CHINESE Model 56 SKS Simonov semiautomatic rifle # 2407837 (7.62x39) mfg. by Chongquin (factory 26) in 1957 with blade bayonet.  Very Good to Excellent (likely a "bringback") condition with 70% blue and a chromed mirror-bright bore.  All matching serial numbers, has somewhat battered but sound wood with 3/5 in circle neatly carved on left side, DOC carved in left grasping groove.  Includes cleaning rod and cleaning kit in butt-trap.   Not import marked, likely a bringback from Vietnam but without documentation.   PHOTOS . . . $1250.     C&R     SOLD

CHINESE Model 56 SKS Simonov semiautomatic rifle # 14141409 (7.62x39) mfg. by Chongquin (factory 26) in 1969 with cruciform spike bayonet.  Very Good condition with 60% blue and a chromed mirror-bright bore.  All matching serial numbers except mismatched triggerguard.  Solid wood stock has been cracked and repaired on left side with quite a bit of faint grafitti typical of rifles that were imported from Albania during the past decade. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 4260Z4 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in 1938.  Good condition, all external bluing faded to gray. Bolt not matching, top of chamber has bold two-tailed rampant Czech lion. Bore is somewhat bright and has very strong lands and grooves. Walnut stock and handguard has considerable handling marks and heavy dings but is sound.  Includes cleaning rod and front sight protector, with very worn leather sling. PHOTOS . . . $625.    C&R

EGYPTIAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 1907 (8x57), mfg. in the mid-1950's by Fabrique National in Belgium. Very Good or so condition, with bold Crown crest above chamber and most metal surfaces turning gray with age. Action cover has differnt serial number.  Surpringly excellent very bright and strong bore, original stock has quite a few handling marks, a repaired crack on right side and a brass buttplate.   100% functional, these are getting to be VERY scarce.  PHOTOS . . . . $1250.     C&R     SOLD

FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 5155 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1895 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition, barreled action has full bluing, triggerguard and barrel-bands has quite a bit of wear but no pitting.  Bolt body stamped 5155 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate isn't matching (usual for Finn rifles). Bore is strong but not very bright, has been counterbored at muzzle. Somewhat beat-up (but has original finish) one-piece Westinghouse buttstock has circular  3AKABb AHΓΙΠͶCKͶΛ (English Contract) cartouche on left side and UNIT-DISK stamped 243 in center, KTR3 above and VP below.  Includes cleaning rod and sewn-on web sling.  Not import marked.  PHOTOS . . . $800.*    Antique, no FFL required     SOLD

FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 49546 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1932 by Tikka. Excellent condition with 90% or better original bluing with a mostly bright and strong bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Bolt knob stamped 9546 (matching), includes cleaning-rod, three-piece stock has been lightly smoothed with quite a few scuffs and other handling marks. FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 16711 (7.62x54R) undated barrel mfg. by Tikka. Very Good condition with 80% or better original bluing with a bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Bolt-knob stamped °11 (matching), bolt body also stamped S101058 (also stamped on right side of barrel-shank) the Civil Guard unit stationed at Etelä-Pohjanmaa itäinen in the province of South Ostrobithinia.  Includes cleaning-rod, one-piece stock has very few handling marks.  PHOTOS . . . $750.   C&R     

FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 48017 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1937 by SAKO with SK.Y marked barrel. Excellent condition with 90% bluing. Bolt-knob stamped 8017 (matching).  Bore is very dirty but has strong rifling and will likely "shoot clean" (has NOT been counter-bored at muzzle).  S95153 stamped on right barrel-shank represnts the Civil Guard unit stationed at Vaasa in the province of Ostrobithinia on the West coast of Finland. Includes cleaning-rod, two-piece 28/30 stock has been sanded and has rough surfaces.  Not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $950.   C&R   

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 29027 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Valmet (VKT) in 1941 on a hex receiver.  Excellent condition, with full bluing and an excellent bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 9027 to match. Wartime stock has some lovely knurled figure with minor dings and handling marks. Includes cleaning-rod and correct green-leather sling.  PHOTOS . . . $825.     C&R    

