     ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # W0977 (7.65x54) mfg. by DWM in 1901. Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better bluing, crest has been ground off top of receiver (as usual). Metal parts numbered to receiver (not including stock and cleaning-rod). Bore is excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has original finish with some small dings and handling marks from actual public use. Features long handguard. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $325.    C&R    SOLD

    BRITISH Lee Enfield Mark I* bolt-action rifle # 8070i (.303 British) mfg. by London Small Arms in 1902. Very Good or better condition with around 80% external bluing and a very bright and strong bore. Bolt matching, has sliding dust-cover, both volley sights on left side intact, with magazine cut-off.  Stock is sound with some handling marks but original finish, buttplate stamped with unit number 8KR / 477, forend has some vivid tigerstripe figure with original black leather sling tied with leather thong.  Scarce and quite a handsome example for a 112 year old long Lee.  PHOTOS . . . $1450.    C&R   SOLD

    BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1 Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifle # PC24420 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in 1944 with FTR 48 markings.   Near Excellent condition, with over 80% original metal finish, matching bolt and magazine, and a gorgeous mirror 4-groove bore.  Has 1-marked bolt-head, rear sight is of the milled ladder type.  Nice birch stock and handguards with a few light dings and scratches from actual use and an ill-fitting buttplate. Includes undated web-sling. Very discrete import marks on left side of receiver. PHOTOS . . . $425.     C&R    SOLD

    COLOMBIAN Model 1950 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 408 (.,30-06) made by Fabrique National. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% or better bluing on all metal parts and very little apparent wear. Has no receiver markings and a very bright and strong bore, barrel is extended with threaded muzzle for use with grenade-launcher attachment (not present). Matching bolt and stock (no other parts are numbered on these), walnut stock & handguard looks as if it was lightly sanded decades ago, with some minor handling marks since. Includes cleaning rod. These are commonly attributed to MOROCCO for some reason, but many I have seen have Hispanic names scratched into the stocks and many ex-Colombian military veterans have identified rifles that they were actually issued while in the Colombian Army.     DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Model 1953 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 1421 (7x57mm), mfg. in 1961. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% or better bluing on all metal parts and very little apparent wear. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore. Matching bolt (no other parts are numbered on these), walnut stock & handguard is nearly flawless with original furniture-type finish. Includes new-looking (certainly unused) tan leather sling and cleaning rod. Not import-marked, very scarce in original 7mm (most were later rechambered to .30-06) and rare so nice.     FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 51683 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by VKT in 1942 with antique 1897-dated Tula receiver. Very Good or better condition, with 70% or better bluing and strong markings. Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate both stamped 1683 (matching). Bore is mirror-bright with strong rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Finn three-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has quite a few dings and handling marks. Includes cleaning rod.     FRENCH Modéle 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # H15217 (7.5x54) mfg. by St. Éttienne in December 1939. Very Good PLUS condition, NOT arsenal refurbished with 80% external stoving (black enamel) finish. All matching numbers with shiny, bright bore and somewhat faint cartouches on stock.     FRENCH Model 1949-56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # G22868 (7.5x54) manufactured at St. Etienne in c.1970. Excellent-PLUS condition, with all Parkerizing intact and virtually no signs of wear. Has great mirror-bright bore. Includes full compliment of accessories (four ten-round magazines, rubber buttpad, bayonet with scabbard, night sights and more packaged accessories.     HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 2836J (8x56R) mfg. by Budapest in 1917. Excellent re-arsenaled condition with 100% remaining bluing. Bore and actio0n is clogged with cosmoline. Bolt knob stamped to match, stock likewise stamped 2836 on left side. Stock and handguard has numerous small scratches and dings, but does not appear to have ever been sanded. Quite attractive. PHOTO . . . $150.     C&R   SOLD

    ISRAELI Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 539890 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1954.  Very Good condition, with mottled bluing on metal surfaces, small parts turning brown with age. Bolt is mismatched, barrel-bands milled, remaining small parts are stamped with large "winter" trigger-guard.  Bore is mirror-bright with permanently-attached front sight-hood, bold Israeli IDF crest above chamber. Beech 7.62-marked buttstock has quite a few handling-marks, scratches and dings from actual use but is sound. No cleaning-rod (stock was not ever routed out to accept one), buttplate rusty.  PHOTOS . . . $395.    C&R   

