  PHOTOS . . . $2250.*     C&R     SOLD

SOVIET Model 91/59 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 19232 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1926 on a hexagonal receiver.  Excellent-PLUS arsenal refinished condition, with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All numbered parts stamped 19232.  Bore is mostly bright (has been NOT counterbored at muzzle).