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 508783 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1943 with SK.Y marked barrel. Excellent condition with 95% bluing on all metal parts and a very bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Bolt knob numbered 8783 (matching), numbers on magazine-floorplate and buttplate not matching (as usual). Includes cleaning-rod. FINN Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 278558 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1911 with straight bolt and unthreaded muzzle, [SA] stamped on left side of receiver.  Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better strong bluing on all metal parts. Has strong markings and a bright and strong bore  (disk marked 6.51/1).  All visible parts numbered 558 except cleaning rod, magazine floorplate & triggerguard has only crooked crown. Walnut stock & handguard has been smoothed in the distant past, with only a couple bumps since. Includes front sight hood and correct sling in used condition. PHOTOS . . . $975.     C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 6796a  (8x57mm) mfg. by Danzig in 1905.  Good to Very Good condition, most metal surfaces have patinated to brown (including the receiver, which was not blued but "in the white").    All matching serial numbers except bolt shroud and safety (both stamped 08), smaller numbered parts stamped 96.   "Rollercoaster" rear sight operates properly.  Has strong and somewhat bright bore.  Matching buttstock is original walnut with expected handling marks and dings from actual use, has been DUFFLE-CUT by rear barrel band (and has NOT been repaired) with 1" square repair on left side. Soldier's name J.B. PERKINS is neatly stamped on left side of butt and right side of forend.  There is a long thin crack on handguard. GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 4316r  (8x57mm) mfg. by J.P. Sauer & Son in 1916.  Good to Very Good condition, most metal surfaces have patinated to brown (including the receiver, which was not blued but "in the white").     All matching serial numbers, all smaller numbered parts stamped 16 except for barrel bands.   "Rollercoaster" rear sight works as intended.  Bore is mostly bright and very strong.  receiver has several heavy hammer marks. Buttstock does not appear to go with this rifle, is not numbered and has no visible cartouches.  Includes cleaning rod and detachable rear sling-swivel.  Not import marked, quite rare when matching.  PHOTOS . . . $1850.  C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser carbine # 301 (8x57mm) mfg. by Amberg Arsenal in 1916.  A rework of a Gew.98 infantry rifle with a 22" barrel and updated tangent sights in Excellent-PLUS condition wirh 99% refinished and reblued surfaces.  No matching serial numbers, a WWI rifle converted to WWII configuration in fantastic condition. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong. This has Birmingham Proof Marks suggesting that this was captured during WWII and brought to in England and thus subjected to their testing and proofing process. Buttstock is highly figured Calss A walnut and is flawless.  Includes cleaning rod and suitably worn sling with buckle.   Not U.S. import marked, very rare and interesting, not to mention quite beatiful.  PHOTOS . . . $1650.  C&R   SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3441d (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwald (code 243) in 1940. A Russian-capture rifle in Excellent refurbished condition. No matching stamped serial numbers, bore is mirror-bright and looks unused.  Has all-milled parts (solid front band) and nice laminated stock with several small repairs to bottom of forend. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3341c (8x57) mfg. by Berliner-Lübecker-Maschinenfabrik (code duv) in 1941.  A matching except for bolt 98k carbine in Near Excellent condition with intact (but tiny) Nazi markings and a bright bore with strong rifling. Bolt is numbered 4785c and all bolt parts numbered to bolt.  Has laminated stock and handguare with flat buttplate. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7427z (8x57) mfg. by Gustloff Werke (code bcd) in 1943.  A matching except for bolt 98k carbine in Near Excellent condition with intact Nazi markings and a bright bore with strong rifling. Bolt is numbered 876L and all bolt parts numbered to bolt. Nice laminated stock and handguard is a replacement from a Tugo 98k, and was likely needed to replace the original stock that was duffle-cut while overseas. GERMAN  Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6716a (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf) in 1944.  An all-matching 98k in Excellent condition with intact Nazi markings and a mirror-bright and very strong bore.  Has stamped small parts with laminated stock and handguard with very minor dings from actual use. Stock has been unfortunately coated with a very hard shiny tru-oil type resin finish, all cartouches still visible.  Includes worn leather sling, original cleaning rod, and front sight hood.  Not import-marked, an exceptional matching 98k.   PHOTO . . . $2750.   C&R     