    ISRAELI Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 720830 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1954.  Very Good condition, with most bluing on metal surfaces, small parts turning brown with age. Bolt is mismatched, all milled parts, remaining small parts are stamped.  Bore is mirror-bright and strong with permanently-attached front sight-hood. Bold Israeli IDF crest above chamber. Beech 7.62-marked buttstock has quite a few handling-marks, scratches and dings from actual use and has a couple tacks pounded into bottom of grip. No cleaning-rod (stock was not ever routed out to accept one), buttplate rusty.  PHOTOS . . . $425.    C&R   

    JAPANESE Type 30 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle # 394518 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1904 with hooked safety and FINN civil guard markings. Very Good PLUS condition with nearly full original bluing (bottom of mag-floorplate and triggerguard faded from carry).  Chrysanthemum intact, bolt mismatched (as usual).  Bore is a bit rough but has strong rifling. Original unsanded finish on wood with a few of the expected handling-marks, AVF carved on left side, S106899 (Finn Civil Guard district of Jyvaskyla) stamped on right side.     PORTUGUESE Model 1886 Kropatschek bolt-action infantry rifle # UU938 (8x60R Kropatschek) mfg. by Steyr in 1886.  Excellent condition with gorgeous near-perfect bore. Metal has full bluing, bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered TT993. Completely functional with 8-shot tubular magazine and original cleaning-rod. Wood has original finish with bold 1886-dated Steyr cartouche on right side and circled cartouche containing crowned initials of King Luis I on left side. Has some of the inevitable handling-marks acquired over the past 128 years with original leather sling. Not import-marked, exceptional quality for these with remarkable full bluing on the usually-worn barrel-bands.  PHOTOS  . . . $850.    Antique, no FFL required   SOLD

    SERBIAN Model 1899Č Mauser bolt-action small ring short-rifle # 12303B (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1899.  Very Good condition, most remaining bluing browned from oxidation but intact. Bolt-handle matches receiver (the only numbered part on these). Bore is a bit dark and rough but would likely "shoot clean", Serbian coat of arms above chamber is quite strong. Stock and handguard has some handling marks and hairline cracks at tang and behind triggerguard, no cleaning rod and missing rear barrel-band spring. PHOTOS . . . $275.     C&R     SOLD

    SOVIET Model 44 Mosin Nagant bolt-action carbine # KR3453 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1947 by Izhevsk.  Excellent arsenal refurbished condition with 98% bluing. All matching stamped serial numbers, bore is strong and mirror-bright (and NOT counterbored). Includes cleaning-rod. Stock is very attractive with only a few minor dings from storage.     SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 45372 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle.  Near Excellent condition, with 80% or better fading original bluing on all parts. Has a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.50/1).  All-matching serial numbers except for rear sight and rear barrel-band, Walnut stock & handguard has original finish with some handling marks and bits of tape adhering to left side.     TURKISH Model 1903 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 19106 (8x57) rearsenaled by Ankara arsenal in 1936. Very Good or so condition, with some bluing remaining on all external metal, the original Toughra (royal Turkish cypher) is faintly visible at the top of the receiver. Bolt not matching (neither is any other numbered part). Bore is mirror bright and strong, rifle is completely functional and includes cleaning-rod, Walnut stock has some handling marks with a diagonal crack on left side and an arsenal repair on right side by buttplate.     U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 848193 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in January, 1945, a Raritan Arsenal rebuild with SA 6-43 barrel. Excellent condition with most Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and very strong (TE = 1.5, MW = less than 1.0). Walnut stock-set has white-painted rack numbers 936 on right side and 823 at bottom of butt, RA-P in rectangle cartouche on left side.     U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 3446711 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in January, 1945 with original SA 1-45 barrel. An all-correct (restored) WWII Garand in Excellent condition with most Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and very strong (TE = 3.0, MW = 1.0). Has uncut SA-9 op-rod and lock-bar rear sight. Walnut stock-set has crisp (restored) SA / NFR and ordnance-wheel cartouches on left side.