INDIAN Enfield No.2A bolt-action rifle # A54721 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1965.   Excellent condition, with full Parkerized finish on all metal, some wear on magazine. All matching serial numbers including back of magazine, bore is very bright and sharp. Stock has some dents and dings, rear handguard and heel has usual repairs, "Ishie screw" present.  . INDIAN Enfield No.2A1 bolt-action "jungle carbine" # C3132 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1965  This has been shortened by Navy Arms.   Bolt numbered C3132 (matching), rear sight has has a peep added.  Condition is Near Excellent, with some painted finish chipping at corners and edges, new walnut buttstock has zero handling marks. SWEDISH Model 94 bolt-action Mauser carbine # 13178 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gusta iin 1903 with no provision for bayonet.   Very Good condition, with 70% or better bluing throughout. Has somewhat bright and very strong bore, all visible parts serial numbered 178.   Highly figured walnut stock has a 1" x 1/4" chip by nose-cap with original finish, white-metal unit disk stamped M / MDN / 532.  Has barrel extension, not import marked.  PHOTO . . . $925.      C&R     SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96 TARGET bolt-action Mauser rifle # 434049 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1917. All-matching serial numbers (un-numbered cleaning rod). Excellent condition with 90% bluing, bore is excellent (bore-disc marked 6.51/1).  M7 Soderin micrometer rear-sight mounted on receiver bridge, hooded front-sight with target-circle insert. SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 609522 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna in 1941 with bent-bolt and threaded muzzle fitted with a commercial flash-hider.  Excellent condition, with 90% bluing on all parts. Has a mirror-bright very strong bore (bore-disk indicating 6.52/1).  Rear sight has 100 meter zero. All-matching numbers (crooked crowns on magazine floorplate and front barrel-band, small bolt parts electro-penciled to match).  Beech stock & handguard has been refinished, with hardly and handling-marks. URUGUAY Model 1871 Mauser bolt-action single-shot carbine # 3120 (6.5x53.5SR Deaudetau) mfg. by Mauser in 1878 as a 11mm Carbine and converted at St. Denis to the Deaudetau caliber (also known as the DOVITIIS conversion). Near Excellent condition, with some mottling of metal (originally "in the white") from age. Bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 6945c, screw numbered. 85383.  22" bore is absolutely gorgeous, mirror-bright all the way to muzzle with strong rifling. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having only a few minor handling-marks and one very minor partial crack near tang, cleaning-rod in channel on left side of stock, saddle-ring still present. VENEZUELAN Model 24/30 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 8689 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique National in the mid-1930's Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99+% original factory bluing, receiver in the white (as is proper) with bold crest above chamber.  Bore mirror-perfect, all-matching serial numbers with cleaning-rod and .  Has milled magazine-follower and flat milled buttplate.  Wood has only a few very minor dings from storage, else looks unissued.   Not import-marked, and worthy of the finest collection.  PHOTO . . . $1650.   C&R    SOLD

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7238 (8mm) mfg. by the Nazis during WWII and rebranded at Zastava in c.1947/8.  Excellent condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 95% or better bluing on all metal components and a bright and  sharp bore. Top of receiver had Tito-era national crest that has been mostly SCRUBBED for some reason, left side has PREDUZECE 44 and Mod 98.  Bolt handle stamped 7238 (matching), has all stamped small parts with cleaning rod and original 98k sling with buckle.  Stock is laminated with a couple scuffs and a cross-bolt at wrist.  Not import marked.  PHOTOS . . . $725.     C&R    

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # A121525 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1948.  Excellent condition, a large-ring straight bolt ntermediate-length Mauser with 95% or better original bluing on all metal components and all milled parts, small Tito crest above receiver very bold. All serialized parts match receiver. Very sharp mirror-bright bore, stock is elm with one ding and virtually no other handling marks. All serialized parts match receiver. Very sharp mirror-bright bore, stock is walnut with only a few handling marks, small square arsenal-repair on right side.
